Cask

Didn't even know this place existed. Came here to check out their trivia night. Our trivia team is working our way through venues. Nice decor. Small spot. There was a guy selling empanadas on site. They were so buttery and flaky. The Buffalo chicken was a hit! Nice bat area..just wished they had a menu. What bat doesn't have a menu??? I told the bartender I would just view it online and she told me the one online wasn't accurate. This is why I deducted a star. How do u not have a drink menu??? I blindly chose a cabernet on tap and hoped it wasn't 76 dollars. Lol. It was a good cab so I got 2 since I couldn't view other options...but I digress. This is a really clean, intimate bar if you are looking for that type of setting.

Cons: there's no kitchen. There's a nice woman outside who grills/cook the food, so they have an extremely limited food menu. As someone who likes to spend her evening eating bar food, this is major con. Very spacious but not many tables. They have trivia on Mondays, but not during major sporting events (lsu v. Clemsons championship game). They don't give birthday shots! Ugh!Pros: They have daily specials, and on mondays, it's $3 off of specialty cocktails. The cheapest one is the voodoo punch coming in at $9. It's not a strong drink, but refreshing! The layout and decor is very mature and tasteful. They have a kept secret.. they have a complementary parking lot to the right of the bar. It's a secret because you can see the sign that says it's free when the gate is open--you can only see the paid parking signs.

We were really pleased with everything about Cask. My friend and I like to try different places when we go out so it was our first visit. The owner is great. She knows her stuff and makes a great drink. Cask has a bourbon selection well suited for an experienced connoisseur. The atmosphere was welcoming and felt comfortable. Great seating inside as well as the patio. We will definitely be back.

I went last night with some girlfriends for a late happy hour. I was excited to try a new wine bar in Mid-City. I got one cocktail, the 50 Grand, and it was pretty good. Unfortunately, the wine list wasn't as great as I thought it would be for a place calling itself a wine bar. It was no longer than a standard restaurant wine list. I got the 50 Grand, which was great. Since most of us were coming straight from work, we were a little hungry. Ultimately we left after one drink to get some food. Since this place is still pretty new, I'll be back to give it another chance. Hopefully they'll add some food options soon!

Recently, my friends and I went to Cask for a mid week celebration. It was my first time there and I really enjoyed it. The decor is lovely and the setting is very welcoming. The selection for 1/2 off bottles of wine was impressive. We the enjoyed Orin Swift Blank Stare. The GM worked that night and she provided friendly and fast service. I can't wait to return!!

A more cocktail themed bar next to the MidCity Bulldog taking the place of several previous bars that have been here. There seems to be a steady crowd of folks here and a lot of back and forth between here and the Bulldog. They have a bit more upscale scene than Bulldog here but the beer prices at both here and Bulldog are expensive unless you can get a good special or happy hour. You have a better wine selection and more cocktails here so that will bring in a bit of a different crowd than the Bulldog. Overall this is a decent place to hang out but really I would rather just go to the nearby Mick's Irish Pub than either here or the Bulldog these days.

I was exited to visit this novel wine-bar on Midcity and it didn't disappoint me. My boyfriend and I tried 4 different cocktails and they were perfect. I ordered the blueberry hill lemonade and British 75 since I'm a gin person and my boyfriend got millions of peach and Murad mule he is more a bourbon/whiskey person. The attention was good and the atmosphere was great. We'll definitely be back soon.

Had no idea this place existed, but was pleasantly surprised to stop in for a friend's birthday this weekend and enjoy several cocktails. Very nice spot - especially for Mid-City - with attentive bartenders and lots of space to hang inside and out. Food tent set up smelled very good, and was doing lots of business. Will have to go back and grab some. A little pricey, but once you see the decor and selections, that makes sense.

Stylish atmosphere, great drinks, and friendly & knowledgeable bartenders (in particular Barandon). Try the British 75 & Persephone's Vacation. Frozen schooners the keep your beer icy!

Wow. Finally a clean cool bar that has friendly staff. This place is awesome . Great drink specials. Parking out front.
