"My bff Danielle told me about this restaurant. I have been here twice and have been highly satisfied both times. I have tried many options here and all are good; from the soups to the noodles. Employees are attentive. Food is loaded with flavor and prices are reasonable. There are large tables if one is dining with a large party; gratuity is added to large parties. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The best in Kenner/ Metairie!"
"It's a nice cozy place for dinner, with good food and drinks option. The service was quick and efficient and our server was very kind and attentive. We had the lychee sake and plum sake bottles, and lychee came out on top taste and flavor wise. The appetizers were nice and on point. We tried egg rolls, seafood rolls, j-pop.The fried rice was well made and spicy per request.Overall a good place for a relaxed dinner"

"Wow my last review is almost 11 years old! 9 Roses is still one of the OG Vietnamese restaurants in the GNO. I LOVE the chao tom (shrimp paste on sugarcane skewers) and you build your own wrap at the table. They also have a few Chinese favorites. Plus good vegetarian options. Service is good and the restaurant is always clean and the parking lot is easy to navigate. Accessibility for those in wheelchairs is also good."
"Five happiness has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for north of 20 years. Headed delivered via Grubhub tonight for the first time. Five happiness and GrubHub did not disappoint. I had the lo mein shrimp with vegetables. Delicious. FYI Chinese mustard ain't like regular mustard. It has a little kick."
"Love this place. Great atmosphere, service, prices, and food! I always get the Szechwan Hot Wok. So good. Only thing I can suggest for improvement is that they don't give you enough rice. I always have to order more, so that adds $3 to the cost of the entree."
"If you like a funky stripped down place that is a bit difficult to spot and has all the ambiance and decoration of a laundromat then this is the place for you.Walked there last week in the heat and humidity. Most folks seemed to be getting their food to go but we ate outside under a canopy in the somewhat disheveled back yard and it was fine as there was a ceiling fan back there. While they bring your food out to you it is up to you to get knives, forks, napkins etc.The hostess was very friendly and informative and the food was first rate. The lone chef was very businesslike in the tiny kitchen but he obviously is very talented.Great value. Will definitely return next time we are in New Orleans.Hopefully by then they would have hired some nearby high school kids to paint murals on the blank walls!"
"I went back to this restaurant about a month ago to try another dish. I believe it was a Friday evening. I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp meal which I very rarely order. The food tasted so much better this visit. It was actually very good. Maybe there was a different chef. I would definitely return and hope that there will be some consistency concerning the taste of food."
"I really enjoyed Chengs! I get why everyone comes here and recommends it on Yelp. I had the ants climbing trees and pork dumplings. Both meals were delicious and I had leftovers. The venue is serene and really updated. I've never been in the building before but I felt very impressed with the service and ambiance. Only issue is the price--def on the expensive side of eating! While I'd have to have it as a treat I believe I'll be coming back."
"I don't have high expectations for Americanized Chinese food, so it's usually all pretty decent to me. However, China Rose is one of the best in New Orleans in my opinion!China Rose is consistently good and a little different from other area Chinese places. If you want Mandarin chicken, you can order Mandarin chicken, of course! But, they also offer items that are a little unique compared to other area restaurants. ( I think they also offer possibly a little more authentic dishes too!) One thing to keep in mind is that they close earlier than other Chinese restaurants in our area. The portions are fair and similar to the amount you would expect to get at a Chinese restaurant. They don't skimp on the meats either! Plus, I've never gotten a bite full of tendons and fat on their chicken dishes, so I'm always happy with the quality of their chicken. (I don't eat beef or pork too often, so I can't speak for those)When we get food from here, we always get the Singapore noodles. They're fantastic! The dish consists of thin curried noodles, which are not very saucy, but they're packed full of flavor! It has veggies and meat sautéed and mixed in as well. I suppose this is an Indian-Chinese fusion type dish, and it's pretty unique! It's also not a greasy dish, so I usually feel that it's a fulling, but lighter meal on the stomach. I highly recommend this one! We've tried a good number of their other dishes, and they've all been good, but I particularly like the shrimp with mixed vegetables as a combination dish platter. It comes with shrimp fried rice and an egg roll. It's shrimp and vegetables sautéed in a common savory sauce, just as the name would suggest. This one isn't very unique, but I like it!"
"First time here but It was a good mealEgg drop soup, is silky and delicious. Smoothe butter creamy flavor. I normally add more so sauce for testing this before I put salt or pepper or soy sauce.I did add a few drops and This really good.I tried one of those work steam dumplings in a grabbed it was super tasty I recommend trying at least one dumpling in the egg drop soup. Soy sauce for me is great but this allows for a less salty alternative. I got the chicken low mein and it was cooked nicely a few pieces of chicken were chewy but over all the dish had good flavor and texture.I am not a mushroom person so next time I will need to remember to ask for no mushroom. They ingredient are stated on the menu that was my mistake. The mushroom were cooked to a good tenderness. The egg roll that comes with the meal was not my favorite egg roll recipe but other may like this style."
"I happened to be killing time waiting at the UPS store next door when I decided to go ahead and use the QR code in the window to order off the menu. The auto-generated text told me the food would be ready in about 20 minutes. I ran a couple of errands and came back about 30 minutes later. I was surprised that I never received a follow-up confirmation that the order was ready to go, but it was there waiting for me just the same. The food itself was pretty standard takeout Chinese food. There wasn't enough sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour chicken, but it was filling in the way that all Chinese food is--you stuff yourself silly and then are hungry again within the hour. At least the serving size was good for the price, so I could have my second helping later!"
"Great Chinese food in the quarter. The service is A+++. Bao is the best. This place is a nice little "secret" of the French Quarter but if you're looking for something different to eat in downtown besides the typical New Orleans cuisine, definitely check this place out. Can't wait to go back."

