"Clean little mini market. It's clean. Everything is neatly stocked. There's hot food. Even happy hour 5:00-8:00 (10% off on alcohol)."
"You may have driven past this place a hundred times, I know I have. There isn't even a sign. What? No sign...Yep! There's no sign. When it was being built I thought, why build a gas station across from a gas station? Tucked in what appears to the naked eye as a simple gas station/convenience store is Donuts & Deli. It's no secret I'm from California as I reminiscence often of cool balmy beach weather as I swelter in the humid heat of Southern Louisiana.Louisianians love their snowballs, but we Californians LOVE us some donuts. We have as many donut joints as you have snowball stands, maybe even more. After hearing about this place ( from darling Alexis), I was eager to get my hands on some donuts. They serve a selection of classic donuts, glazed, chocolate, Bavarian cream, jelly filled and sprinkles. But then.......a wide grin as big a the Cheshire Cat creeped across my face as I eye spied a cinnamon roll as big as my head. The little Alice in Wonderland within me jumped for joy as I drooled over the various donut holes and miniature apple fritters, perfect for any mad hatter tea party. We order the giant cinnamon roll, chocolate covered donuts and jelly filled holes, all delicious!I thought I'd try their original potato, filled with the yumminess of bacon bits, cheese, butter, sour cream and green onions for a whopping $3.29 ....their menu includes sandwiches, burgers and smoked meat lunch plates....it's was obvious that some knew about this place as a dozen or so worker guys were chowing down at tables located inside.....And I was assured that the sign is coming soon.......What I discovered, even though my name isn't Alice nor did I follow a white rabbit down a hole....is that I won't have to travel far to grab delicious donuts or a bite for lunch.......Donuts & Deli gets the California stamp of approval, I'm a fan!"
"Have y'all been to the new one? It's sooooo nice! Great coffee, beautiful store, and waffle sandwiches...what could be better? These folks, that's what! Thanks for a lovely visit, you guys. Get in here, y'all, they are giving away the best smiles for free!"
"Good southern fried chicken, but no sweet tea. Everything else is like a regular gas station and convenience store. Conveniently located right on Airline, with easy access to several nice neighborhoods. Large chicken box was $15.99."
"Quick and easy gas stop in New Orleans. Gas was $3.09 a gallon. Good place to fill up before heading back home on a busy holiday weekend."
"I just recently started going here for lunch because never knew it existed. It's literally a hole in the wall, but very good quality and tasty food. We're very limited to 30 mins for lunch, therfore, order over phone and orders really within 5-10 mins. I've only tried it twice but very pleased both times. Will be posting more pictures and review with new items."
"Poboys are a staple in New Orleans, but Greg's really knocks it out of the park. The poboys are loaded with SO MUCH shrimp that are crispy and packed with flavor! Definitely plan to come back for more and to try the chicken wings others have raved to me about."
"For a gas station it's one of the biggest and best po boys in New Orleans!!! I go there EVERY time I'm in town to grab a shrimp on loaf. Big enough for 2 people!"
"Definitely a better choice for extremely clean place to stop while traveling for banos and gas .Went to the Highway 11 Shell across the highway which was not clean and smelled horrible so took a detour for this quick stop."
"Sweet and sour chicken with lomein and egg roll. $8.99. Simple to go Chinese food. They also have other various food items on the menu like gumbo, fried rice red beans, etc. I would give this place a go again."
"Surprisingly some of the best shrimp po' boys in the city! While attending Tulane I lived in New Orleans for a year. I tried to eat at as many different restaurants as I could because I knew that I was only gonna be there for a short time. One night after partying, I tried this place out at 2 am. I was pleasantly surprised. It definitely had one of the best sandwiches in the nation. That is coming from someone who has lived in the Bay area and Boulder, CO. So, I have been around the block. And I seriously must have eaten here over 20 times during that year. I enjoyed the atmosphere here because it wasn't classy. It was just a fun, cool little place to eat. They got a juke box and serve ice-cold daiquiris. The people are very friendly. One guy would always call me "MONEY" whenever I went here. It was a memorable experience. I enjoyed it so much I even took some of my friends from school here as well. The other po' boy place I like and recommend is Russell's Short Stop in Metairie. They have crawfish po' boys there; this place does not. Russell's is more expensive though. Whether you are a local or a foodie driving through, pop into this convenient location. No frills. Nothing fancy. Just good sandwiches."
