"Always love the food at this truck. They have one on Read and one on Chef. Which this area desperately needs. Wish they parked one where I live..."
"The Pink Agave, 4001 Nicholson Dr, Baton Rouge. We usually do not go to a newly opened restaurant until they have worked out the kinks and it has several reviews on Yelp. We went Saturday, which was Day 2 after their opening and we were pleasantly surprised. We will be going back. My only complaint is that chips and salsa are not complimentary. Oh, they pour their drinks strong, so you may need a designated driver."

"Absolutely love this place the food is always great and everyone who works there is super nice! My family goes every Friday to eat here. Also the salsa is great!"
"Had a nice experience at Chivo's in Mandeville with a party of six for lunch on a busy Saturday. Excellent service and good chips with passable salsa and a complimentary bean dip. Wife had street tacos, which she said were very good. I had the Rosarito Grand combination plate which although generously portioned was somewhat bland. Nice bar area with multiple TVs; dining room was comfortable but with a definite strip mall ambiance. All in all a nice experience and a good place for lunch or to take in a ball game."
"This is unexpectedly some of the best Mexican food I've had in the Baton Rouge area. We were hungry and it wasn't far from where we were so we gave it a try. The inside was very clean, you can see to the back in the kitchen area and that was also very tidy. All of the food had very good flavor. Everything tasted fresh and seemed to be prepared with a lot of care. The service was amazing. We also ordered a kids cheeseburger with fries and some wings that aren't pictured. Both of those were cooked well and tasted good too. I will be going here when I want some Mexican food to-go now."
"My number one recommendation for anyone in Houma is to try this place. It is very appealing from the outside since it looks a little run down and can smell residual stench from the garage nearby. Indoor seating is also in need of work. They have a variety of hot sauces at each table and a nice sized menu that is very fairly priced. They have yummy tacos and burritos (with everything add sour cream cheese and both chicken and steak). They also have an item similar to a quesadilla that you should get with beans (pupusa). Employees don't speak much English if any at all. One is the few places I wish I could bring back home. Definitely a go-to spot if you're a local."
"After a morning of touring different places, I was getting hangry. This was across the street from the last place I visited, so it was an easy decision to make. Plenty of parking, seated just after coming in. Food came out quickly, fresh and hot. Tea was perfectly sweetened. No complaints. Everything was clean and nicely decorated."
"We are still regular visitors and still love this place. The service has always been great and still is. Manager Eric is cheerful and attentive and all the servers are friendly and helpful. We ate there again today with family members who are here as Hurricane Martin bears down on their home in Florida. I got the Burrito Supreme, with rice and beans. Simply amazing, and I took half home for lunch the next day."
"Velvet Cactus is the most unique Mexican gem in the city! The ambiance of this place is unbeatable, with excellent indoor and outdoor seating. A great place to dress up for a girls night, or dress down for a casual dinner. Especially during the Christmas season, they offer bubble tents and transform the place into a winter wonderland. Everything I have tried here has been great! But my all time favorites are the salsa and the cheese grits. I crave both of them! I recommend getting the taco plates. They are super yummy with a better portion. Most of the plates they offer are big portions so I normally have a lot to take home. They also have yummy margaritas with a great happy hour! The service is great too with very nice and thoughtful servers. Our server came to check on us and refilled anything we needed. Love love love!!"
"Great little burrito restaurant in Gauiter. The food is always fresh and hot. The service is good, I have never eaten in the restaurant always Togo. I just wish this location would stay open a little longer. I always order a steak burrito or steak bowl with extra meat of course! Nice little gem!"
"Great location that is family owned and they support the police and first responders. Good food and great atmosphere. You can sit at the bar and enjoy a large selection of high-end bourbons/whiskeys or an assortment of margarita flavors. We will be back!"
"They have some really great dishes on the menu if you look past the usual items wrapped in tortillas. Their Caldo de Res (beef soup) is really great and a huge serving. The Molajete fajita bowl is also another huge serving and it comes sizzling and bubbling hot in an actual volcanic rock bowl which keeps it piping hot and makes for a really nice eating experience. They do have some drink specials here but you do have to monitor the drink strength as it varies depending on who is making them and sometimes they can be on the weak side. I sampled their gigantic huge super sized margarita which is larger than my head but I found it to be EXTREMELY weak so make sure to let your server know if you got "unlucky" in the booze department. Easy to locate as the food truck was right in the parking lot. They had no hours posted but I went with Yelp's hours. The woman who took my order and made my food was so friendly. She was hard working on the people ahead of me but she made sure she made my order right. She asked if I wanted everything with it; onions and cilantro. I said yes. It only took 5 minutes to get my order. It was hot. Cheese melting hot. The two sauces she gave me was excellent. I took the green sauce and my husband devoured the red one. His spice tolerance is really high and he enjoyed it. It was flavorful. I took off a star because the meat was on the saltier side. Otherwise, the spices of the meat was nice. Much better than any brick or mortar establishment back in Wisconsin.