'Little Chinatown' is a fantastic Asian restaurant on Williams Blvd in Kenner. Their appetizers, soups (Hong Kong soup is my fav), eggrolls, etc are great. The delicious Roasted Peking Duck which many restaurants don't carry this as it's a complex cooking technique, but they do it here. Chili Pepper Gulf Shrimp is spicy at just the right amount. I also like the Salt & Pepper Pork Chop is tasty with Asian flavors, so it's really not just S&P type of chop. I've brought different groups of friends and family and all love it. My father is very picky when he eats out and he really likes it, so it must be good. Ha! Restaurant is clean, bathrooms too and the waiters are always friendly. I often get take out from here and the owner/manager runs the register where you pick up food and she is always so welcoming and thankful you're there.

Amazing restaurant, and they're open until midnight! It's a huge building but still feel intimate and comfortable. Great prices especially for what you get! I ate too fast so I got pictures of nothing! but! So good! Definitely my new go to for New Orleans. Can't go wrong, there's ample parking around the block as well which makes a huge difference! The service is awesome as well, everyone I talked to was nice, helpful and friendly. My server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, which helps me because I never understand what it's saying lol

Very impressive. I eat a lot of Chinese food and I have to say this place has the best Wonton soup I've ever had. The order, delivered by Uber Eats arrived 25 minutes ahead of schedule. It was a little pricey, but honestly, as good as it was, I'm not complaining. I could easily eat the Lo Mein for two meals.

While visiting NOLA this past week, we ended up eating here twice. It was really good. I had the honey walnut shrimp the first time then the coconut soup the second time. My only complaint was the coconut soup was a little too watery for me. Otherwise, it was good.

My last experience here wasn't great, but it's been a few years. This place flew one of my radar since then so I decided to try it tonight and I was very pleased. I nibbled on the scallion pancake (good), green beans (good and super umami), tea salad (super vinegary and yummy as I remembered it), vegan bao (didn't care for these... strange flavor), and the best surprise of the night - mixed sauce noodle. I remember not liking this dish the last time I had it, but tonight it was awesome. The first bite caused my sinuses to open up and my face to start going numb. There were plentiful veggies as well, which is important to me. Leafy kale, fermented cabbage, scallions, and peanuts. I slept on this place for too long and wanted to rectify my last review. Good sh*t.