"Stopped in for gas. Reasonable prices on gas and inventory inside. Very clean restroom. Wide entrances and exits. Easy to get in, out and on your way."

For a convenience store the food here is actually quite good if you ever need a quick bite. Would say the desserts are a high point. The employees here always do a great job and seem happy when I come in which adds to the positive experience here. I haven't actually eaten in the store but the tables are stained wood slabs that look quite nice. Cheap drinks as well. Wish more places had convenience stores like this

The self checkout is really nice when the lines are busy. The place is usually clean and fully stocked. Only complaint is the roller grills are almost always still cooking, but they sell quick so employees can't control that if they are restocking accordingly, which they are.

I stop here for gas regularly. It generally has the lowest price for regular unleaded in Central Metairie. Plus it's Exxon fuel as opposed to generic so it's quality fuel going into my Rav4. That's a plus for me.They also take the new Plenti card so I can earn points and use them there. That's another plus. This is also my go to for cheap fried chicken. Yeah I know it's not the healthiest thing to eat but it's a quick way to get dinner. The chicken is not too bad. The pieces are bigger than Popeyes. The taste is pretty good. My wife complains that the chicken is a little spicy, I don't think it's that bad.Today, I got the tenders for the first time, they were pretty dried out. That's my only beef with them. The convenience store itself is pretty well stocked with all the basic necessities and they have lottery tickets for those who partake in that.Even being on Airline Drive, I've never noticed a problem with loiterers. The cashiers are friendly. So four stars out of five seems like a fair grade from me.

Jimmy's discount is such an affordable place to go. The staff is great and they have the best affordable po boys in town! The po boys are huge! I recommend getting the shrimp po boys, it's delicious!

"This is a pretty "okay" gas station. I always like to get gas at Brothers because it's definitely cheaper than other stations. Inside they have some food offerings like fried chicken, fish, po boys, fries and things like that. The store seems pretty clean and I've never had an issue with service here. The one or two times I've gotten food here, it's been pretty good even though this isn't my usual go to Brothers. This spot can get a little sketchy at night, so keep your wits about you."
"When I'm New Orleans This place is a must! We love coming for the Po-boys, Fried Turkey wings, & the crawfish!"
"The newest Racetrac in town... RIP Picadilly...All shiny and new and the pumps are so fast! And there are so many of them, as befits this chain. Plus the gas was a few cents cheaper than other local spots. As I was pumping gas, kids ran back to an SUV next to me saying they had gotten FOOD! and boy did they. It almost made me go inside and stock up on beaucoup snacks. Next time!"
"Guilbeau's is a pretty good little convenience store, with a bar and pizza joint attached to it. I did some work in the area not too long ago and found myself frequenting the place very quickly. It definitely strikes you after the first couple of visits as a place where everyone knows your name (or, at least, your face). The pizza is very good and you won't be waiting more than 10 mins for it to arrive. I only tried the burger once and it was ok, not great, far from bad. Would definitely recommend the pizza if you're eating in.Beer selection on the convenience store side is typical domestic products and a small wine and hard liquor selection if you're the type that just can't wait for the drive back north to purchase your alcohol."
"The street tacos I had were very good. I would definitely order those again. However, the rice and beans I had were very subpar. The rice was dry and the beans were very chewy. What a shame because the tacos are very good. cute little restaurant grocery store. Reminds me of being in Mexico."
