Friend stayed here she complained that there was mold. Management is terrible they don't care at all. Did nothing to help and kept her deposit

STAY AWAY FROM THESE APARTMENTS & ALL APARTMENTS THAT SHADOW LAKE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT OWNS! They have a toxic mold problem which they refuse to remediate. Toxic black mold (Stachybotrys) & other competing strands made me, my 3 year old son consistently very sick. A few neighbors had the same problem. I provided a doctors note, videos, and lab results but no one cared and somehow that wasn't enough. They also refused to give me my $2365 deposit back (charged me for a month I was not even there) after being on a month to month, having to abruptly move because THEY refused to remediate the situation, the doctor & mold inspector said we needed to leave, & most importantly my son could barely breathe I'm there. They refused to provide a clean and safe dwelling. The property manager (Blake) told me "there's just as much mold outside as there is inside" after expressing my concerns with proof. The resident services assistant (Brittney) refused to give me my deposit because she wanted me to pay for EXTRA additional labs as if the ones provided, videos, & a medical doctor's note didn't give a clear picture. She also refused to give me her supervisors information. Let's not even talk about the big black white wing carpenter ant infestation coming from the roof and behind the walls because of wet wood as if that wasn't another signal for mold. The audacity to put not only me but my 3 year olds son's health in grave danger and then try to penalize us. Had I not found out when I did, we would've been on respirators. We lived there for two years and were treated like animals for something they refused to check nor remediate. These are anything but luxury apartments. If you want Luxury & safe air to breathe head to The Waters on Manhattan cause if you value you and your family's life- STAY CLEAR. I gave them ample time to rectify the situation/ do the right thing so my son and I could settle into our new place but Brittney (Resident Services) has continued being nasty. I'm not sure who has made them feel so invincible to the point that they feel like they don't have to treat their tenants well but they picked the right momma bear. I'm looking forward to them being served.

Love the Calyso Bay Apartment, lived there for 18 months. Very safe and well maintained. I like to thank the management team. Loved the management team( Alyssa, Blake and maintenance manager). They all are very considerate and professional (even my dog Yoshi the Frenchie love them)! Only wished that the rent didn't go up so much, otherwise I would have signed another 18 months leased.

DO NOT stay here! it looks nice the model apartments they walk you through are updated. The apartments are dated, there is water damage, lots of mold in bathrooms windows. The cold air seeps in due to wood around windows being wet. Even after contact the main office they hired someone to come out and change the glass in the windows (confusing right). it's too much red tape that will go through so they can keep you here until the contract ends. They noise from the street is unbearable. The gym is outdated w/mold. RENT at your own RISK.

My god all that glitters isn't gold! I live on the 2nd floor and for the first time in my 12yrs of renting apartment complexes and homes in various cities this is the first time I seen a rat and not one two! Imagine you're paying $$$ for rent and it's not safe and they have rats and the only solution is to put down 2 glue traps that you and your autistic son has to avoid! I hate it here and I wish I would've listened to the other reviews! Security here is terrible everyone can get in here cars are broken into even with Jefferson parish officers living on property! They have ants (imagine walking into your apartment on the 2nd floor to a trail of ants in your carpet) the also have house roaches! Blake is okay but Alyssa is never the person to deal with she's always rude but honestly they're both pains! The wait list to get into this place is long as hell so they don't take time out to do any renovations! ALSO THESE APARTMENTS ARE PAPER THIN! Regular things like you vacuuming or dropping your phone out your hand onto the carpet will have you and your downstairs neighbors at odds!

Lovely, graciously-styled apartments that are well-managed. Wouldn't live anywhere else in Gretna!

Do not stay here. The staff will be especially nice up to the point of signing the contract and receiving your keys. Staff are not customer oriented and come across as dismissive when issues are addressed.
