"Mystic Molly is fantastic! She has really done her research on the area and makes the ride appealing to history buffs and those who like a little mystery and intrigue too. The boat ride is really beautiful. I was surprised by how the sunset on the bayou was so breathtaking. We saw a lot of birds, fish and crabs! The ride the night before saw several alligators but we weren't as lucky?? The boat is a pontoon boat - flat on the bottom and has a covering for shade. Easy to get on/off. Great for all ages. Your tour incudes a drink - beer, soda or water. An hour is the perfect amont of time. Do listen to the guidance to bring a light jacket and bug spray - we didn't really need because there was a nice warm breeze but I can see how both could have been a necessity."
"FrenchmanStreet music and cocktails walking tour was fantastic, given by local musicians, and took us around to a wide range of music venues with a lot of musician insight, culture and historic info! Great time and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting insight into New Orleans music scene with a local musician as your guide"
"Book this Tour! My husband and I were accompanied by another couple so we had a most personal tour. Our guide Guy was knowledgeable, personable, organized and so well informed. Guy illustrated his talk with a variety of visuals including the people, the designs, the styles and maps. It was easy to make connections. He gave us a history of the people who occupied the French Quarter over time, the fires and flooding that jeopardized or didn't jeopardize this area and most importantly who saved it from demolition. Guy imparted his knowledge of architecture in a meaningful and understandable way as we toured the French Quarter. Our entire stay in New Orleans was enriched by this walking tour. Thank you Guy."
"What an amazing tour! We went on three tours in New Orleans and this was by far the best! Extremely informative and your shown around by a real pirate! My friend and ended up spending 4 hours with our guide and stopping at historic bars in between for the Rum shots! I highly recommend this to anyone in New Orleans!"
"Jo was an amazing tour guide. Jo was knowledgeable, funny and helpful. If you want to hear hunting stories, try new bars, and get to see around Burbon St, I highly recommend taking this tour."
"Just got back from NOLA for Memorial Day weekend and have to say this is one food tour I'm so glad I opted for. As a solo traveler I always try and anchor every trip with one, so I can sample more than I would if I were to venture out alone. After tremendous research and realizing there were SO many options to choose from but this one somehow stood out to me.I booked via Viator for the "New Orleans Food Walking Tour of the French Quarter" - $75 (18 people max); $85 for small group option (13 people max). I opted for the upgrade for a more intimate experience but I suppose larger groups/families could be fine with the standard option.Susan was our guide and truly such a delight. A true pro, but warm, friendly, engaging and personable. I can tell she ebbs and flows with the group no matter what demographic. How she does back-to-back tours with the same level of energy is truly admirable. Loved the balance of New Orleans history with taking us to some great spots - several of which were on my personal hit list, so glad we covered that ground. The tour itself covered 6 stops with a range of savory and sweet. We had 2 takeaway sweets that bookended the tour and 3 seated stops, 1 of which was in the French Market. I have admit, I found myself going back to TWO of these spots post-tour...so suffice to say this tour made an impact on me. Even better, on my last day at one of the stops, Susan spotted me and tapped me to say hello - the fact that she recognized me just goes to show how personal this tour is. Check it out!"
"Now there are a number of companies that do tours in the NOLA area, and most have a variety of looks. On the New Orleans Ghost Adventure Tours we took. we had a number of choices, but went with the adult-only cemetery tour at night. This was fun. Since NOLA has a number of its famous aboveground cemeteries, your tour may not be exactly the same. Ours visited two: the Katrina Memorial and the Odd Fellows cemeteries, both at the end of the Canal Street trolley in the Navarre district. The Katrina Memorial cemetery is really a much older facility that was pressed into extra duty with the Katrina tragedy. For example, the older parts of the cemetery have Yellow Fever stories, while the Katrina stories involve unidentified people from the hurricane. The Odd Fellows cemetery was really eye opening, as we were able to see old aboveground plots and hear the history and culture behind that experience. We also got to see inside an empty one to understand how they were built and used. This tour gives you a little of the history of burials in NOLA. Highly recommended tour, and a must do at night. Our tour guide was Scott ... get him if you can ... top drawer guy."
