Watching live music while in New Orleans is definitely a must-do and Cafe Negril is the perfect spot to do this! My hubby and I, had so much fun getting to attend the record release party for the Queen of Frenchmen Street - Sierra Green and The Giants that was held at Cafe Negril on Saturday night 09/28/24 (see videos included in this review of the very talented artist & musicians live in action & please excuse any hollerin' that you may hear, just know a good time was definitely had!!)Cafe Negril is a live music venue located on Frenchmen Street (recommend checking out the calendar for the live music lineups scheduled) and while on a mini vacay in NOLA I had it on our itinerary to go to Cafe Negril for some awesome live music and dancing.Since it was a record release party, you had the option to reserve a table online beforehand, which I did and you got to choose your table location (only paid $10 pp - I'm sure the cost varies depending on the event - see pic included in this review of table location I chose). I'm so glad that I reserved a table for us to go sit at between dancing breaks ;). With there being a limited amount of tables inside, any table that was reserved had your name & # of people printed/displayed so your table wouldn't get taken by others. Till next time! Rebecca

The live music at Cafe Negril was excellent. It has "hole in the wall" vibes, but it was just what I needed! The vocalist was great. The band was talented and fun.The bartenders were nice and we even found a new drink at the bar. I assume they have a cover on many nights, but on this particular night they didn't, which was a nice touch. There are tables and chairs off to the side, an area that appears to be VIP, bar seating, and a standing area in front of the stage. I wish more people were actually dancing on the dance floor.

Nice big loud venue for drinks and jams. Treat yourself to a visit. They're a nice part of the street!

We were told that the best part of New Orleans is the music. We came here because they had a free cover band. The band was amazing. They played a ton of hits and threw in some line dances. I am glad we came here. The place is crowded and they serve plenty of drinks. I gladly tipped the band $20. Please stop by during live music nights.

A funky good time. I stopped in on a Saturday and hit the jackpot with Jason Neville playing and there wasn't a cover. The crowd was fun and easy going. Bartenders were fast and friendly. Great spot!

Absolute best service love this lady at service. She absolutely stunned as a sweet soul and a beautiful server. There was nothing I asked for that was not accommodate. She took care of me and my family on Christmas Eve with absolute dignity and the sweetest sense of humanity.

This is my go-to for music on Frenchman's Street, every time I'm in New Orleans. I wandered in here one evening, randomly, and saw this woman step casually on stage in a t-shirt and yoga pants, no makeup, and TAKE. THE ROOM APART. WITH. HER. VOICE. Hands down, this place has the best music on Frenchman's if you appreciate killer vocals & musicians. And, go there on a night when Sierra Green is playing if you can. She is amazing.

My friend and I stumbled upon this bar walking on Frenchmen street and I am SO glad we stopped in for 1.5 hours! Not sure if that's long or short but we listened to their entire set(s). There were no cover. The band was amazing and I'm glad my money went to the band as a tip/donation. I have a new appreciation for jazz music! Definitely stop by if you can!

Lone star (Ross) is the single best bartender I have ever encountered. He is so attuned to my needs that he knew I was going to order 5 green tea shooters before I even opened my mouth. He's very funny, has excellent rhythm, and the best goatee. I even heard from a very reliable source that he eats pussiore like a le$bean. I will never NOT come here. Also, the ring light mirrors in the bathroom are a GREAT touch, however, a bit aggressive
