Cannata's makes some fantastic King Cakes! For those of you that don't know, King Cakes are similar to Coffee Cake with colorful, sweet frosting of Mardi Gras colors and various decorative charms on the cake (beads, crowns, and a mini baby figure). We had one delivered to us, and it was absolutely amazing. (Also to those complaining here about the baby figurine not being inside the cake anymore, they don't put it in anymore because companies were getting sued over people choking on the baby figurine when it was placed inside a piece of cake, so don't blame them for being safe.) King Cakes are a Louisiana staple during Mardi Gras season, and it's great they can deliver to you nationwide as well. I totally recommend Cannata's for your King Cakes needs!

I ordered two (2) King cakes for my office to be delivered (by FedEx) today, Fat Tuesday 02.21.23 for our office celebration. CAKES NOT DELIVERED.Whoever at Cannata's set up the FedEx originally scheduled it for 2nd day delivery, they caught the error and corrected the delivery in the FedEx system to be delivered today.... STILL DIDNT HAPPEN.....FedEx will deliver the cakes tomorrow (ASH WEDNESDAY) by 1 PM. Cannata's thanks for ruining our Fat Tuesday!If I could give negative stars I WOULD.

When I'm in Houma my go to grocery is Rouse's but when I was in the area a few weeks ago I passed by Cannata's and had to stop in.Before Rouse's existed Cannata's was where everyone went. I had been here many times with my Grandma and in fact one of my first jobs was here. I was so happy to see they are still going strong and if I was expecting a trip down memory lane I was a little disappointed since it has changed so much. It's sleek and modern and the bakery (where I worked slinging out cakes and king cakes) has been completely overhauled. There's even a plate lunch line now and a little cafe for you to sit and enjoy your meal.Rouse's might be king in Houma but Cannata's has been there longer and they are still holding their own. Go show the little grocery store that could lots of love!

One of my coworkers received a king cake last week and placed it out in the break room. After having one the day before from another company that was pretty good, I was excited to try this one. Especially since this one had a filling - apple cinnamon pecan. I was expecting a gooey cake, but it was only just okay to me, not much of a filling - definitely couldn't tell that it was apple - like chunks of apple were not there. Pecans were a hit or miss. The actual flavor of the cake was had the cheap taste to me, kind of like a grocery store cinnamon roll flavor to me.Was a disappointment and easy to walk away from this treat left in the break room compared to others.

Needed King Cakes for a Mardi Gras party and Cannata's delivered big time! The cakes came fast and fresh with fun NOLA decorations including beads. I just had to open and serve. They were so tasty I sent cakes to business associates and friends as birthday cakes. The price is far lower than anything else I found on the web. So delicious! The snickerdoodle gooey butter was the crowd favorite.

I lived in New Orleans when I was little and had been craving a king cake for years. I ordered one from here and it arrived in two days by fedex. The cake was a bit messy but besides being huge the taste is exactly how I remembered it. I ordered a Bavarian almond filling and I can taste the almonds but it does not overwhelm the colored sugar and icing which is what I remembered it to be. The price of it now is $39.99 with free delivery or delivery included which is the cheapest you can find. I will be ordering more king cakes from now on, they have about 60 different type of fillings and I'm gonna try some of them, not all, but some, lol. Thank you guys, you brought me wonderful childhood memories.

I couldn't place an online order to get a half and half order of two separate King Cake fillings, so I called my order in and the service was not great. Aside from it being extremely hard to get someone to answer their order line, the lady I spoke to kept complaining about not being able to hear me and I was basically screaming in her ear. Anyway, I ordered half Strawberry Cream Cheese filing and half Pecan Praline filling to be shipped to me in Texas.I received the King Cake the day that I was supposed to, which was great. The King Cake looked so pretty and delicious; however, once we cut it, we didn't see any filling at all. There was so little filling in the cake that you definitely couldn't taste it and you could barely see it. Of all of the hundreds of King Cakes I've had in my life, this was the first King Cake that claimed to have filling in it, but really didn't have any at all. We will never order another King Cake from here again. To have to pay $8 extra for filling that wasn't visible or flavorful, we wasted our money. I'm sorry, but there are way better King Cakes to pay to have shipped out of state, and this is not one of them.

Great cake! I live in cali, I ordered a King cake from Cannata's and it arrived fresh and delicious. I ordered on a Monday, they shipped it Tuesday and it was at my door on Thursday, just as the 2day shipping advertised. Great flavor, will be ordering again. And... cheaper than the rest! 37.99 + free shipping!! Compared to the other King cake sites I saw starting at 50+ bucks + shipping. They have a returning customer in me!My one and only "complaint" is I wish they would put the baby inside of the cake and not just stick on top of the icing for us to see. Where's the surprise in who's gets the lucky slice if we see it right there?But, all in all, delicious cake and I will be coming back to them for my king cake needs. My wife has already ordered a second one to take to a work potluck.

Received a cinnamon king cake that was shipped to me from Cannata's. It was ok. I had people over specifically to enjoy a king cake, but unfortunately there was no baby in the cake. Everyone was disappointed. A card stated a baby was "inserted into the cake". I called Cannata's and they said it was against the law to put the baby in the cake as it was a choking hazard. They had put a baby on top of the cake along with other plastic trinkets. We expected there would still be a baby inside, as the card said. I ordered a king cake to be shipped from a different New Orleans bakery last year, and it had the baby inside. Maybe this is a new law?