"I have been here in the past, and found the employees to be friendly enough, the gas a bit on the high side, and the lot easily accessible to enter and exit. The station is very well lit at night.During the current time of Covid-19, I get that companies need to diversify in their endeavors to make money. Capitalism. I was working from home one day and wanted pizza without going with the national chain. I hop on doordash and find a place called Mothership Pizza. I see that there are not many options on the menu, and see that the physical address is in a place where I do not remember a physical pizza place in the area. I went ahead and ordered. While the pizza did not taste as if it were once frozen, it wasn't quite homemade. I have included links for the doordash page and the google maps link to show that there are no pizza places in the immediate vicinity. Who am I to judge? You do you.https://www.doordash.com/store/mothership-pizza-new-orleans-901806/en-UShttps://goo.gl/maps/frDd27ogjJAnAf4s5"
"Believe it or not, riding by this gas station may look shady. But this place will not disappoint you. Honestly I was pretty skeptical about it at first, then my bf ordered the shrimp PO-boy. That was the end of the story! Lol it's always hot and fresh and you can't beat the price. They have a full menu, they have seafood, roast beef po boys, fries, Cajun fries, breakfast, hot sausage po boys, hamburger po boys. They have ribs, burgers, I mean the menu goes on and on. You can call the order in and it takes about 10-15 minutes for pick up and it's always hot and fresh. The staff is friendly and you can tell it's family owned. They are always busy and always running specials. This place is worth checking out, but don't take my word for it."
"Jake's (aka Uptown Supermarket) is a corner market / meat deli / food deli tucked in the Leonidas neighborhood. It's pretty much the place to go if you need snacks, drinks, actual food, or bulk pig tails (the porcine part, not the hairdo). As a bonus, the employees all seemed friendly and everything was very reasonable priced (a large lunch is $5.99 and included red beans and sausage, chicken, mac and cheese, sausage mashed potatoes, corn bread, and a drink). I can't wait to go back during lunch and try their poboys!"
"While the restaurant and store were pretty clean, the restroom could have been cleaner. However, the main reason for only a 3-star rating not so much against the facility here, but the Exit off the I-10 made it look like it was a bunch of stuff there. But in reality, you have to backtrack at least 4 miles to see a sign of civilization. :-o"
"Nice store for the neighborhood. It's convenient for things forgotten and they also have hot food. I especially love the chicken strips. They are delicious. There are people loitering out front so sometimes I just keep going but if not I often stop in for snacks, water, chicken, etc"
"Going to the Jett's food mart is an experience like no other as they have some of the best fried chicken in these parts! The place is super clean which is rare in the stores around here. And the food is delicious!! As the employees are so kind and helpful!"
"Expensive for a gas station, but the food is really friggin good. They also have many homemade southern baked treats alllll the time"
"It's called a mini mart, but honestly, there wasn't much of a mart. Some beverages, some snacks, some of this and that. The bulk of the store's public square footage is occupied by tables and chairs, there to support the star...their kitchen.I came for the Vietnamese food. On my first visit, I picked up Pork Sliders and Chicken Vermicelli. When my food came out, I felt how heavy my containers were, so I knew they didn't skimp on the portions. Dug in when I got back to the office and I was not disappointed. Meats in both orders were seasoned well and cooked just right, tender and flavorful.Turns out everyone at the office are already fans and know the staff by name. (I'm late!) They tend to go for their po boys and daily specials. Gotta try 'em all!"
"This RaceTrac is modern, fancy, and offers reasonably priced gasoline. When I first discovered the RaceTrac chain it was unlike any gas station I had ever visited. That was back in the 90s and the only RT I had visited was located on Gause and I-10. That place was so packed all the time that there were folks outside with headsets trying to coordinate gas purchases. Fast forward to today and the chain has blown up and become much more ballerific. This location, like most modern RaceTracs has froyo, a bunch of beer, a bunch of snacks, and a bunch of regular drinks. They also have super clean bathrooms with a separate entrance if you just want to deuce it up and then roll out. It is much more convenient to I-10 than the Gause location so if you're travelling through I'd stop here over that location. So far this review has been pretty boring and generic. What personal experience can I share that will set me apart from other reviews? Bacon Jerky. That's right ladies and gentlemen. My last visit I had been out exploring and taking photos all day and wanted a snack. I was just about to grab the hot Jack Links when I saw a package labeled bacon jerky. Hell Yes! It was pretty awesome. If you need gas, and bacon jerky, this is where you should stop."
