Not sure why Yelp reports this location as closed, but it is very much open and operating! The food is delicious and authentic. The owner is sweet and loves to chat and make friends. Would recommend this establishment. The inside is beautiful as well!

Loved this place! In town for Mardi Gras and it had good vegetarian options so we went. Honestly the best corn tortillas I've ever had. I had the tostada and it was delicious. Really fun decor and the drinks were delicious and strong. We'll definitely be back before the weekend is out.

I Live in New Orleans and this place is a local gem. AMAZING HOME MADE CHIPS AND QUESO and the tacos and tamales were to die for. The spicy mezcal margarita was also delicious so I had two. Lol ( I am. Light drinker so that says something) even with two spicy margaritas I left well and had the best time with the staff. I absolutely loved the guitar music and the decor. So I felt very comfortable as a single woman out with girlfriends. AN ABSOLUTE MUST DINE IN NEW ORLEANS.

4 stars because of service, but food was more of a 3. The aesthetics of Casa Borrega definitely win you over, but if you're not a fan of loud dinners - maybe skip this spot. They had some live music which was fantastic, but definitely made it hard to hear. Everyone was yelling over each other. We started off with the queso, salsa, and chips. One of the salsas had really great flavor and potential, but was so watery you could barely even pick it up with the chip. The queso had a grainy texture - we couldn't decide if we liked it or didn't like it. Chicken tinga meat in the tacos had absolutely no flavor, but the salsa that came with it helped to give it some kind of punch. Quesadilla was good though, and so was the elote! Really delicious!

The restaurant has reopened but with a very limited menu. The quality of the food is not the same and it is over priced. We ordered chips and queso but the queso was extremely watered down and the chips a bit stale. At this time they only accept cash or Venmo only.Very disappointed.

Went for the first time since reopening. Great experience! It's a little bit different but the fabulous atmosphere is the same. For cocktails, I ordered the Chingona and my boyfriend ordered a drink with Mezcal, Cassis, and chili around the rim. Both were delicious and strong, lol. The fish tacos were probably the best I've had in New Orleans. Everything fresh. Hugo and his team had some great service. They were helpful in providing recommendations and explaining the cultural significance of the ingredients/ dishes. We looked up flights to Mexico City after dinner