"This tour by far was the best tours I took while I was visiting New Orleans. We mistakenly missed or scheduled date Ashley our tour guide was kind enough to let us join the tour the following day. Upon arrival I was greeted with a very welcoming hello, Ashley took us around the French quarter where we were taken to sant Charles cathedral /Jackson Square, lalaurie mansion, Marie Laveau voodoo shop just to name a couple spots while sharing stories behind every location. We stopped at a couple of bars which was great because I never had an empty cup. The tour lasted about two hours but felt really short you know what they say, time flies when your having a good time! I definitely recommend this tour you won't be disappointed. Thank you Ashley!"
"Best tour ever. Tour guide every informative. First time in New Orleans. Recommend everyone to try it"
"I booked a walking tour of the garden district and I am happy to report that I had a fantastic time, despite the heat and the humidity. Our tour guide was very considerate and made sure we were under the shade when we stopped for a little lesson in history. Our tour guide was Harris. He was very nice and very knowledgeable about the area and about New Orleans in general. He even sent recommendations of things to do and places to eat after the tour!During the tour, we stopped by several different houses with major significance or owned by famous, rich people or a place noteworthy because they might have been film locations at one point (Benjamin Button house, for example). We also learned quite a bit about the history of the area, we were shown little remnants of the past (tiled street signs, posts for the horses/carriage, concrete steps for the ladies back in the days so their dresses do not touch the dirty ground, etc). It was a very informative tour that ended back at the meeting place, the Lafayette cemetery.Harris ended the tour with the history of the cemetery and the ways people bury the dead. Overall, it was a very enjoyable tour that I would gladly do again the next time I come to visit!"
"Probably my 8th or 9th guided tour in the city, and definitely one of my favorites. Jonathan is very knowledgeable about the history of the city and cultivates his tours to be both intriguing and informative. We had two young teenagers with us on our tour (one who was worried about the "ghost" aspect) and everyone had a great time. The magic of his stories, and his attempted accents from other local languages and dialects all add to the theatrics of the tour. The tour didn't move very far around the quarter, so it would've been good for someone who doesn't want a really mobile tour, but there were lots of stories packed into the small area we covered, and of course the typical stop at Lafitte's about halfway through for some liquid refreshment.I can't wait to sign up for a few more of his tours to see what else he has to offer."
"Not a must, but worth serious consideration. This won't make or break your trip, BUT, it was a fun activity and felt like something WE needed to do. Our tour guide was full of personality, we enjoyed him, Coby Cancienne made the experience. We hit 4 different locations and got a fun/animated story behind each. You'll see that all the tours basically hit the same spots, so truly just go with your gut on who to book with. That said, we enjoyed Coby. No regrets, it was a fun investment of our time, if you're curious and enjoy creepy stories, do it!"

Mystic Molly is so Great. A group of us went and had so much fun. From the "Gate Keeper" that greets you at the gate to "Re-Pete" a direct descendent of "Peg Leg Pete" to Mystic Molly herself. It was a great evening and everyone enjoyed themselves. We are from New Orleans and thought I knew a lot about the area, But I was so wrong. There is so much history and Molly has taken the time to put together a very informative and entertaining experience. We went on the Haunted Ghost ride but she also has a Creepy Christmas tour that we will be back for. I cannot recommend this enough if you know me, I am pretty hard on businesses, but if I recommend it, it is because I really enjoyed the experience. You will not be disappointed. It is not a ride that is full of costumes and Halloween decorations, they do have some of that, but the ride itself is very informative and lets you use your imagination as you wind your way through the spooky bayou and hear stories of the past. Listen to the souls that have passed and hear the spirits as they call to you from the shores. You know me, I met with Molly, and I was able to secure my followers the same special discount. If you mention that you are one of my followers, Molly has agreed to give you two passages on one of her tours at the normal price. Thanks, and see you on the next reviewTroy/Sandi

Having been on several ghost tours in other cities, my expectations were high, but Cassandra, our tour guide still managed to beat them! This was the best ghost tour I've been on; paced really well with probably a dozen stops at various bars and haunted spots over the course of ~2 hours. Cassandra had great knowledge of the history of the city and the paranormal. Regardless if you're a believer or not, I'd recommend booking with Cassandra as she'll tell you many stories that will raise the hair on the back of your neck, including some she's personally experienced. We booked a private tour as part of a bachelor party and all of us agreed it was a highlight. Well done!

