Cafe Bienville

Now this is a great spot to get a happy hour cocktail and stay for dinner. This was our first stop for the night so we were only here for the happy hour. They had $3 cocktail happy hour specials and a good looking menu so we had to stop in. The atmosphere is lovely and the bartender knew how to serve some great drinks. I'm bookmarking this place for next time that we are in town so we book dinner reservations as all the food looked great coming out of the kitchen.

Cafe Bienville was average at best. We did Coolinary and decided to try this place out. Service: Waitress is from California and was super attentive. One of the reason it 3 stars. Beverages: We did the bottomless mimosas but quickly realized after a headache it was very cheap champagne. Food: Tomato appetizer was like spinach dip in a tomato with a fried oyster and remolaude sauce. The oyster was very good and hot upon arrival. The grits and grillade was ok but lukewarm when served at best. The chicken and waffles were the star. Shrimp and grits lacked flavor and the grits reminded me of cream of what. Crepe dessert was ok nothing to write home about. In all I would say been there done that and next.

The Resturant is attached to the hotel 'The Chateau Le Moyne' which is an excellent hotel.But the star here is the resturant and I can't thank them enough for everything. Made me feel comfortable and safe while there. Very disciplined with wearing masks. Kaitlin was a real treasure and although being new to the area offered great insight and knowledge and excellent advice on what to pick and pair it with. Kind and attentive, she stole the show. Had many excellent meals here. The brunch is a fantastic option with three courses and the bottomless drinks were perfect. I was apprehensive at first based on another review but this definitely was not the case for my colleague and I. I'd suspect like all new restaurants there may have been teething issues but again not the case now. At dinner Joshua and owner Hans were sublime. Great food, great price and excellent service. If you can handle it the signature drink is worth a shot although tread lightly it is strong.

We flew into New Orleans and have attended Coolinary month restaurants many times before. This was the only "bottomless" mimosa brunch restaurant available. I applaud them in this alone! We arrive at/we're seated at 11:30am. We placed out 3 course order about 11:45am and sat for over 55 minutes before we received our first appetizer course. The table that was sat after us received their food faster. We of course ordered bottomless mimosas for the $10, they were literally all orange juice. At least waiting 55 minutes would have been better with a buzz going on. When we finally received our food, it was luke warm, as if it had been sitting under a poor heat lamp for 30 minutes. I got the notion the food would have been great if served fresh, but that's not how we got it. Cold, Luke warm was the receipt. The "three" course came out untimely. We got a cold app, then first course and receive the dessert before we even finished our first course. Staff were very energetic and enthusiastic. Entertaining so that helped some. But we came to eat, socialize and have a good brunch with the pandemic going on. This is a newer restaurant, I hope they can adapt to the local need, expectation and culture!

We went for coolinary. Great price, great concept, poorly executed. Everything was over cooked to the point it was inedible. I only had 1-2 bites of each course. The grits and grillades was wedgie gravy add what tasted like tasso. Can't recommend. Service was slow as well.

Ate here this moring, it was great. Kaitlin was the best. Food was very good as was the price. Will go back.

We loved this place. The watermelon, blueberry, and basil martini is the best martini I have ever had! So refreshing. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was amazing. Definitely recommend!

This restaurant is open for breakfast daily and has a great selection. In addition they have a lounge which is open later in the afternoon and is opened till late evening. This restaurant is located in the Chateau LeMoyne French Quarter hotel. Definitely worth visiting!
