"Came here to catch happy hour (ends at 6)Got a lemon drop martini for $6. IIt was really good! For happy hour, rolls under 10$ are 25% off so I was able to grab a crunchy roll (tempura shrimp) and a rajun Cajun (friend alligator) plus the drink for under $20. Can't beat that!Next time I would ask for the rajun Cajun without the sauce as imo the sauce was too sweet and didn't go well with the fried alligator. Other than that everything was great and I'll definitely be back!"
"I had a great lunch at Umami while visiting Baton Rouge. The restaurant has a casual ambiance with flavorful sushi for everyone, whether you are beginner or a sushi connoisseur. There is ample parking right in front of the restaurant but I could see it filling up at peak times, there are a lot of businesses in the surrounding area. We ordered a sample of a few different items so I could try to capture the full experience at once. I had the Rock & Roll and the Sexiest Woman Alive, both were really good. I prefer traditional rolls as I am a beginner for sushi, so I really liked the Rock & Roll. Both rolls had stellar individual ingredients and the overall flavor profile was made up of a small part of each. The restaurant is fairly small so I would visit with small groups, maybe 4-6 people at max. They can probably move a couple of tables to accommodate but I wouldn't bring a group of 10 here. It's a good size for lunch or an early dinner. The employees are nice and attentive, and they even help you decide on an order based on your tastes. I will definitely be back to visit!"

