This area is out in front of the Super Dome and it was jamming! There was a stage with live music and loads of people hanging out having a great time pre game. What a great atmosphere. There were security folks everywhere which made it feel safe.

A nice open space set up before games and activities in the Superdome. Great location with a huge stage lots of activities plenty of food and a big crowd. Inside is a concession area that has a number of different things pulled pork, brisket nachos and pizza as well as beverages. Tons of beverage stands around as well places for people to talk. Take pictures. Just sit and enjoy getting ready for the big game.

This is a terrific venue for live music, and I wish they had more concerts here. I had the pleasure of seeing Alt-J for the first time at this venue then Anderson .Paak, which were two of the best shows I've ever seen! The acoustics that resonate through the amphitheater style seating, and the ability for magnificent visual effects, make this a great place to see a larger concert, without sacrificing the view, or sound. I love that it is outdoors, so you don't have the stuffiness of some of the indoor venues. I appreciate that they have a great beer selection at numerous beverage vendors. You have the choice of standing on the floor closer to the stage, or sitting in the seats, but no matter where you are, you'll be able to see and hear the concert perfectly. I absolutely love the experience here, and cannot wait to go back!

Live Nation Kickoff to Summer $20 concert tickets is the best time to grab so many tickets to the best show in town. Tonight, my concert buddy and I got to catch Lindsey Stirling and Evanescence. The weather was actually nice, not too warm or humid. Most concert starts around 7pm so I suggest parking at a meters since it's free after 7pm. I only paid parking for $1:60 and it was a walking distance across from the square.

What a location for outside music! The gods opened the clouds from an afternoon rain storm and it was pleasant temperature and wind blew ever slightly. Seating of reserved seats was good - but numbering system was nonexistent. Crowd mgmt was well orchestrated. Music was Bush, Live and Our Lady Peace. Acoustics for last band needed - Bush - was off for first half but quickly fixed. As usual alcohol and food were overpriced and undersized for value. Not much to be done there....

I love the open concert of this improvised music venue. Every concert is a unique experience, the sound quality was awesome, and the visual screens are a nice touch too. I've attended shows to see quite a a few musical acts including 30 Seconds to Mars, Incubus, Jimmy Eat World, Judah and the Lion and more at this venue. The only area I'm not fond of is the multiple bars throughout the venue. The mixed drinks and icy blended drinks taste like a sweet juice or slushy without much liquor. This is definitely a place for outdoorsy music lovers to come for a good time. However, I'm inclined to skip the drinks the next time I make it to a show but cannot wait for my next visit. If you love music and being outdoors-check it out

How much fun caN you have before the ULTIMATE fun of the Superdome experience? Every time we come to a game at the Superdome, our "pregame fun" is always supplied by the events of champions square. Live music, cold drinks, tons of people... an electric environment to get you pumped up before the game. Definitely a must do!

Champions Square continues to improve every year. When it first opened in August 2010 it was pretty basic in design and concept. Just a big open outdoor place for Saints fans to congregate before heading into the dome. Back then they didn't have permanent restrooms or even a permanent stage. They didn't think it was a good idea to even provide seating for us loyal fans. Everyone had to stand around the whole time they were there.Fast forward to today and Champions Square is something to be proud of. Free concert before every Saints game. There is a huge permanent stage. They have real restrooms now not those yucky portable restrooms. They built the beautiful grand staircase that leads right up to the dome. They also built a four level balcony on the east side of the plaza. And finally they thought of building an indoor area (Opening Act) where fans can SIT. You can also watch the game now on the numerous TV's in Opening Act. Of course food and beverages are sold at the square. The prices are a little high but at least they have stepped up their game. The food is much improved and the liquor is all premium brands. Their well brands are Bombay, Grey Goose, Ciroc, Crown, Jack, etc.Champions Square is an ideal spot for large crowds as it can hold thousands comfortably. Just in the last two years they have been holding numerous concerts here. While the square still needs more improvements (more seating is still necessary) it is an asset to the Superdome and New Orleans.

How is it possible that Champions Square has zero reviews? That's just weird. This is the space created adjacent to the superdome for partying/concerts/what not before you wander into the superdome. It seems really big when it's empty...but then you're packed in with a bunch of other fans and it seems quite small.Still it's a great space to enjoy before you head into the dome...or for a random concerts that sometimes occur.I think my favorite thing is that it feels like a canyon (pretty rare in NOLA, y'know) so besides enjoying whatevers going on, I can also pretend I'm in an old western. Yes, I know that's odd, but there ya go.

This is a shockingly good setup for a music venue. I was a little skeptical, but purchased general admission tickets for The Cult/Bush/Stone Temple Pilots. The stairs leading to the Superdome are PERFECT for those of us who just want to hang back and enjoy the music.Drink options are plentiful, both outside at several booths and inside the Opening Act bar. Sound quality is great. I wouldn't hesitate to attend another concert here.
