Food:Yakamein aka Yaka Meat (NOLA style) - I hadn't had this exquisite NOLA native cuisine in a long time and I hadn't been craving it especially with the lowered temperature in the city. It was filled with nice chunks of beef, shrimps, and chicken. The broth was perfect (some places make it way too salty) and definitely satisfied my palate.Seafood Gumbo - Like most New Orleanians like me, we don't eat just anyone's gumbo. This hit the spot in every way gumbo should hit the spot!Service:Impeccable! Everyone I've come in contact with at Cajun's on Broad Street have been nothing short of wonderful. My experience has been amazing because they will address you with a smile as soon as they see you. They take your order and engage you in conversation treating you like a human being and not $$$. The staff is courteous and efficient.Ambiance: Fun family vibe and personal attention. If you're ever in the New Orleans area, come and give this business a try. You can only order takeout because there's no seating area to enjoy your meal there which is the reason I rated it 4 stars. Nonetheless, staff is everything and the food is soooooo delicious.

Nothing is worse than making your way out of a busy day and schedule to go to a restaurant according to their posted and shared hours to get there and realize they make up their hours based on how they feel that day. Totally unreliable. Choose a more professional place to spend your money.

Legit cajun seafood boil in a sketch area. If you're looking for ambiance or an experience, this isn't the place (unless the experience you want is an adventure). Tourists be warned. It is takeout only - there is no seating available. I saw a few pictures and reviews on Yelp that mentioned seating but that is not the case, at least not at the Broad location. It's small inside and you get in line to order and then pay at the register. There are some free parking spots around the corner on Washington Ave in front of the beauty supply store. Don't bother trying to park in the restaurant's parking lot, it's a mess with everyone double parked so even if you find a spot you might get blocked in. Honestly we were a little concerned about leaving the car around the corner where we couldn't see it, but it was fine and we weren't there for too long. You can definitely tell this place is a local's favorite. It was packed and had a long line to order when we walked inside. The staff was very efficient though and the line moved quickly. The service was expedient, about what I would expect from a seafood market type of establishment. Courteous enough but definitely no nonsense as they are very busy and have to run a tight ship to keep things moving along. They mistakenly overcharged me for something and when I pointed it out they refunded the difference without any issues. As for the food, everything we tried was on point. 10/10. Crawfish was super tasty. The cajun seasoning was flavorful and spicy. I don't know what they did to the corn but it was amazing. They must have boiled it in butter or something. Potatoes were perfect and had great flavor. We also ordered the shrimp fried rice and shrimp po-boy, both were great. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. If this place was near me I would probably be going every week to get my crawfish fix. I'll be checking out their other location and will definitely be back here again.

Cajun Seafood in New Orleans offers a spacious ambiance that's immediately welcoming, yet you'll find the seating quite limited. As you step inside, the aroma of a spicy seafood boil tantalizingly fills the air, promising a feast for the senses. The crawfish, a first-time order, delivers a punch of flavor with a notable cayenne kick, making it a memorable dish despite its premium price point. The experience is somewhat marred by the staff's apparent indifference, seemingly more eager for closing time than customer service. This lack of engagement is noticeable, especially given the scant number of patrons during the visit. In summary, while Cajun Seafood dishes up flavors that are bold and authentic, the high prices and lackluster service temper the overall experience. It's worth a visit for the food alone, but set your expectations accordingly when it comes to value and service.

Wow... my friend recommended me to this place for seafood boil. First off .. apparently it's in the hood per my Uber drivers. They don't have anywhere for you to sit, so you purchase & bring it back to your place. It's super spicy if you can't handle spice. I could handle it, but was struggling. The sauce is really flavorful & it doesn't taste oily like other places I've had. I'm Asian and the rice isn't what I'm used to (hard long grain). The crawfish was fresh and I probably paid the cheapest ever for 3lbs of seafood. Definitely recommend.

Found this place first on Yelp and then when talking to our Uber driver he mentioned this place without being prompted so I knew it was going to be great. At first was thinking of getting a shrimp poboy but Uber driver mentioned to try a hot sausage poboy dressed with cheese; "order it like that!"... so that's what I got! I ordered a small which is a foot long. I can't imagine grabbing the large! I barely finished my food because it was so filling. Service was good; there's 2 spots to order from (boil vs. fried food side) but since it wasn't busy, they only had one line open. You walk up to place your order, pay, and get your number that they call out once ready. Place is very spacious and clean. We ended up coming again the day we were leaving for a quick bite. A local hot spot!

Fantastic every single time. Cajun Seafood tends to be really consistent and delicious. As I've said before, this is the best spot for boiled seafood in the city! It's been a hot minute since we've come to get food here, and we noticed a few changes. It's not such a "hole in the wall" kind of place anymore; I would say it's a little less divey since they revamped it. However, the boiled seafood is just the same as before!I admit we went a little overboard this time. We got some: *Shrimp fried rice - Pretty great! No skimping on shrimp, fresh scallions, no complaints. A welcome addition to our go-to order.*Potato salad - Really great side to cool your mouth if the spice level of the boiled foods are getting to you!*Fried soft shelled crab - Flavorful, well seasoned, soft and crunchy as expected *Boiled shrimp - The shrimp here is amazing ALWAYS!! It soaks up enough juice to make it flavorful and delicious, but not enough to make it unbearably spicy.*Boiled mushrooms - It really soaks up the juices, which make it SO spicy. The heat kills my mouth, but it's really yummy and hard to stop eating.*House mixed lo mein - This one was a little too sweet and greasy for my taste, but other people might like it this way! The lo mein had a small amount of chicken and shrimp for protein.*Crawfish pie - It wasn't as crispy as I had hoped. Not superb, but this place is the spot for BOILED seafood, not baked! This place might be a little more expensive than some other area dives, but not by much, and it's SO worth it. If you're going for boiled, you HAVE to try Cajun Seafood!!!

OMG! The best Cajun Seafood and Po Boys ever!!! The gumbo is the best I've ever had- a deep rich seafood stock full of of shrimp, chicken, andouille and crab. Soft shell crab Po Boy and hamburger Po Boys were fresh and delicious on soft yummy bread. Wings are fabulous, I had the Dungeness crab was spicy and delicious, $19 for a lb of these babies, seasoned delicacies! Service was awesome! These ladies and gentlemen really are very hospitable and friendly. The only thing that scared me was the security guard with an AK 40, I guess it's the neighborhood....Ambiance - no tables so everything is to go, they also sell their fresh seafood by the lb. The best!