"I done here probably 2 times a month as it's walking distance from my job. It's such a delightful spot with all the charming Japanese vibes! Everything was on point, and the service is great !"
"I was brought to Royal Sushi by a friend a few months ago and it quickly became one of my favorite sushi spots in the city. The service is always super friendly and attentive. The restaurant is always clean. The Sex and City is my go to roll with a few changes.. I sub the mango for cucumbers and I get soy paper instead of seaweed. The sushi just melts in your mouth and the flavor is so fresh. I recently tried their pork gyoza and spicy shrimp dumplings and I now have another thing to obsess over on the menu!!I am very picky when it comes to sushi restaurants, and royal sushi far exceeds my expectations."
"It's a nice cozy place for dinner, with good food and drinks option. The service was quick and efficient and our server was very kind and attentive. We had the lychee sake and plum sake bottles, and lychee came out on top taste and flavor wise. The appetizers were nice and on point. We tried egg rolls, seafood rolls, j-pop.The fried rice was well made and spicy per request.Overall a good place for a relaxed dinner"
"I never got the opportunity to eat here, but I must give a shout out to the manager, Ashley, for her valiant effort. We needed a reservation for our team at a place that opened past 10pm. I found them through Google and b/c of their rating, I called for a reservation for our large group. Ashley gave me her number so that I could keep her updated with our count & timing, as we waited for our games to finish. Unfortunately by the time we got to the place, our table wasn't ready. As we waited, our party count started dwindling. I told Ashley that we couldn't wait any longer. She was very apologetic and offered a free drink to go.The place had loud music and seemed like a fun spot. The menu looked very promising. It is an ideal place for adults only, to hangout and have a celebration. If I visit NOLA again without kids, I would definitely check it out."
"Wowwww.... I haven't been here in years, but my late lunch date with my mom yesterday, proved why they have been open for years! Of course you need a reservation for hibach, which we had and we were seated almost immediately after arriving. Our waiter was pleasant and took our drink and food orders. You can order other things outside of hibachi, but just remember you get to order a salad or soup with your hibachi order. We decided to order the Shrimp Tempura roll as a appetizer. For our drinks, my mom had the Margarita and I had the Sour Apple Martini! My only complaint would be that my Sour Apple Martini didn't have a cherry, which is most of the reason I order this drink. The waiter kindly came back with a small plate of cherries, per my request. Unfortunately, they were weirdly shaped and didn't taste all that great (she did let me know this is why one wasn't placed in my drink)! Other than this small detail, the drinks and appetizer was great. Now on to the HIBACHI!!! Our chef was so good!!! We had a small party around the grill, so it was very personal which we enjoyed! The initial lighting of the grill got us so excited! The level of skill and entertainment was top tier! I have no idea how the chef can cook, entertain, and talk at the same time. The food that came off the grill was seasoned, flavorful, and just absolutely delicious!!! We ordered the Miso soup (delicious), the Steak and Shrimp hibachi (hurt yesterday good)! I mean I have no idea why I haven't had hibachi more often than your standard Chinese food! We stuffed ourselves while thoroughly enjoying our chef! Now the food was so good that we had to order food to go! And I had another martini! Needless to say, we could have been rolled out of there we were so stuffed! Highly recommend this place! We will be back ASAP!!"
"Great place with delicious sushi. As others have noted, there's a free little cucumber vinegar salad to start and pineapple triangles at the end. Service was very nice. Ample parking. I ordered a tuna appetizer as my entree and will say I expected more for $34. Overall I would return and order rolls instead."
"Since I was last at Sake, a few things have changed. The service was great, food still tasty, but the overall cleanliness is lackluster. I moved tables thinking that the huge stained white linen on the table was just at that table but nope, it's on all of them. I guess the restaurant doesn't deem them trash worthy. The beverage glasses seem smaller with ice filled to the rim. I would suggest renovating the restroom; the leaky faucet with a wash rag to collect run over water is a no no for the caliber this restaurant use to be. They get a pass because I'm sure the pandemic has a lot to do with the current conditions. The Sake parking lot is now public parking but Sake customers are comped."
"I am updating my review for the sole reason of bumping 1 star for loss of value by removing the lunch price from being available at all on Saturdays. This happened some time back and I have not returned since. It became not worth the visit for me anymore when the price rose 20 for the lunch overnight. The parking lot is not very big and several spaces are compact only. So be mindful of parking. The staff helped quick to seat us and was nice. There was obvious language barriers, but that did not bother me. There is only two real options--sushi buffet (order at the table style) and hibachi. We did the sushi buffet. We also did the lunch (16 per plate plus 18% is added to the check/ 35 dollar ticket for two with water). There are paper menus on which you can mark your orders and laminated menus that help as a key to identify what's in the individual rolls that you order. There's also nigiri (a cut of sashimi on a bed of rice). I stuck mostly to the finger rolls and had one specialty roll. I preferred just eating the fish and rice without the drizzled sauce so I would probably only get the nigiri next time. If you like nigiri, the price is great for what you get because you can add soup, salad, ice-cream, and/or noodle entre items. The area was spacious and had a fish tank and nice aethetic. The fish was fresh, and i even saw them carrying 2 uncut fish fillets that were to be sized down to pieces that would be put in the sushi fridge at the bar. I would say that the bathroom needs some love. Some spray needs to be put in there or something. Both the male and female sides stunk bad and could be smelled from outside the door. The look of the restroom was not bad (same color tile on floor and wall and clean). This sushi buffet was a nice change from the way I usually experience sushi. You can't leave hungry (or it's your fault), and the quality does not significantly suffer because of the price. Come hungry and try the nigiri."
"I ordered the Gyoza (5 pieces) as a side through Uber Eats, and they were fantastic! The potstickers had a subtle hint of ginger, which added a nice depth to the flavor. They were perfectly pan-fried--lightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a deliciously savory filling. I'd definitely order them again!"
"I've booked a private room for karaoke twice with a large group of friends. This is the only place left on the East Bank of NO with private karaoke rooms. You use your phone to project onto the tv, and Poseidon provides the sound system and microphones. A server checks on the group often, bringing food and drinks in as you order them. The food comes in large portions and is good, but could be better. Mostly we just go here for the karaoke! Be careful with your bill! It's $25 per person for every 2 hours of karaoke. If people order more food and drink than $25, you will be very surprised by the bill at the end!! It's also a good idea to keep track of your time. If you go over the 2 hours, it will roll into another 2. We usually plan on going for 4 hours and set an alarm, because they won't alert you when the time rolls into the next payment."

Food was amazing !!.... Sushi was fresh and our server Savon was the man. Really helpful with explaining the difference in the Sakes and sushi rolls. Perfect spot to go to after work in the CBD.

