Absolutely the best place I've stayed in New Orleans and I go there a lot! Few things I loved..Wood floors, antiques, large room, comfy bed. Front and back porches to chill on as well as several garden/outdoor seating areas. They provide lotion in your room and more in the bathroom. Also a jar of Cotton balls and Qtips. The breakfast everyday was amazing. Staff, super nice. And tea! Great assortment of teabags. And they have signs everywhere "Quite between 9pm-9am" which I love because i like to sleep. It's walking distance to several great establishments like Mandina's restaurant and Finn McCools bar. I don't think you could find a better location. I stayed for five days and will stay there again. Highly, highly recommend.

Absolutely loved it! I have stayed in many neighborhoods all over the city throughout the years and I am so glad I finally tried the Canal Street Inn. It's a beautiful historic home that will not disappoint. The place is well maintained, super clean, and centrally located. Upon our arrival, the very pleasant innkeeper Julia met us, showed us around, and explained everything we needed to know. She also served us a delicious breakfast the next morning. The shower had the best water pressure you could ever want! Another bonus is Mandina's is a block away, about a 2 minute walk. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town. Enjoy!

Spent the weekend here with my daughter. Beautiful house with tons of character and charm. Room was a nice size and we had everything we needed. Every single person we encountered who worked there was super nice. Breakfast was delicious and a perfect amount of food for a great start to the day. I did like that this just a tiny bit away from the center of all the busier areas, but was close enough, and the trolley is literally at their front door, to get you where you need. There were a couple places a few blocks away we walked to for dinner, both were great...Katie's and Vessel. Had a great 1st visit to NOLA and looking forward to coming back!

This was a rather cool B&B. Very old (1912 the owner said). It had all the amenities you'd expect in a typical B&B but it DID lack some if the niceties of say a Hotel. The proprietors (Mike & Monica) were very nice & could have not been more accommodating with all our requests. They even allowed us to use their kitchen to prepare some meals. I must say they were excellent & really made us feel at home. My room was a basement room that didn't feel like a basement. Ground level room. Bathroom was nice by the shower stall was a little small & the hot water took forever to get to the shower. The bed had had better days. It was a little squeaky & sagy. The breakfast portion was very small but they did offer a variety of breakfast foods. Bigger portion sizes would have been better. The last point is convenience. They were directly on the Canal Street line which would have taken us right into the center of Bourbon Street. This was a solid Inn & I'd definitely stay here again.

We rented out the entire property for a party. This is a gorgeous property. The rooms were so clean and elegant. All of our friends absolutely loved how charming the place was. The staff was so friendly and worked with us on what we wanted to do for the party. We really appreciated how flexible they were. They went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied. I recommend this place if you want an authentic New Orleans place to stay that's elegant, personal, and away (but close and easy to get to) from the busy quarter. The location is in mid city with a street car stop right in front of the hotel, and walking distance from a few food places. Extremely well located to get around.

Canal Street is where we will stay when visiting NOLA from now on. It's SO pretty and well appointed, the rooms are great, comfortable, and provide all amenities. The innkeepers serve a different delicious hot breakfast every morning so do NOT plan to eat out until lunch! The Inn is right on the Canal Streetcar line so you can hop on that easily, or just grab an Uber. We loved our stay here and will be back!!

What a gem! Don't hesitate this is the place! Book it now! We were thrilled we found it!Owner Monica and Innkeeper Julia and staff go above and beyond to make your stay here an experience worth talking about. We came for a special birthday weekend and we're so impressed. The amazing food each morning was outstanding enough, but they made a point to surprise me with a lovely champagne toast (complete with glitter) and hummingbird coffee cake topped with a candle! Every morning was another fun surprise as several guests were celebrating. The food was delicious and what a special way to dine with fellow travelers and make new friends in their historic dining room. The outdoor gardens are beautiful and inspiring and we loved exploring them, and enjoying the landscape. It was too hot to enjoy the on site hot tub but it was a nice amenity to have.Only things were the lack of AC in our garden level room made it tough even with fans. And the bed was so tall this super short gal had a hard time and could have used one of those nice wooden stools bedside. Minor - this place was seriously AMAZING and if we ever go back it's exactly where we'd stay! Julia even came out to the trolley stop one day just to give us an umbrella because she was worried about us in the sun. That's the level of care and personal attention they give. Thank you, thank you for the memories and this special place! There is a special feeling of joy and hospitality you've created here. I feel blessed to have crossed the path of the staff of Canal Street Inn and will carry you and the experience with me. May we all aspire to be as lovely as this corner of the world.

From check-in to exit, we enjoyed the terrific hospitality of Monica and her staff. From those unfamiliar with New Orleans, The Canal Street Inn is, as implied, located on Canal Street, between City Park and Uptown, with a stop for the #'s 47 and 48 street cars directly across the street, which makes for affordable and convenient transport. Delightful breakfasts await each morning, and the accommodations are comfortable and "homey." Thanks, Monica, Dee, and the staff, for a most enjoyable stay.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying with Monica (owner) of the Canal Street End. With our years of travel we've never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before; after this last week I believe that is going to change. We live in Savannah, GA and love old world charm and architecture and the Canal Street Inn did not disappoint! our extended family rented out the Bed and Breakfast for a wedding and everything was perfect. Breakfast every morning was well coordinated and each meal was perfectly portioned (for those of you that want a "big ol' southern breakfast" you'll need to find the nearest Cracker Barrel restaurant). We found breakfast perfect to get your day of adventure started without feeling stuffed. The hospitality and laughs shared with our host and staff was a pleasant bonus. Any reasonable need was promptly attended to and exceeded expectation! Our stay was for four nights and I wish it would have been longer. We will definitely be staying here with our next visit to New Orleans. Thank you for your great southern hospitalit!

Great room and the breakfast service is outstanding. It's close to a lot of small restaurants with great tasting meals, and most single entrees and an appetizer will feed two people.
