Camp Parapet

According to https://neworleanshistorical.org/items/show/658 this is what remains of a fortification built by the Union side of the civil war in 1862. It is largely closed to the public, but I know I would love to explore this place. It is about a mile outside of the current city limits of New Orleans. It is essentially just a powder keg covered by cement, dirt and grass. Still would make a lovely place for a picnic.