A little sad it took me so long to finally make the trek out to LSU to Umami Sushi on Burbank. There are plenty of very good sushi places in the area that have done a great job with the standard "creative" rolls, but Umami's specialty roll menu puts them all to shame. Don't get me wrong, we will still frequent geisha, uchi, etc., but when I want some more creativity and depth, we will bite the bullet and head over to campus. We started out with the Toro belly/truffle appetizer and I accidentally ordered hamachi kama thinking I was ordering the Hamachi Crudo. Boy I'm happy I made that mistake. The yellowtail collar was perfectly broiled and very flavorful. The Toro belly was outstanding as well. The richness of the truffle and the delicateness of the tuna paired wonderfully. For mains, we moved on to the Akami Rouge and Sexiest Woman Alive rolls, both of which were outstanding. The table next to us had Ramen that looked wonderful. We plan to make another trip for soup and yet another for some of the land based animal dishes.

My family and I came here three times during our trip due to how close it was to our hotel and the fact that it was open during a major holiday. In terms of reliability and consistency, Geisha Sushi Bistro definitely did really well. Their menu is pretty diverse, but they excelled in pretty much every part of their menu from the hot dishes to the raw ones as well. The service was pretty good. We had three different servers every time and they were pretty friendly and polite every single time. The food came out at varying speeds each time, but we weren't waiting for too long for any one visit. There was a time they seemed to forget one of the handrolls we ordered, but they were pretty quick about remedying that. One server was even kind enough to tell us that the soy sauce on the table wasn't low-sodium and offered to get us a different bottle. We didn't ask, but the fact that it was unprompted was super nice. The food quality was pretty decent. The fish was a little pricier than I would expect for the quality we got, but it was tasty and each roll was well-made nonetheless. Their calamari is super unique in shape I think as I've never had it in long, thick strands like how they serve. The hamachi appetizer honestly wasn't worth the wait in my opinion, but everything else (udon, sushi entrees, rice plates) were all very delicious and large in portion. Overall, I'd recommend this as a spot if you're craving decent sushi or overall Japanese food and would like attentive, kind service as well. The price was a little high, but given it seems to be the only sushi place in the immediate proximity, it was a great place to frequent and try several times throughout our trip!

Just went there and sat at the bar. Bobby was great and very knowledgeable. The spicy ramen was the best I've ever had. This is one of my regular sushi stops but try the ramen. One of my favorite spots.

Amazing restaurant, and they're open until midnight! It's a huge building but still feel intimate and comfortable. Great prices especially for what you get! I ate too fast so I got pictures of nothing! but! So good! Definitely my new go to for New Orleans. Can't go wrong, there's ample parking around the block as well which makes a huge difference! The service is awesome as well, everyone I talked to was nice, helpful and friendly. My server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, which helps me because I never understand what it's saying lol

I looooove Rock-n-Saké! It had been a while since my last visit but I now stay in the downtown area and was in the sushi/sake combo mood so I went on a Friday night and sat at the bar. I forgot the bartender's name, and I don't wanna say the wrong one so forgive me, but she was really nice! I went twice in one week and she tend to me both times, so maybe she's the main bartender. Anyway, love her vibe. Another girl assisted me the second time and she was also really sweet. I was recommended the tuna nachos along with some other sushi rolls I forgot the name of. All were so good! I had some hot sake to go along with it. A VIBE! Per usual

Came here for a work lunch and the staff wasn't nice and the resturant wasn't clean. The hostesses looked at us like we were crazy when we told them our party and wouldn't let us sit until the exact time... no one was in the restaurant and we had a pretty big party. We all sat at the hibachi tables and that was pretty cool. I love a hibachi grill and getting to watch the chef make your meal. The chef was nice and entertaining. I got the chicken and that comes with rice and vegetables and then either a choice of a side salad of soup, and I got the salad. My fork was dirty and the plates were all chipped up. I just feel when you come to hibachi you want it to be nice, and I didn't feel like the staff or the ambiance were on point. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. I wouldn't come back, but it was a good way to switch up lunch.

Best sushi rolls and the most authentic Japanese food in the area. Service is always great. I think the rainbow roll is my favorite.

