I used to eat here frequently before moving away for about 12 years. A relative in the hospital next door brought me back. Simply said, it was not bad, but it lacked the quantity and quality of toppings this place was so good for. I had the crawfish etouffee potato. Very little etouffee and very bland.

Never again! Ordered a salad from Cajun potato kitchen and threw it in the trash because it was disgusting! I have never heard of using shredded lettuce for a salad before but that is how they make it. That was strike one because for almost $11 i should have some decent lettuce. Strike 2 was the tiny and slightly mushy shrimp that was put on top the lettuce HOT so that the already tiny pieces of lettuce wilted. The cucumbers were not fresh either and looked like they sat in the cooler way too long. Strike 3 or is it 4 or 5? Anyway the salad dressing didn't pour out of the cup like traditional salad dressings do, more like it came out in clumps. I am attaching photos to show how i threw the entire thing in the garbage. This was at the Houma store not sure how i ended up on this one because i specifically searched for the one in houma.

I don't spend much time in Thibodaux, but I had to go for a work conference and was hoping to enjoy a good, Cajun meal while in the city. This place was recommended by a local, so my coworkers and I figured we would give it a try- always trust the locals, right? I think the most important thing to note is the incredibly slow service. We went during lunch and it was very busy. The lag time between when the first person in our group got her food to the last was about 20 minutes. We were pressed for time and thought this counter service restaurant would be quick. Well, think again. The food: nothing to write home about. The gumbo, advertised as shrimp and crab gumbo, had one tiny shrimp in it and wasn't very tasty. The potatoes were fine; however, if your restaurant name is The Cajun Potato, I expect your potatoes to knock my socks off.

Everything is good here. I especially like the seafood potato. I have an allergy to gluten and it's nice to have a fast food hot meal that's close to Nicholls State when ball games happen

Cajun Potato Kitchen is a really great little gem for a casual lunch!!Being close to Nicholls State, you will find a great variety of patrons here, from students in pj's to suit-wearing professionals, so come as you are. No worries.The menu boasts potatoes topped with just about anything you can imagine, from the classics sour cream, chives, and cheese or chili to a more robust offering such as seafood or barbeque. I have not had a potato I didn't enjoy, they load 'em up fierce!I have had the potato soup once. I was expecting something thick and creamy like a baked potato soup, but it was really really soupy. Chunks of potato in a bath of cream, butter, cheese, and chives. With a little help with some salt and creole seasoning (at the table to be used at your discretion), it was pretty tasty.... $5 tasty??? Ehhhhh....In the same kitchen, they prepare the orders for College Dogs. Same principal (load anything you want) on to a choice hot dog. The dogs are large and tender, very very good! Chicago style, BLT, Mexi (taco toppings), you can't go wrong. Simple, fast, tasty... well done!

I had a crawfish baked potato. Quick service and many options. Great for a quick bite of you want to venture out into the local food scene. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Just ordered three to go at the new location here in Thibodaux since it's not listed on here yet it's 1615 St. Mary St. Phone # 985-492-1073... Next to the Rite Aid. I ordered the crawfish étouffée potatoes small it was darn good my brother ordered the chili cheese he could not finish it it was that big! And my my mother went crazy over the chicken and gravy potato! You get a lot folks! I will be going back to try everything out because I just love potatoes for starters!!!