This food tour was an absolute highlight of our trip! Susan, our guide, was amazing--she didn't just lead the tour; she brought the city's rich history and culture to life. It was fascinating to learn the origins of iconic dishes like gumbo, calas cakes, and po'boys, all while enjoying perfectly portioned tastings. Susan's storytelling made the experience truly immersive. What made Susan stand out was how much she knows about everything New Orleans. From jazz spots to local festivals, she's full of suggestions that go far beyond food. If you're looking to dive into the city's culture, this tour (and Susan's expertise) is a must. I highly recommend doing this early in your trip--you'll want to revisit the spots she introduces you to! Worth every penny!

Came to here for the first time with my family. I'm not a believer of the paranormal, but at the same time, I'm not trying to be proven wrong either lol. We just did a ghost tour because it was recommended so we did some research. There are several tours throughout the city, but we chose to do a bus tour because we've been walking all day and wanted a break. Anyways, our tour guide was Geoff and he was so pleasant. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does which made this trip so awesome. He was very funny and made the whole tour very enjoyable. We went on a bus ride to a very private cemetery and learned about certain styles of graves and the reasons why they're designed the way they are. The difference between a normal grave an above-the-ground one. The history behind certain dead individuals let alone the cemetery alone, was very fascinating. We took a little 10mins break at a nearby cafe to use to the restroom and/or get drinks before we went onto another cemetery (Katrina Memorial) that was more public. This too, had so much fascinating history. I'm not one to go "ghost hunting" for fun. My family and I made sure we were very respectful to the areas we visited especially because we don't need to be upsetting anyone or anything. Geoff provided us a EMF (think that's what it was called) device that used to detect paranormal activity. It was pretty cool, but kind of spooky lol. It was recommended to take a bazillion photos so my family and I did. I didn't sort through the photos that my family took, because I was just exhausted from the overall day and just wanted to sleep plus I alone, took over a hundred photos. I believe I did catch some sort of spirit in one of my photo which was pretty cool and spooky lol. Overall, we enjoyed this tour very much. This was specifically about these 3 grave sites and the history behind it. This is not a tour about certain haunted buildings near the Jackson Square.Geoff and our bus driver, Cory were awesome, professional, and very friendly. We stayed in a nearby hotel so we walked. We met at a little bar called Bon's to checkin. The bus we rode on has A/C and can get a little cold so I'd recommend bringing a jacket. You can leave your jacket on the bus while you're walking around the cemetery.

I booked a Drunk History Tour several weeks ago for December 4 for the two of us. As we were on our way to the meeting spot, an hour prior to the start time, I received a text that the tour had not met the minimum number of ticket sales. The tour was cancelled and I had been refunded. (I received the refund confirmation within just a few moments. The refund was incredibly prompt ) I appreciate the text and the refund, but they could have asked if we wanted to join another time slot? We were in NOLA another three days and could have rebooked easily. We were super disappointed as this was highly rated and seemed like a nice mix of history, voodoo, pirate, and ghost tour. Booking with this company is a gamble.Editing 12.25.17 - The operator is unhappy with my review and stated that she invited me to rebook. I invited her to review the text message she sent me as she cancelled and refunded in the same message and no attempt whatsoever was made to engage me in a conversation about rebooking. Her cancellation, verbatim:"Attention customers important information regarding the 2pm Drunk History Tour / Reservation. This tour will not be operating Minimum numbers apply. This tour did not meet the requirements to operate.Viator has been intructed to issue a full refund. If you have any questions regarding the refund please contact Viator customer service.Feel free to contact us if you have any issues with the refund process. We are happy to help. We have approved your refund and we will help if you need additional assistance."I do appreciate the text notifying me of the cancelation an hour before the tour was to have started and the quick refund; the best I could hope for under the circumstances, apparently.

