Cake Goddess

Cake was excellent! A little on the pricey side though! They do give a complimentary smash cake for my grandsons first birthday!

Pics on the internet look amazing but when we went in, not very many choices. Two ladies working were not very welcoming. Even a sign on the door that tells you don't come in if you want to order something because they have enough orders. Ok - sounds like these cakes must be amazing then. Right??? Bought the cookies and cream cupcake. It was almost $5 for one cupcake. Went to bite into it and it was basically frozen. Tasted like the generic cakes at Winn Dixie that are made and shipped in. Not good at all. Not sure what all the hype is about. Won't waste our money here again.

Was slated to attend a local bakeries Yelp event, but got inundated with grad school work and couldn't make it. The local bakery didn't offer delivery to my place, but Cake Goddess did and oh my stars! This was my first time trying Cake Goddess and it certainly won't be the last! I tasted a bite of every single thing I ordered and everything was divine. However, my absolute favorites would have to be the fresh strawberry cupcake and the carrot cake cupcake! You can't go wrong!

I personally think Cake Goddess has the best cake and cupcakes in Baton Rouge. I mean, I have not had a bakery that comes close to the taste and quality of the cakes, cupcakes, and ooey Gooey cakeFor the the cake alone, they would get a 5. However, I think it takes more thank just having a good product to get a good review. I have gone in a couple times on different occasions and they are not welcoming at all. My most recent visit was 9/8/2017. There were 3 employees there. There were no other customers at that moment but me and my aunt and it felt like we were bothering them by patronizing them. Another lady walked in when we were wrapping up our transactions and they weren't welcoming to her either.I do think they have good products but I think they need to improve on customer service.

Cake Goddess made a delicious cake for our daughter's birthday and was able to get us in last minute after another bakery led us to believe they could get us in but didn't. Everyone was saying how AMAZING the cake is.

I popped in to this cute, corner bakery after an event I attended next door. I've read their reviews before and thought it was the perfect opportunity to pop-in before heading home on a Saturday afternoon. The space was cute, which a nice open kitchen. They had an array of cupcakes and cakes on display, which all looked yummy. The strawberry cupcake popped out at me because it looked so fresh and I was feelin' strawberry that day! Just from this cupcake alone, it put me on the excitement track for trying the other ones. Unfortunately, I had to put the brakes on the excitement train because I could not go full throttle on desserts. Ya know... trying to stay on track with my health goals. The cupcake was delicious though. It looked very rich and decadent, but had that subtlety to it. The icing was not super sweet and the cake was moist, which was probably from the fresh strawberry piece in it. I enjoyed it very much. In fact, I keep thinking about going back to get another one. It tasted like it came right out of a "Strawberry Shortcake" book. I did however agree with one of the other Yelpers (Shan E.) on was customer service. I did not get the warm & fuzzies in here like I have from other bakeries in town. Found out that they are moving to another locations, so I get that is stressful. These days, with so many businesses coming up in Baton Rouge and competition is getting greater, customer service really does matter. I will definitely be back... not for the customer service, but for more cake or cupcakes! They were darn good and can't wait to see their new space!

Pure confection perfection! The absolute best cake ever. While sweets are my down fall, I have to say It has to be worth the calories for me to indulge. And this my friends, is so worth every calorie and then some. The cakes are always moist and delicious. The icing is simply divine. They also offer chess squares, gourmet cupcakes and wedding cake slices which are all just as divine as the cake. They make a great dessert choice or just when you need a little pick me up or something for the screaming sweet tooth. Their staff is always friendly and courteous.

The cakes-in design and flavor-are simply divine!! Buying a cake from here is always an amazing decision!

Ooooh the cake the cake the cake! It was SOOOOO adorable. Such a hit. Everyone loved it. I hated to cut. It was also delicious!And that Odie was so perfect. Incredible attention to detail. The ladies provided great customer service.

I would think this cake was an April fools joke but it's the middle of January. I called to place an order for a cake and they were really nice on the phone! I sent them an email attaching the inspiration and we designed the cake together over the phone. For some reason they said they couldn't write happy birthday on the top...I had high expectations for them based on the photos they post online. Needless to say I was BEYOND disappointed. There is no reason this cake should have been $140... it looks like they did it blindfolded. My mom went to pick it up and they had a nasty attitude. Ambrosia is the way to go the people are way nicer and your cake will actually look good. *I tried to add photos but they won't upload... shocker*