"Great gas prices especially for canal street in New Orleans, actually, this is the best prices I've found from any other gas station! Wonderful people great service! The only thing is please don't try to use the bathroom over there lol that is terrible lol and as far as gas prices and Customer Service wonderful and the best i found in the city!!"
"Super ultimate chicken kabobs, shrimp & potato , garlic bread , tea , and cake ! looks real good, and tastes awesome! A little spicy, but just enough kick without overdoing it.As I eat down the street atop a waste receptacle, the groups passing say "wow, that's what I'm talking about!!!!" -- as they head into the entrance of Pho Tau Bay...."
"The Brown Derby is a fantastic neighborhood convenience store with a great breakfast hot bar (although not much vegan... we can hold out hope they will add some dairy free butter potatoes and vegan grits!). They have a huge drink selection and the staff is always super friendly here! I've even gotten a few winning lotto tickies from here!"
"This is a solid place to get gas.Solid is one of those terms that can be misconstrued. I'm not using it in the state of matter meaning as that would make all businesses solid. For me the term solid means A-OK. Now that your science/vocabulary lesson from the town idiot is done, I will explain why I think this station is solid.I hate travelling on 22 between 190 and Madisonville. The road configuration kind of sucks and there is always traffic. The other gas station on this route only has one way in and one way out which makes it difficult to exit if you're headed to 190.This location has exits both on 22 and on the W Approach. The issue is that some people like to cut through who aren't getting gas. Those people suck. There are several rows of pumps and you can almost always find an open spot to fuel up. Fuel is competitively priced and I've never had issues with the quality of fuel. The convenience store part of this store is kind of sketchy so I'd stick to getting gas only."
"Being the only spot in town made the choice easy, nevertheless brand new finish out. Great friendly service super clean and the food.. lord the food was phenomenal"
"My favorite gas station in Harvey! If you've ever driven on Manhattan Blvd, you know there are tons of other gas stations available but they're always blocked by the awful traffic or are not well kept (dirty, run down). Food-N-Fun is still on Manhattan but winds up being a hidden gem because it's tucked behind the Best Buy and on the opposite end of Manhattan from the high traffic.Every time I've gone to Food-N-Fun it's been extremely clean and I've never had to wait for a pump. The inside is also well-kept with nice cashiers. I obviously love that it's a hidden gem but I never understand why more people don't just take the 30 second detour and use this gas station instead."
"I was across the street picking up lunch and I decided to stop in. This is a tourist trap..in the best light possible. There is a pretty sparse selection, but it will work in a pinch. I walked in without a decipherable greeting, but who cares, I guess.Prices were as expected...with a 30% markup for my cognac, over my home liquor store. Price markings were small and a bit hard to decipher since most spirits are behind the register--so bring your glasses. The service was meh. I was originally given a short paper bag, which I surely would have dropped on the street. I asked for a plastic bag with handles, which he gave me without issue. I'm surprised he didn't struggle to hear over his loud radio squawking from behind the register."
"First of all the employee didn't seem to understand me,but ok whatever.then it took 20 minutes to get a poorboy with no one else in front of us .the people behind use orders wings and she puts those down first taking her sweet time.ok I can let that go, then she starts on our 32' poorboy just taking her sweet time finally we get it ,I said thank you and no reply.so let's move on to the sandwich 18$ right you can't even see the roast beef on the poorboy..she didn't weigh anything and clearly didn't care if we got our money worth.4 thin pieces of roast beef on there !!!! I have never been so pissed...1 star is entirely to much...sad thing is I wish I had eaten some of it..but really it was just a Mayo and pickles poorboy..never again!!!"
