Catfish Charlie

I love this place! It's unfortunate that it's only open on fridays and Saturdays because its busy when it is open. I always crave it on a day its closed. The hours are shorter than preferred too. They're open 5-8. Still won't keep me from going! There are all you can eat catfish or chicken plates. The inside is so cute-its like cracker barrel on steroids with the inside decor! They have a pretty pond outside with fish and turtles. The plates come with fries, hushpuppies, coleslaw, biscuits with butter and jam..yum yum yum!! You can also ask for green onions. They serve a bunch of them in a cute mason jar! I obviously will be back here!!

I went to Catfish Charlie for the first time in years. The service was very good, but the combination catfish and shrimp was not very good. The catfish was way over cooked. I had to use a knife to cut it. The shrimp was better. We were just 15 minutes after it opened. We only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated.There are so many restaurants that serve catfish. Most are better than This restaurant. I was disappointed.

I was back in town again to revisit this restaurant I wanted seafood; I wanted a cozy little spot right in the heart of Gulfport, Mississippi. So I brought my husband with me this time. What a perfect spot for us to share a great dinner together . From the minute we walked in the door and to get to our seat we were greeted by southern hospitality the girl at the front and our waitress Haley . She was so sweet and friendly. You got yourself a great waitress . We loved our food and the service Thank you so much Haley

The food was awful. Tasted like cardboard. We ordered to go so I think maybe we didn't get fresh food. I had just came off a cruise and I was too tired so I didn't pursue with management. I may try them again since I live not even 5 minutes from there. Never actually ate in the restaurant itself.

Over the years I've been to this restaurant numerous times. Tonight it was a nightmare. It took us forever to get seated and when we did we waited about 15 minutes before waitress even approached our table. Of course we ordered the all you can eat except it wasn't all you could eat finally we just gave up and left. Very very disappointed. The reason I said it was all not all you could eat is because we waited so long in between them bringing us more fish and or chicken that we finally gave up. Really really going to reconsider whether I will go back here again.

Fish was great! Super service too! Ambiance was typical for a fish house. Will be back!

Always good food, service, and atmosphere. ItIs hard to find pieces of the coast leftover from the '80's. So glad this restaurant has survived.

This catfish had no taste!! it was by far the worst catfish I have ever eaten, people were line up on the outside, I told my friend it must be good!! $71.00 and change I wanted to ask for a refund ate 2 pieces of catfish had no taste very disappointed I will never go back again!!!

It breaks my heart to give them a 2. I've loved this place since it opened back in the 80's when I lived here. It's always been a first stop when returning to the coast. Now I'm not so sure.I found the catfish greasy, thin and overcooked. It had very little taste. I was extremely disappointed. I've recommended this place to everyone I've met at the various RV Parks we utilize. Now I don't think I can do that. Now I have to find another catfish restaurant.

Always excellent food and staff! Very clean and nice environment!! Love all of the decore! Reminds me of my grandparents restaurant before they retired! Very homey and family oriented!