"Our Cocktail and Ghost Crawl with John was exactly what we were hoping for and more! The story telling was top notch and kept us on our toes. The drinks were all great quality. My favorite was Julie and The Roffignac. John answered all our questions and gave us amazing recommendations! There are too many things to do in New Orleans and John helped us zero in on the tops bars and places to visit. We loved Luizza's, their BBQ shrimp was delicious!*Fun fact - BBQ in New Orleans means butter.Communication with John was a breeze, we ran late and was able to meet up with the rest the tour with ease. I highly recommend booking a tour with John! We got to know New Orleans on a deeper level because of this tour! *TIP - book a tour with him on his website instead of Airbnb! Support local business!"
"New Orleans Garden District Tour by Two Chicks Walking Tours was the last tour I did during my short stay in New Orleans.[Price]: The 2-hour scheduled tour was appromxately $32 (fees included) per person.[Parking]: I was able to find free street parking (St Andrew Street) 3 blocks away from the meeting spot (PJs Coffee House on 2140 Magazine Street.) The area is fairly safe and I was able to park for 3 hours without any issues.[Logistics]: I got a call from our tour guide Karen 4 hours before the scheduled time because of possible rain in the afternoon and she wanted to see if our party can reschedule to next day. I ended up calling office number [(504) 975-4386] 90 minutes later because Karen couldn't pick up (she was doing a tour.) I told the staff to continue with the 2 PM tour as our party has a same-day departure flight at 6:45 PM and won't be in New Orleans next day. Karen sent out a reminder text 2 hours before the scheduled tour time. Expect uneven pavement so wear comfortable shoes.[Tour]: Our guide Karen was accommodative as I told her about our 6:45 PM flight and the game plan was putting a full stop of the tour at 3:30 PM so that our party can beat 4 PM New Orleans traffic & get to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on-time. Luckily Karen was able to speed up the whole tour due to a small group and was able to complete the entire tour in record time - 85 minutes! Below are few of highlights for the tour:* Car accident: Funny how the tour started with a bang and apparently there was a car accident near the meeting spot. Involved vehicles were still at the intersection after we completed the tour and I like how the guide said it looked like a fender-bender when one of the cars was partially T-boned & police was nowhere to be seen.* 1331 First Street: House owned by Sharonda Anderson, the mother of Pelicans star Zion Williamson. It was originally built in 1869 and is considered one of the city's purest examples of Italianate architecture. * 1315 First Street: The Joseph Carroll House.* 1420 First Street: The home where NFL football stars Eli & Peyton Manning grew up.* 2340 Prytania Street: Thomas Toby-Westfeldt House.* 2406 Prytania Street: The honorary French Consulate - still owns by France government.* 2504 Prytania Street: Women's Opera Guild House.* 1448 Fourth Street: Colonel Short's Villa. Apparently the house was recently sold to a business owner who sold tons of fried chickens (unconfirmed - maybe I misheard the story.)* The Rink Shopping Center: Our group had a quick 5-minute restroom break.* Lafayette Cemetery No. 1: It is one of the oldest city governed cemeteries in New Orleans and the cemetery is currently closed for public tour.* 2707 Coliseum Street: Benjamin Button House from the 2009's film "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."* 2627 Coliseum Street: Actress Sandra Bullock's Garden District home. Apparently Google street view blurred out the house.* 2425 Coliseum Street: Actor John Goodman's Garden District home. Our party caught a glimpse of John Goodman's back and his dog as someone drove an Audi and dropped an item off.* 1410 Jackson Avenue: Our tour ended at Buckner Mansion and was featured on American Horror Story Season 3 (more commonly referred to as "Coven".) This is the mansion where Miss Robichaux's Academy was filmed. I really appreciate Karen for finishing the tour 30 minutes earlier than the originally scheduled 2-hour tour on a cold & rainy day and our party was able to get to the airport without a hitch with smooth traffic at 3:45 PM on a weekday. Overall it was a solid and informative architectural tour!"