"The service was good, fast, and the atmosphere was fantastic. After being in loud and hot restaurants, this one was refreshingly quiet and cool. The fish all tasted very fresh, I had both salmon and tuna sushi. The cucumber I got on the first veggie roll I had was bitter, but they checked their supply, cut a fresh cucumber, and remade it no problem. You can see them as they make the food. The thai tea was so delicious and had that lovely warm spice flavor, it was perfect for the hot day. It is in a perfect location within walking distance to many downtown hotels and I would recommend it for a quick lunch or drink."
"Went back to Geisha on a Friday night this time and we were sat right away - I love that about this place. We ordered the shrimp dumplings again and they were delicious. He had the sunset roll and hot sake and enjoyed both. The tuna was super fresh! I had the Marilyn Monroll again and it's my GO TO. Try it with some spicy mayo on the side. Still my favorite sushi in BR."
"Haven't been in years and still one of the best spots in Nola for sushi. Brees roll Fuji 1or 2 and shrimp fried rice can't go wrong. Everything was amazing"
"The smell of Glade Plug-Ins was nauseating & ruined the meal. Pls address the root of the smell instead of trying to cover it up."
"Love Little Tokyo. You just can't go wrong. There larger rolls seem larger than any other sushi restaurant. The service was great. They were crowded but we got our food pretty quickly. The restaurant is beautiful and has plenty of parking and seating."
"We tried Thai Kitchen for the first time last night, and we really enjoyed it! We each started with a summer roll, and it was nicely done with fresh veggies. My wife had the peanut chicken dish, and I had the shrimp cashew nut dinner. We enjoyed our respective dishes, which were properly seasoned and full of fresh veggies. Service was prompt and police, and the ambiance was delightfully local. We'll be back!"
"Beautifully prepared foods! Very friendly personal service. Hot hand towel before meals. Plenty of items on the menu.Stir fry was very good. Sushi was excellent. Table of 6 and all were pleased ."
"If you LOVE Sushi, it's worth it if you get the all you can eat sushi special. Crawfish roll was really good"
"I really enjoyed Chengs! I get why everyone comes here and recommends it on Yelp. I had the ants climbing trees and pork dumplings. Both meals were delicious and I had leftovers. The venue is serene and really updated. I've never been in the building before but I felt very impressed with the service and ambiance. Only issue is the price--def on the expensive side of eating! While I'd have to have it as a treat I believe I'll be coming back."
"Updating my review to post the newly updated menus and reflect on my dining experience. I knew that Umi was a solid sushi spot, but after dining in today, I have to bump up my review from 4 to 5 stars. Everything was super fresh, delicious and the presentation was beautiful. My server was also very attentive and nice. I will absolutely be dining in more often."
"We love this owner and operated business! Long is very good with his prices never he never likes to see a person wait and if you do, you're definitely gonna be offered a drink of! He has a combination of sushi for the menu goes on and on!thank you for you Kindness Long, Vinnie's Pharmacy"
"Uchi Sushi remains my favorite sushi restaurant. I've tried others but I always find myself back at Uchi time and time again. Johnny has made Uchi special and the food remains absolutely fantastic. Anytime I'm craving sushi I only want to eat here. I have a few favorite rolls, but honestly, you cannot go wrong with any roll or dish you order. A few of my go-to rolls are the Six Brothers Roll, the Utah Roll, the Cucumber Sashimi Roll, and any of the Sashimi choices. The restaurant is open for lunch every day and open late. If you go during peak hours it can be a little difficult to park, but please don't let that dissuade you from going. The food is worth the wait for a parking spot!"
"I come here very often bc it's close to home and my dude really enjoys it. It has slowly become one of my fav sushi places in the Westbank. The rolls here are basic, but they do it well. The fish is always fresh and I've never had a bad experience. I usually dine in for lunch and it comes with complimentary noodle salad. Some of the rolls I always order that never disappoint are: Red dragon roll - Crunchy roll with tuna, BBQ eel, and avocado on top. Tiger roll - California roll with BBQ eel and salmon on top. Tornado roll - this comes tempura fried, but since we don't really enjoy fried rolls, we always ask for it not to be fried and they always accommodate to our needs. Zen tempura - shrimp tempura with spicy tuna and cream cheese. Tiger eyes - my bf really enjoys this, but it's a very big roll and instead of being wrapped with rice and seaweed, it's wrapped in cuttlefish. It's a very different roll and a little heavy for me. I always get all my rolls light rice bc if not, it's very thick and filling! And get their sauces on the side or else your rolls will be drowning in it!"