This place is definitely a girls night place. We went here for my birthday dinner with friends and got sooo many good pictures. I got a chimi and my husband got the quesabirria both were pretty good. We got a few drinks and those were pretty good too. But you can't beat the atmosphere and picture backgrounds.

We went here on Taco Tuesday for dinner. We had shrimp, steak, grilled chicken & ribeye tacos. We also started with chicken tortilla soup. It wasn't warm but our waitress was super nice and heated it up. It was filled with chicken. Dinner was very good.

Great little place ! Offerings of street food and authentic Spanish cuisine. The ladies are super timid due to language barriers but make up for this ten fold in enthusiasm to serve you. I have eaten here on many occasions and was introduced to Magnolia (even though in my own community) by some of my Spanish co workers coming in from Texas, Puerto Rico, Guadalajara as their favorite home type foods.. wish them well and maybe great expansion in the future. Old building could use help..

May not be the most fancy place but not many options in this town. Came here for a quick bite at the end of a long trip. The soup was great on a cold night and the salsa had just the right amount of heat. Will be back for the great value.

Really good authentic food. Hand made corn tortillas were stellar .Cocktails did the trick but were made by an inexperienced bartender so there is some improvement to focus on. The ambiance was a loud , open, cantina vibe.

"Came here on a Tuesday afternoon. The place wasn't crowded but there was plenty of servers, who were all super friendly. Even the manager came out to speak with me.I ordered the vegetarian tacos and subbed the mushrooms for black beans. It was so delicious! The rice was ok and corn was cool. The house margarita was delicious! I definitely look forward to coming back. Hopefully more menu items can be made vegetarian."
"This is absolute best Mexican restaurant in New Orleans. El Pavo Real is hiding in open view where Broad meets Napoleon, but is well worth the visit! They only have street parking, but this is never a problem as I always find a spot by the tiny park just steps away. We are Always greeted on arrival and have been able to get a table even when they are extremely busy. I should note they also have a few intimate dining tables on the side of the building that are worth the wait. Our dining experience here has always been outstanding. We found that even the most basic menu items like their queso the Rajas Con Queso is prepared in amazing, unique ways you can't find anywhere else. Seriously this Queso is oven baked with onion and corn and served sizzling to your table! Their Quesadilla and tamales are surprisingly impressive and my favorite item the Shrimp Taco is a masterpiece of spectacularly fried shrimp perfectly served as an untraditional taco. "I absolutely love this place, we use to go to El Agave before the ownership change and redo. This is now our go to, we love the food and service... Omar is the best, the entire staff is great!!!Have not had one bad thing off the menu yet!!!Recommend this to anyone looking for more authentic food at a great price with great service!!!"
"This area needed authentic street tacos! Great food. I will come here often. I want to try everything. The tacos are delicious and not too greasy. Ya gotta love fresh Mexican food."
"People from work love this place. Before I start this review I need to provide you with a caveat. I do enjoy Mexican food but it is not my favorite cuisine. What does this mean for you? Well, it doesn't really mean anything to you specifically. What I mean is that when I end up here it is because I have grown tired of deciding where to go and leaving the choice up to my co-workers.La Carreta is not bad. In fact, it is a decent place to get Mexican food for lunch. My go-to order is the fajitas, usually steak fajitas. I hear if you eat a bunch of red meat it is really good for you which is why I chose this item. The fajitas are decent but have never blown me away with flavor. I would say they are pretty standard fajitas. Me, I like fajitas that are super flavorful and these just don't do it for me.The shining star of Carreta is their wait staff. Every time we have visited we have had a great server. We usually have a large group and they handle us with ease. Parking is also easy and plentiful."
"Another seriously good taqueria in Covington. Excellent street tacos, enchiladas and burritos. The service is fast and friendly. Definitely worth a stop to get your taco fix."
"I thought the food was really good and came fast at a good price. They gave me enough salsa I did have to ask for more. They gave me four tortillas with the fajitas where most places give you three. I asked for hot sauces and she asked what one do you want and named off at least four or five before I agreed to Yucatán green habanero. It was really fast and great friendly service. Cool decorations too"
"I had the lengua tacos and my husband had the Birria tacos. Both were amazing, as well as the appetizer and cocktail! Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!"
"4.5! Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the cheese dip was frothy- which was weird lol. Food was SO good. Very well seasoned. And margaritas were top notch. I only needed 1. Kids eat free on Sundays! Definitely will be going back."