"Via was amazing! She handled my booking for the New Orleans bar crawl with professionalism and was very knowledgeable! Thank you for your amazing customer service!"
"We had Bob as our tour guide and he was awesome! Told great stories and took us to different places that helped us to see the FQ in a new route. We take ghost tours all the time and Bob's has been the best by far."
"Our party of 4 enjoyed our recent Saturday mid-day Garden District tour with James. The combination of architecture, history, culture, folklore and humor was a great mix for our 2 hour walking trip."
"Took the Haunted French Quarter tour and it was really well done. I dislike the "and people still see lights in the windows on stormy nights" kind of ghost tour. I chose this one hoping for more facts and history and I was not disappointed. Still given in a story format that was highly entertaining."
"First off, this post is not about whether or not ghosts are real. That is up for each person to decide. I'm rating the ghost hunting for the experience of it. If you come in thinking it's bunk, it may not change your mind. With that in mind, here we go. We booked out ghost hunting experience through the NOPS website. We didn't want to just walk around and hear stories about dead people or places that supposedly haunted. We wanted to learn about the equipment and see what we could on an actual investigation, albeit a short one. If you are a fan of ghost hunting shows, think more Ghost Hunters than Ghost Adventures. We didn't go yelling at spirits, antagonizing them or anything like that. This was about learning the tools of the trade and then getting a chance to use them, and we had a blast! Our guide, Chris, was excellent. Informative, excited, knowledgeable, and fun. We got a chance to use a lot of equipment that you see on the shows, including a REM pod, MEL meters, K2 meters, thermal imaging, and an SLS camera (the one that looks like connect the dots). We had time to visit two locations with a short bathroom/drink stop in between. Both locations had a great story and we encountered "activity" at both places. Why did I use quotes? Because it's a belief thing. Do I believe that we encountered spirits? I have no reason to doubt or believe. I will say this, we had a good enough time to want to do it again the next time we are in New Orleans, and maybe even back at home. If you are looking for proof of the afterlife, this may not give you the answers you are looking for. If you are looking for a memorable experience that could give you some great stories to tell your friends, this is the tour for you. Thank you again, Chris, for an amazing time. We hope you can find out who the new entity was in the SLS picture."
"MUST DO!This is the tour company to take if you are wanting to tour the local historic cemeteries. Save Our Cemeteries is a non-profit organization that helps preserve the local cemeteries of New Orleans. They help with restoration, documentation, and educational programs. It's a win / win for everyone! It took me 30 years and way too many visits to finally take a tour of St. Louis #1. I've always been told by all the locals, "never go on your own", always "take a tour". After researching for years as well, once I found this non-profit org, I knew this was the tour I'd be taking on one of my many visits.Photos from 10/2013 tour"
"We have never been to NOLA and booked a morning tour to take us around the French Quarter after seeing all the good reviews. Our tour guide, Sean, was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and gave us a very good tour. It was just the two of us, so it was nice to have a small tour compared to the others we saw going around at the same time.My only critique, was the customer service part from our guide. Sean came walking up to us outside of Unique Nola and asked if I was Megan and said okay, we are going to start the tour. There was no - hello, how are you doing today, who do you have with you, or even I'm Sean and welcome to NO. The entire point of having a intimate tour is to get to know your customers and just overall friendliness. It was just as if it was let me get through this routine sprinkled with some awkward jokes throughout, and call it a day."
"We did the Ghosts of New Orleans tour on a VERY chilly Friday evening. We were able to book our tickets practically last minute. Despite the FREEZING cold, we had a pretty amazing time!Uma was our tour guide and she was a riot. Funny, knowledgeable, considerate, just a truly talented tour guide. I would love to have her guide me around NOLA again someday.I imagine the various ghost tours around the French Quarter are probably somewhat similar and stop at the same sites. That being said, I was very happy with our choice and had a really good experience on our tour."
