Caluda's King Cakes

Who ever gave this place 4 stars or less is INSANE! Stopped by and picked up a single serving of Oreo cream cheese king cake and a whole Bavarian king cake. Guys were super friendly. There was no wait! They are ready for MARDI GRAS! Cute place. Come get some!

The king cakes were so good! I loved the wedding cake.. so delicious. I liked the red velvet! The nectar snoball was so good, my fave out of the three! I love their traditional one & Oreo cream cheese too!

The Wedding Cake King Cake is to die for. It is so moist and delicious. John needs to put it on the regular menu of his King Cale Flavors. It is a home run!!!!

This is one of the best king cakes I've ever had, and I've had a lot. I always judge king cakes by their plain one because I know if that one rocks the filled ones will undoubtedly be amazing. Caluda's plain king cake is damn near perfect. They have the perfect amount of icing in my opinion and the cinnamon runs throughout the cake so each bite is as good as the last. None of that dry, hollowed out in spots , inconsistent cinnamon thread is happening here. And listen I'm a HUGE fan of Rouses in general, but when I hear people say they have the best king cakes I'm always just wondering WTF because umm sorry but no they do not. But I digress.Anyways, here in Lafayette (home of the bs donut king cakes...which is just sacrilegious and an insult to traditional king cakes) you can get a fresh Caluda's king cake at Costco at carnival time. They ship tons of them everyday but they do go fast, so when you see one, grab it. You'll never ever say Rouses has the best king cake again. That's a promise.

This cake came in the mail.!!I got my King Cake on the exact date they told me. It came very fresh, Not stingy on the icing or colored decoration sprinkles. The cake was absolutely delicious and fresh, Full of cream cheese. We be getting our King Cakes here from now on. Excellent ..!!

Ordered cake online... almost 30 dollars for shipping. Cake comes in damaged. I reach out via phone and email multiple times, no answer. Then I see on their website you have to file a claim through Fedex. I do that. 14 days pass and Fedex declines and say they have a special agreement with Caluda and they have to take care of the refund or replacement. I emailed Caluda and called them again no response! I gave up and said "f" it.Thennn a few weeks later my card gets charged for another cake and shipping out of no where with a delivery date of the old order!!? Their phones are down for the "season" and I sent another email on their website and reached out to their support. Guess what? No answer.... Horrible, Horrible service. Never order through them!I'm out 120$ now! Please answer your emails or your phone.

Wait, I'm shook that I've never written a review! This is my second favorite king cake and it's amazing that you can be in and out without having to wait in line for hours upon hours. I'm a traditional girly so don't ask me about all those fillings but if you want a good, moist piece of king cake this is the place for you!

Tried the guava king cake today! So fresh and delicious and not overly sweet! You can taste the guava! It was worth driving to Elmwood for! And they were super busy! Good for them. I love Caluda's and their daily/weekly specials.

I purchased a Caluda's Cream Cheese King Cake from Canseco's in Gentilly! The cake itself is soft and delicious. I searched specifically for this king cake (I wanted apple or lemon with the cream cheese also). My only complaint is the small amount of cream cheese in it, it needed more! However, it was still extremely delicious and worth every penny. There is nothing I hate more than a dry King Cake, and Caluda's is very far from that. I plan on trying some other flavors before Carnival is over.

Delicious king cake. Very fresh and lots of icing.It was a last minute purchase but I would buy again.