"Usually always good. I'm gonna deduct a point though for a burrito which was swimming in a watery pool on the plate. It was more than just the runoff from cooked meat. It was very watery under the burrito. Anyway, out of a good number of visits here, still my favorite Mexican place on the Thomas/190 in Hammond. Still great tasting food. My kids ate it up too. Pamela the server is my fav. Always polite and nice to talk with."
"Super super great service from owner. Soft thick beans, moist rice and tender beef. So glad I stopped in."
"Thanks to some recommendations and being in the area, we stopped by for a little dinner. Safe to say, the recommendation here did not steer us wrong. It's more authentic Mexican than Tex Mex. The chips and salsa were fresh and tasty. Our entrees were served so quickly that I don't even think we were there more than 30 minutes. The food is incredibly reasonably priced! But better than all of that--the flavors were outstanding. The Chile Colorado was tender and delicious. The enchiladas supremas really did my little heart happy. I love enchiladas and you get to sample 4 different ones on this dish. It does not come with rice and beans but believe me, you will not miss it. The flavors of the enchiladas topped with Queso, lettuce and sour cream had my taste buds dancing. The service was exceptional and I can guarantee that when we find ourselves back in Gonzales we will be returning!"
"Great, speedy service. I felt welcomed. The carne asada tacos were part of taco Tuesday. At $2 each, superb. The chicken quesadilla is stuffed with lots of cheese. The chicken is pulled, not grilled. My dining partner said best birria tacos he's ever had. Saw a fair amount of carry out. Will return!"
"This place is pretty good, and they like adding new food to their menu from time to time.Today I had the "Mexican burger". Two beef patties, cheese, jalapenos and guacamole. It was delicious. Free chips and dip to start you off, alcohol or kid friendly drinks are available, limited but tasty snacks to end your meal. This place is pretty good. Worth checking out."
"Honestly the best Mexican in the new Orleans area for sure. Tex mex style at its finest. The shrimp fajitas are fantastic. The guac, salsa also on point. Fairly priced, and huge portions. It's nice to go to an Mexican restaurant, and have a Mexican staff, this place is the real deal. My lady is from Texas, and she tells me this place is on par with the tex mex you'll get there. As in most places, your best bang for your buck will be for lunch. And the lunch menu is extensive. Definitely in my rotation going forward."
"I came in for a late lunch/early dinner. It's in a strip mall with loads of parking. Inside is nice, typical older mexican restaurant feel..kind of dated, but clean. Chips and salsa were set down. I ordered guacamole, and a carne asada burrito combo. The guacamole was just ok... it had some flavor, but not a whole lot. The burrito came with mole sauce on it (love that) rice and beans. The meat was ok, a little over salted... the mole was real good. I liked the rice with peas and a little potato. Beans were pretty average. Service was a little slow. But overall, ok. I'm giving 4 stars, but it was more 3.5."
"New Mexico style food is advertised but it tastes just like Mexican to me. This is one of the most popular Mexican food joints on the North Shore and they do have a pretty cool atmosphere. The food seems to be very similar to most other American style Tex-Mex food I've had across the USA but maybe something is different here that makes it "New Mexican style" that I'm missing. Their house margaritas are good and unlike many other spots these days you can actually taste some tequila in them.My video review of Mi Mamacita's is here:https://youtu.be/F7RXMMzR2YQ"
"Bailey was the bartender and so friendly, very helpful with food suggestions. Had the pot roast and it was delicious! Ambiance is great. Love this place, I'll be back!"
"The service is fast and friendly, the food is very tasty , atmosphere is casual , parking is good , there's a small bar , divided rooms for small parties"
"Amazing local Mexican. Best In Metairie. The burrito was amazing. The birria quesadilla tacos were amazing and the chicken quesadilla. This is my go to meal after a night of drinking. Just a local shop cooking up some good food. Hours are limited though."
"Excellent meal, Julia treated us excellent with a beautiful smile. Perfect service. Food was excellent... ordered three beef tacos and rice and beans. Ambiance is great. Super clean"
"Come to Sanchez Taqueria when I'm craving authentic tacos! The owner is very pleasant and informative with his menu. I like to order the corn tortillas with barbacoa, fajita, and pollo - all very delicious! The tacos come with a spicy sauce on the side, which compliments the tacos perfectly. Great tacos, great service!"
"This place is Tex Mex and it's the best in Gonzales for sure!!My the cheese n onion enchiladas topped with chili con Carne, camera refried beans and Mexican rice it was delicious and yes the cheese is the cheddar yellow cheddar Yum Yum Yum!My granddaughter had the Baja shrimp taco plate with beans and rice, she loved them. The bean dip is delicious and the guacamole dip is amazing, it a super food and super delicious. We were seated as soon as we walked in and that's always a plus. The server was knowledgeable and attentive, so great hostess, great server and great food."
