Cannata's Family Market

This place is the worst. I purchased steak for fajitas and it was so bad that I thru up for two hours after first bite. I got my money back but not for the sides. Ther was no apology by anyone working there. I went through management upto the store manager and still no apology. There seems to be something wrong here. They are going through hundreds of teen girls here. They are replaced on a weekly basis. JUST WONDERING!!!!!

Great little family market right off the main drag with all the essentials. This market specializes in its meat department, wide selection of all kinds of cuts. Not much to describe - it's clean, effective and makes great use of a small space. It's been here a long time so obviously, it's modernized with the times but keeps that old time feel. Staff is friendly and helpful, spaces and aisles are all clean and uncluttered, all prices marked clearly. Vending machines and ice box outside. Parking is a little cramped but there's a spill out area with more parking spaces. Cannata's also carries its own brand of specialty items like herbs, spices and seasoning. Other than this, you get the idea as soon as you step in. It's not a supermarket but it definitely gets the job done.

The King Cake was a huge hit at my office in Houston, TX!!! It was so delicious!!

Parking is ridiculous. Id rather go to rouses just for that reason alone. There's not much to choose from. Not the place to go full on grocery shopping. It's more of a place to run in, and get something.

I was purchasing some ginger beer, which is a soda, but has beer in the name, no alcohol. The cashier asked for ID (I'm 40 years old the ID isn't the issue). I explained to the cashier that it was a soda, and the manager Rodney came over and asked what the problem was. I told them that they had the ginger beer in the system as alcohol but it was actually a soda. He picked up the four pack, pointed at the name where it said beer, and with an attitude said, 'Well they misspelled soda'. I was a little taken aback by this, as I was just trying to be helpful and didn't understand why the man was being argumentative and rude. I said 'yes sir, it's called ginger beer but it's actually a soda..' before I could finish he cut me off, and just loudly said 'NO' and actually took the four pack and walked away with it. Excuse me what? A 40 year old customer who was just trying to be helpful got treated like a teenager trying to pull a scam. It upset me very much that he chose to talk to me like I was stupid, when he's the one that doesn't know what ginger beer is. I will not be bringing my business to a place where management goes out of their way to be rude and condescending for absolutely no reason.

This location has great inventory, friendly but also very knowledgeable & helpful staff. Their meats and deli department are the freshest you'll ever find. Also, the freezer and produce sections are always stocked and cold. Their bakery is amazing and make sure to visit Cannata's for their "world Famous" king cakes and fresh backed treats.

Local owned business that has been overcharging its customers for generations. Typical Morgan City business trying to squeeze every penny out of its customers.