"An extremely interesting look into the dark side of life in New Orleans in the late 1700s! Donovan, a trained historian and lifelong NOLA resident was an excellent tour guide. Not overly dramatic or forced, this tour focuses heavily on painting the picture of what it was like living in the epidemic period of the late 1700s and sets the stage for visitors to understand the catastrophes that could lead to a haunting present. This tour lasted about 2 hrs and involved 1.5 to 2 miles of walking. The route is a bit difficult (large potholes and broken sidewalk - typical for French Quarter NOLA), so be careful with older visitors and youngsters. This tour was definitely interesting enough that I'm interested in researching and reading more on this area and it's paranormal stories."
"This was a great way to try a staple dish at some of the hot spots in the French Quarter.I pre-ordered tickets on their web site ($48/each). The tour lasts about 2 hours, as advertised. If your experience is anything like mine, you'll stop at Antoine's for gumbo, Tujague's for turtle soup, Arnaud's for shrimp Arnaud, and Creole Delicacies for pralines. Pay particular attention to the spiel on Antoine's. This place has a lot of history. According to the staff there, it's also commonly frequented by Tom Cruise and his unnecessary posse of bodyguards due to his paranoia, as well as Branjelina, who are respectively in need of a bath and change of clothes, and some rehab.Overall, the guide (whose name escapes me) was very knowledgeable and kept our group engaged the whole time, unlike other guides who ramble on and on and put the crowd to sleep. You're not going to leave here full, but it'll help you make an informed decision of where you feel like eating, especially if you're only in town for a short time."
"We had a great tour. Jonathan was amazing! Very good for children and adults alike, humorous and informative while keeping us very entertained. I have done several tours with haunted history for a more intimate tour of the french quarter historical as well as the haunting stories we all love you can't beat Royal Walking Tours."
"My cousin and I had the pleasure of taking this tour today. Whenever I travel I love to learn about the history and culture of the place that I'm going. Well today we got just that. We learned about a small portion of NO. How/where second line originated, theater, damage before and after Katrina. Walking through the city. Seeing different murals. We went to a museum and a community event that ended in a delicious fish fry. Our guide was VERY knowledgeable and showed us different pictures/videos of the city. It was an amazing time."
"I didn't know what to expect so I kept an open mind about this tour. We were instructed to meet our guide at Voodoo Tavern and Poboys about 30 minutes before to give us plenty of time for some drinks (to have at the bar and to bring for the tour.) About 15 minutes before departure, our guide Henry walked in and intro'd himself as the man to show us around. He did a quick round and once his check list of guests completed, he brought the bus around and boarded all of us. He mentioned we were making two cemetery stops and a break in between. He's a really entertaining guy and knowledgeable guide. He made sure to point out places of interest during the drive. He gave us plenty of historical facts and made at some recommended eateries as well as famous homes while we drove by them. We learned a lot because of this tour: why some crypts have vents and others don't, the story behind one year and one day before reusing them, the phrase "saved by the bell" (Henry mentioned this phrase supposedly originated from New Orleans), money flexing even in the afterlife, how and why and how there are so many bodies buried in one crypt (hence the many names on the tombstones - one had 500+ dating back from the 1800's), etc. It really was educational and fun at the same time. It's a two hour tour and that's what we got. We were also lucky to be with a fun and interactive group. TIP: The earliest tour during the week starts at 8pm. They start at 5pm on Fridays. ANOTHER TIP: Henry highly HIGHLY recommended taking as many pictures and selfies as you can. Some might reveal surprise photo bombers! (Sadly, we weren't that lucky!) He will also suggest downloading an app (I believe it's called Ghost Hunting Tools - it's blue with a black handprint on it) that supposedly picks up spirits. (I did it just for fun! And it set off another tourist's phone, so that was interesting!) He also recommends walking out of the gate backwards to ward of possible spirits from following you home or wherever you may end up in. (Whether you believe this or not is up to you.) We had a great time. I would absolutely recommend this tour for NOLA first timers."
