Outstanding food and service!!! Ambiance was second to none! Visited during a trip from Ohio and was not disappointed!

The place is decorated very well but it was LOUD! I mean loud like a bar which is fun if you're out partying but if looking for a romantic dinner then this isn't the right setting because we had to yell to talk to each other and we were sitting right next to each other. The place was packed out with high energy, live music and shoulder to shoulder people. The service was slow but they were extremely busy & the owner did apologize. We were seated 15 minutes before our reservation which was nice but the cocktails came 20 minutes after our actual reservation time so although I tried to blame the wait for drinks on our early arrival I think it was just the need for extra help behind the bar. Perhaps an additional bartender on weekends would help speed up the wait for a drink since it was at least 20 minutes before we got a cocktail. The wait was worth it because the Dragonfruit Martini is AMAZING! The sweet sugar on the rim mixes with the tartness perfectly! The presentation was beautiful! We had heard the steaks were better than Vestal & Ruth Chris in Lafayette but the meat was so tough I didn't eat it. we were actually surprised by how tough they were. Maybe it was an off night or maybe we should've ordered another dish. We will go back when in a drinking party mood and give it another chance but won't order steaks next time. Perhaps seafood Yes, I recommend this place if looking for a fun time.

My husband and I came here for Father's Day weekend after hearing and reading the reviews. Let me just say this, the welcoming service, ambiance, and food were exceptional! We had reservations for 5pm dinner and were welcomed at the door. The waitress and I'm assuming the owners were conversational and very welcoming. The waitress told us about the off menu items. My husband ordered Waygu Bevette steak with Brussels and mashed potatoes and I ordered the Teche Wellington and a side of cheese grits. Appetizers were Creole Tomato Salad and Breaux Bread. All were AMAZING, flavor- full, and nicely portioned. My husband and I have experienced and love fine dining and this is at the very top of our list! We will definitely be back soon. If you are in the southwestern Louisiana area, I encourage you to pay Cafe Sydnie Mae a visit. You'll definitely love it!

I am not exaggerating--visiting this restaurant was one of the best experiences of my life. The atmosphere is absolutely magical. We visited on NYE and I couldn't have dreamed of a better way to start 2024. We were served by Nikki and Lacey who were absolutely amazing. We met owners David and Cheryl and I cannot stress enough how generous, helpful, kind, etc the entire team at Cafe Sydnie Mae is. We felt like we were regulars/family. As for the food-- where to begin? We practically ordered the whole menu because we couldn't resist. This chef is clearly a generational talent. She was absolutely phenomenal. Not a single dish was anything less than exceptional. Dishes were bursting with flavor and exciting. I only wish I didn't live states away because this is the type of place you need to go to be reminded how beautiful and amazing life and people can be! Worth the drive/flight/everything.

Best Mother's Day brunch here we had such a great time. The staff is super friendly. They had live music playing. I can listen to this all day and the food was magnificent. I highly recommend the grits of grillades. Chef Kim Nuzum never disappoints. Cynthia our server is super friendly. Her smile is so magnetic ask for her every time!

I travel often for work to many popular destinations in the US, which includes eating in many high end, well known restaurants. Cafe Sydnie Mae beats them all. Food is well prepared, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Would highly recommend Cafe Sydnie Mae

Yummy! Yelp helps us out yet again on one of our road trips. We both ordered Atchafalya omelette and it comes with a big biscuit, bacon and grits. All was excellent and served with home made honey butter and home made strawberry jam. The hush puppy app is super good. And-- the place is CUTE!!!

This place was amazing. First off, with no reservation on a Saturday night (12/30) the manager still accommodated us. We sat at the bar and Haley (the bartender) took care of us. She was the busiest person in the place and yet she made us feel like we were her priority all while giving us a show. Lastly, the food!!! I ordered the shrimp and grits. I rarely eat out where I don't need to enhance flavors with salt or Tabasco. If I would've added anything it would have ruined a perfect dish. Then Haley suggested the bread pudding... OMG!!! I cannot say enough about this place. How do I give them 10 out of 5 stars?

The most amazing all-around experience! Our meal, the staff, and the man and woman entertaining us made it a magical experience!!Background: I made a dinner reservation for our 28th Anniversary. Before arriving, we didn't confirm our reservation time until what we thought was 45 minutes out for a 30-minute drive. After looking at our calendar, it showed our reservation was in 15 minutes, not 45 minutes. With zero chance of making it on time, I called the restaurant. After I explained to the person who answered our call that OUR mistake would cause us to miss our reservation by at least 25 minutes, the gentleman said in a very calming and reassuring voice, no rush, take your time; when you get here, your table will be ready. This was comforting, especially since it was our mistake and not theirs. To top it all off, they had an Anniversary Card on the table for us signed by all their employees, and at the end of the meal, they presented us with a complimentary Anniversary dessert. Again, the food, the staff, the atmosphere, and the entertainment truly made our Anniversary Epic!! Thank you, Cafe Sydnie Mae!!

The food is great. Too many favorites there. If you like live music for brunch this is the place for you. Service is always great!
