The Most Scrumptious Meat Shops in New Orleans

I ordered the bbq chicken pizza with no bacon and it was delicious! My second time ordering it. The wings were very crispy even though some had the sauce on them. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was good and will definitely try more foods next time.

I was oddly craving some crackling on a random day; so I decided to go all out!. I decided to go with a variety of items.1. Pork belly cracklins. (My favorite salty and crunchy snack item.)2. Pepper jelly boudin balls (It was okay too. I prefer mines moist on the inside but that's a persona preference.)3. Meat pies (It was okay as well. Felt like it was missing something.)4. Deer burrito (Imagine a beef burrito from taco bell but better.)5. Pastalaya with green beans & rolls. (Jambalaya seasoning but with noodles instead!)6. Bacon beu burger fully dressed with pepper jack cheese, bbq baked beans, and potato salad. (I enjoyed this combo alot! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Over the years I have tasted a number of the menu items and have not been disappointed. But, my special item is the Italian mufalata. Wish they stayed open all day, it's that good.

Don't let the exterior fool you! This is a small, locally owned corner store that carries the usual convenient store items but also hides an amazing street-food deli. They specialize in Greek and Mediterranean cuisine as well as true Southern staples. My favorite meal, and a great value for our family is the 1 pound-gyro box, which is enough to feed my family with four pita sandwiches and extra homemade Taziki sauce. I've tried their fried chicken, gizzards, po-boys & salads - nothing has disappointed. Everything is perfectly seasoned with spices, never dry and leaves you satisfied, portion-wise.Fun Fact: They offer the biggest po-boy in town... 32 inchs!! And my oyster po-boy that fed the office was very reasonably priced. Much less than a neighboring competitors. The owner, Mo, Is very friendly and always has a smile and a kind word his customers. Mo is begging me to try one of his new specials, beef gyro? That will definitely be my next review for this Slidell gem.
