Lemme tell you- when I first drove in I thought I was about to go missing. It looked a little sketchy from the outside, mainly because there are cars randomly parked everywhere. Once I got in and found where I had to go, the man working helped me with my brake tag. The process was easy and painless and I got my two year tag for $20 and I paid with my card.The man was so nice that I'll recommend this spot for anyone that might need any kind of car work done. "This is the best place in Slidell for an automatic car wash. Period. End of story.Their basic wash is $3 and let me tell you, after a week of working in a construction environment, my car is covered in dust, concrete, dirt and birdshit. $3 and 5 minutes later, my car comes out of this wash looking like it just rolled off the used car lot! Every now and then, there's a mess up, but that's to be expected. Go tell someone and they'll reset it or whatever and send you right back thru. No problem.Every few weeks, I get the more expensive washes to help keep the car clean and that's all you need. I don't handwash my primary vehicle anymore because there's no need. There's no need to dry it either, because the filtered rinse combined with the blowers will do the job.I have only ONE complaint.... There isn't much in the way of getting the REAR of your vehicle spic'n'span, so your license plate will need a bit of handwashing if it's recessed into your bumper, but.. .that's trivial. Aint worth degrading a review or the supremacy of this carwash over all others."

"Excellent experience and very professional staff. Went in because the car tire low pressure monitor was going off every few days for the past week and a half. I had already examined the tire myself and didn't see any punctures in it. No nails, or anything, but it was still slowly losing pressure. I explained this to the gentleman who helped me. He took the tire off the car and fully checked it out, without detecting any leaks. He then called the manager/owner over and ask him to look at it. He spent 5-7 minutes going over it in close detail and then found the issue. The tire had more gap on one side than the other and was beginning to display a very small bulge. He explained that it was just starting to become an issue and was still very small - which is why the pressure loss was also very slow. Unfortunately the only real solution was a replacement. He was able to get me an excellent price on a new tire and had it for me the same day (this was a specialty size, high performance run-flat tire that needed to be ordered). They put the original tire back on and filled it, so I could go on with my day. About 4 hours later he called me to let me know my new tire was already there. I drive over and 15 minutes later left with a new tire. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. Excellent service, very professional and knowledgeable staff, then same day replacement at a very competitive price (cheaper than if I had ordered online and had installed locally). I will definitely use this shop again!"

"On the recommendation of a fellow Yelper. My Saturn Vue needed some serious attention. I've loved her terrible and have always tried to get her the best service. I called and spoke to Lee, the assistant manager and he indicated that I could come at anytime before 6 and if not, park her in the lot and drop keys in the door. Groovy. I arrived right around 6 and Lee was actually leaving. But guess what? He helped me out. Explained a diagnosis would be 100$ or applied to the repair of the car. Fair enough. They would check her out on Monday. Cool.What I didn't tell Lee was that I have one of those engine light scanner deals. Let's see if they're straight with me.Promptly on Monday morning at about 9am, I received a call. Lee basically repeated everything I had already scanned and gave a detailed breakdown and cost per line item. Wow. He even explained what each thing was when I inquired. Double wow! 1600$ hmmm okay let me think on it. And then I call him back because brother in law said it was leaking oil too and what about hoses? I hang my head in sadness, Lee reluctantly tells me that a seal is worn and the hoses are indeed spongy. Dang I knew the part about the hoses too. 2700$The Pirate and I round tabled all options. From the outside she looked great! Some just age well with care. I knew the truth, time to call Bridge House. Since they couldn't get her until Friday, the Pirate called and asked if it would be okay to leave her there until they could pick her up. I went by the day before and paid Lee the 100$ (plus tax)and thanked him for their services. On Friday I met the man from Bridge House in their side lot so I could donate her. She hauled many an oyster from da bayou to businesses in New Orleans, multiple trips over her favorite bridge (the Luling bridge), a zillion trips to the airport, road trips with my dear Mother and even saved a man's life from a refinery explosion. She was tired. When we left, the Pirate said "damn! If we ever need anything on our cars, we're coming here" I agree, Honesty is the best policy and it's their policy!"

