Despite this being my first swamp tour I feel qualified after this tour to share a favorable review of our enjoyable experience on the "buy-oh" (bayou). The boat is large, stable and flat like a pontoon, easy to walk around and look out on all sides so you don't miss the views or wildlife. Comfortable seating and covered so you have both sunshine and shade. Captain Gaston is friendly, energetic, entertaining and knowledgeable. He talks you through local history, a wide variety of swamp wildlife and a few jokes too. He found us some gators (the main attraction for me), bald eagles, jumping fish, ducks and many other birds, plants, trees, Spanish Moss and a feel for the bayou. He called the gators by name. We fed some gators and he helped passengers feed the gators too. Mostly little kids fed the alligators but some adults too. He also let the little kids steer the boat some and seemed to make those kids feel important and special. They all had big smiles. This was a fine tour and worthwhile for sure.

This is a great tour with great information about the history of the swamp. The guide is very friendly and knows his stuff. He got multiple bald eagles and gators to come right up to the boat. Very cool. Highly recommend.

Captain Billy was a pleasure to be with. He knows the swamp like the back of his hand - even the gators respond to the sound of his voice! He gave us an educational tour of the bayou and even let us feed the gators and steer the boat. Captain Billy makes you feel like family and welcomed in his neck of the woods. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone wanting to see the beauty of Louisiana!

Alligators, fish, birds, very beautiful scenery.Capt Black also stops the boat and drifts for a while and sings some Cajun songs. The tour was reasonably priced, very informative and a very good time.I would take the tour again.

Just back from my second Eagle Photo Tour with Captain Billy Gaston. Once again an awesome trip to see the American Bald Eagles in Bayou Black. We saw over a dozen eagles in trees, nests, and soaring over the bayou. An incredible sight to experience. We also saw alligators, white egrets, blue herons, turtles, anhingas and the beautiful swamp.

Highly recommend for several reasons: Captain Billy Gaston shares his knowledge and love of the bayou, it's animal inhabitants, and his boyhood memories. He made each of his guests feel welcome, and part of the adventure. You'll have an unforgettable experience.