"My girlfriend and I were looking for a black-led, black history tour of New Orleans on our recent visit. We found Anansi's Daughters via Google and TripAdvisor. What good fortune!! Malika is an exceptional guide and a veritable fountain of knowledge about the history and culture of New Orleans. She radiates passion and joy as she shares colorful, nuanced, multi-dimensional stories drawn from her own lineage as well as her extensive scholarship about topics that span a wide spectrum that includes New Orleans Jazz, African and Black Indian peoples, Vodou, Hoodoo, Ifa, and more. We could have spent many more enthralled hours in her presence and would only have scratched the surface of what she has to share. Best part is that she never tells the history the same way twice so even if you repeat rhetoric tour, you'll learn new things and be glad you did!"
"Yes, the hype is true: Ernie is awesome!! Highly recommend for the cemetery tour. Super knowledgeable, funny, personable. One of the highlights of our trip.I arranged a tour for 12 ladies visitng New Orleans and we all loved Ernie. Truly a New Orleans treasure."
"This is such a great way to spend a morning! One of the best things to do in New Orleans, especially if you like history and walking tours. You can learn all about New Orleans on this guide NOLA tour through the French Quarter, ranging from how the Port of New Orleans shaped international culture to how Hurricane Katrina impacted the direction of the city's development. I love that this is a woman led organization striving to educate and engage people in how New Orleans lives with water- and beyond gaining insights to the rich history and culture, we stopped at fun watering holes too!"
"Like many who visit New Orleans, I fell in love fast and hard with this city. There are both too many words and not enough words to say about it, so I'll cut to the chase and just say that I happened upon this tour serendipitously and to this day it was one of my favorite NOLA experiences. I met my tour guide Jeannie while she was preparing to give a tour in the French Quarter and we struck up a long conversation, and she was such a delight to talk with that I decided to take part in her walking tour. Jeannie has a passion for this city, it shows in her smile, her resilient spirit, her incredible brain that seems to soak up and rattle off information with encyclopedic breadth while conveying it all an easy, conversational tone. She's warm and friendly, and I continue to refer friends who visit to her tour company. There are many tours being offered in the area, but Jeannie will really send you away feeling like you have a piece of the city to take home with you :)"
"First time doing a ghost tour. Yvette is the reason for the stars. The context for each stop mixed in with dark humor was amazing. If you book the tour, ask to be with Yvette! She will make it worth it."
"I had contacted Greenwood Gator Farms about a tour through their website on June 30, 2023. On July 1, I received a reply from a Tim Domangue that they had a tour at 10:30a that morning. When I replied that I did not see the email until later on that day and asked if they were doing tours every Saturday at 10:30a I got no reply. So I came out July 15th and arrived before 10:30a and they were not doing a full tour again until 1:30p. Well, there is not much in the immediate area so I sat and thought about it. The gal I spoke to in person seemed torn between wanting to do a tour just for me then or have me wait. She had just finished a tour of boy scouts and I can only imagine she was tired already. She offered me to pay half the price and just go back and look at the animals they have in cages in back and I agreed. I paid and bought some food as well. It was pretty cool and I got some pictures of the animals. I was trying to stretch out my time in the area until the next tour, but I couldn't. Friendly employees. Only four stars because of the lack of response to my email."
"We booked the new small group paranormal experience tour. It was absolutely one of the most unique ghost/ paranormal tours I've done. This is a small group experience, which is why I wanted to do this one. We met at the Tableau Restaurant and were offered the choice of an aperol spritz or a French 75. We chose the spritz. We were told some history and ghost lore before going up to the wine room for some more stories. Very cool. They showed us video of a ghostly incident that had occurred there before. Next we walked down the street where we were told about the haunting at Muriel's Restaurant, where they also set a ghost table. Our last stop was at a psychic shop where we did a tarot card reading and we're given a Pan Am cocktail. I highly recommend this tour. It's unique and you get a little bit of all the good things you come to New Orleans for."
"We did the historical walking tour of the French Quarter. Because it might have rained today, we were the only ones on the tour. The guide was a very knowledgeable and nice guy.We learned a great deal about the history of New Orleans in general, and the French Quarter in specific. It started in Jackson Square and ended near Congo Park. From the strategic blunders of the British in the War of 1812, to the two oldest buildings in the area (one a convent, the other Pirate Jean Lafitte's blacksmith shop), through the heart of this year's Decadence Festival, it was an amazing learning experience."