"Cottman comes through again!! Had some car trouble over the weekend that led me to autozone for a new batttery. It had been about 7 years since the last one and the ice cream scoop sized dome of blue corrosion meant it was finally time. However, during the install, the young, inexperienced tech broke a grounding wire resulting in my car to be stranded in the parking lot until Monday. After towing to Cottman and thinking I needed a new starter, turned out it was JUST that skinny wire that they were able to strip/strengthen and clamp so that the car would actually start! I had my vehicle back in under three hours and was able to drive myself to work! These guys are GREAT GUYS. They were honest and didn't take advantage of me which I couldn't appreciate more!! Next time I have any issue, I'm going straight there and you should too."

"If you are looking for an auto repair shop and see this review, STOP LOOKING FOR A NEW PLACE AND GO HERE. I promise, this place is WONDERFUL! They have always fit me in no matter what (even if I don't have an appointment and just walk in) and they DON'T overcharge me ever. I had problems while driving across the Causeway yesterday and had to be escorted off the bridge and Twin Tire got me in and checked out my "check engine" light and made sure everything was working properly and nothing was loose and hoses were tightened and there was air in my tires and they replaced my engine air filter. He even flushed my gas tank to see if that caused the warning on the Causeway and guess how much they charged me?! THE COST OF THE ENGINE FILTER. That's IT! (which isn't expensive at all if you're wondering).They even recommended some minor repairs and gave me quotes before I asked for them because they are honest and upfront and not trying to highway rob you like every other mechanics I've been to (looking specifically at you Don Bohn and Veterans Ford). With the Ford dealerships and other places I've gone in with coupons saying, "pay x amount," and yes I know I take 0.3 more quarts of oil than what the coupons covered, but I always end up paying $20-$30 more than previously agreed upon. So for oil change, regularly scheduled maintenance, and repairs, seriously come support these guys, Dennis and Richie (might be Rich) are awesome, kind, and courteous, and they also don't treat you like you're stupid and try to jip you because you're a female. They have a loyalty rewards card program (sign up, it's free, but make sure to activate card within 30 days or lose those initial 200 sign up points like I did :( ) and the rewards can be gift cards to Twin Tire or donations to local charities and hospitals like Cafe Hope!!!!Also, free WiFi and they're always playing the food network or travel channel, so it's not a boring wait!"

5-Minute Oil Change

"I know we've all hear some of the horror stories surrounding "quick service" oil change businesses, but 5-Minute Oil Change will allay all of your fears. I like to consider myself somewhat mechanically inclined, and I changed my oil on all my past vehicles and motorcycles. But "life" happens and like many, I get busier and busier and time is always of the essence.That's where 5 Minute Oil change can help. I pulled in today around 8:20 AM and was guided in by technician Kevin. If you've never been to 5-Minute Oil Change, be advised that there are 3 service bays, and each one of them has an underground pit for the technicians to easily gain access to the underside of your car in order to change your oil. Therefore, they guide you in so you don't drive into the pit; which would be rather difficult. It almost reminds me of an airport ground guide giving hand signals to the Captain as he guides his plane into the terminal. But I digress.Kevin asked what type of service I needed. "Just an oil change" I replied. What's cool about this place is that you do not even have to get out of your vehicle while they service it. I was offered a fountain drink, but replied no and opted to surf the net on my phone. My door jam bar code was scanned and all my vehicle's information popped up on the computer screen since I had been here before. (Not in my Mustang though).The technician (Kevin) changed my oil and filter, checked and adjusted the air in the tires, added some windshield washer fluid and performed a check of an additional 11 items for a total of 15 items checked and/or serviced. Not once did he recommend any type of "far fetched" services such as needing a new "flux capacitor". He was straightforward and honest and told me that everything looked good under the hood. The entire process was blazingly fast. If you want the absolute cheapest oil change around, go somewhere else where you may wait up to 2 hours to get your oil changed. But if you want it done right and done quickly, then you won't even blink an eye at the $35.99 price for a 5-quart conventional Castrol GTX oil & filter change."