"I had takeout so I can speak about the restaurant or service, but I had fried rice with extra egg. Dammit it was DELICIOUS! and the best part was it tasted great the next day. This willl probably be my go to for takeout. Cheap, delicious, and quick!!!!"
"They just opened and they are fantastic. well worth trying. I highly recommend them. They are still working the kinks out but a very good Sushi/Hibachi bar. We will be back. Stop by and Welcome them to the neighborhood."
"Ikura hibachi and sushi for the win. I went in for a friend's birthday party. They all decide to have hibachi. The chef put on a gray show all fresh foods and seasoned very well. I definitely enjoyed it. The ambiance is perfect for the setting. The service was great. They were very attentive and always asking what you needed or if you need anything and quick with the refills. Outside of hibachi since it was chilly out I decided to go with theTonkotsu Ramen Served with chashu pork, boiled egg, green onion, spinach, bean sprouts, nori seaweed, kikurage, garlic, fried onion, and ra-yu. This is the perfect meal for a cold day. Trust me it was flavored just right. Had the perfect amount of protein and warmed me right up. The show with the hibachi going on chicken steak and shrimp was outstanding. I was great. Just watching and the proteins that I sampled were delicious. This is definitely a great spot for groups and for those wanting a little entertainment while they eat. I'll definitely check them out again"
"Food 7/10Service 7/10Ambiance 6/10 Waste of time basically but mom and pops are struggling as less and less can afford this offering .The yellowtail sashimi was excellent 10/10 ."
"Came her after work with a co-worker and cannot wait to return again after realizing the location change. We ordered two clear soups, mine with extra toppings and two rolls. I can only recall adding asparagus to mine for added crunch and that the role, chic atmosphere and the server was amazing! Everything was FRESH! I encourage everyone to take a visit and also comment if you find the roles I took photos of."
"Absolutely the very most bang for your hard earned buck! Includes appetizers and desserts and all the sushi and sashimi you'd like! You don't have to order all at once either - what I like to do is order the clear or Miso soup, some gyoza, maybe a shrimp tempura and edamame. Then I get some sashimi and another order sheet. Dessert is fabulous and I always have room for the fried bananas! I'd give it 6 stars if I could."
"After a long day of shopping, I wanted sushi, my friend wanted Chinese. Going back and forth we then decided on this place. Japanese, Chinese, and Thai food all in one place! Doesn't look like much when you reach the parking lot but inside is so nice and clean. We were seated right away. Everything we ordered were so basic but full of flavors! We love flavorful food! Presentations were on point too! Check the photos!"
"My daughter and I like to go to Tokyo Cafe for hibachi since it's close to our house. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and I really appreciated that she would make conversation with my daughter as well as with me. Our hibachi chef was great and interacted with us the entire time he cooked. The food was delicious! The salmon was so tender. My daughter got the fried rice, and we didn't realize that she would also get noodles too. The portions were enough for both of us to have leftovers, definitely worth the price. Maybe next time I'll branch out and add some sushi as well, but the hibachi is so good that it's hard to branch out."
"We were craving sushi for lunch and decided to give Drunken Fish a try! It is right by campus, so it was close, and there was no wait when we went around 12.The waitress was amazing. There are lunch specials, but we didn't know that only 4 pieces of sushi came with the lunch special. The lunch special was sushi with soup or salad and it was $13. We both decided on something else since we wanted more than 4 pieces of sushi. I got the margarita roll with a salad and my friend got the bento box. My roll was amazing and had 8 pieces... I ate the entire roll and was pretty full after. My salad was soaked in dressing, so it was eh ok. My friend asked for more dressing and there is a .50 cent upcharge! His bento box looked good, but it was a bunch of raw fish on there so that's not my cup of tea. My one roll was $18 for lunch, which I thought was expensive. The food was god, service was great, and food came out fast."