Hong Kong Kitchen is a good, fast, Chinese food spot. I've had Hong Kong Kitchen about 4 times so far, since writing this, and it hasn't disappointed me. The service is fast, as soon as you come in you are acknowledged/greeted and out the door within a second if your order is ready. I've literally ordered food while on the way there and it was ready, HOT, when I got there in about 10 minutes or so. I was skeptical of the rice because I normally don't like the yellow looking fried rice, but it's good!!! I get it all the time! I don't think the place is a "dine in" place I don't remember if there were any tables or not maybe 2-4 if there are. They're on Door Dash for convenience but you can also go in to order or pickup. Go check em out!

"The service at Jane's was great. Our table of 10 sat down oretty fast.l for being a little busy arpund 6pm. The waiter was extremely helpful and nice. The food came out hot and delicious. Thursday special was 10 pounds of crawfish for $60 couldn't beat that."
"The food was delicious! The new owners really took it up a level. The inside decor is more inviting, the Shanghai Pop music playing was fun and all the customers were loving it. Will definitely be back!"
"This family-owned restaurant is an absolute treasure! The warmth and dedication of the staff shine through in every dish they serve. Their Asian cuisine is phenomenal - I can't recommend the pho #1 and spring rolls enough... simply outstanding! Everything tastes wonderfully homemade using top-quality, fresh ingredients. You can truly taste the care that goes into their food. A well-deserved rating! If you haven't visited yet, you're missing out on one of the best dining experiences in town."
"A very good variety on the buffet table and all was freshly prepared. Can't say much about the service since a buffet and you for the most part serve yourself. We had to ask for drink refills instead of being offered. Typical strip mall location with ok ambiance."
"This place has come in clutch more time than I can count. We love a late night delivery from them. I think we've tried about 70% of their menu items. Chicken on a stick is our go to app. For the entrees it just depends on the day. You can't go wrong with whichever you decide on. The prices aren't bad either."
"Did a Google search for Chinese food near me and this place came up. Delicious food at a great price. The portions were huge! Enough leftover food to last a few days. The service was great although there were only 2 tables occupied, including mine. However, they do major take-out business. Constant take-out patrons and food delivery people."
"I got the chicken lo mein and curry chicken from this restaurant. They were both delicious and averagely priced for the area. I might have found my new favorite Chinese take-out place! The lo mein tastes almost pan fried. It wasn't drowning in sauce, but the flavor was all in the noodles. The curry was yummy too, with the vegetables not being overcooked at all. The chicken was plentiful, soft and tender for both dishes. They didn't skimp at all! The curry here was not very spicy, so be sure to ask for extra heat if that's what you're into!Pick-up was quick (15 minutes for the food to be ready after placing the order), easy and pandemic-safe (a small window to accept your food and pay for it, so you don't have to go into the restaurant at all).My only complaint is that the neighborhood seems a little dicey. I went to pick-up my food with my boyfriend close to 10pm, and I didn't feel completely safe. (Nothing happened though!) I would probably not choose this location to go to alone at night as a young female. I'll just go pick-up for lunch!"
"First, I wanna say thank you, Amy, the service was impeccable...it's like you we're reading my mind. Thank you so much for serving up a great meal!We ordered the kid's chicken and fries for the little dudes and, of course, I had to try the chicken. It was delicious! Perfectly fried and the batter was flaky and delicious. The little dudes rarely eat all of the chicken on their plates, but they were fighting over the last bite tonight. Or was that me? Whatever, it was good stuff. The appetizer sampler came out hot, fresh, and piled high. I tore through my chicken wing first and would go back just for an order of these babies. The Cho Cho, Crab Rangoon, and Temoura Shrimp were all pretty standard, but it is definitely a high standard. The egg rolls, too, were done well and were hot and crispy. The sauce is sweet and tangy, but I like mine spicy, so I kicked it up with some mustard. I would have really enjoyed some chili oil in it, though. Still, it was good and went fast!We ordered the Mongolian Beef entree. It comes with either white rice or combination fried rice; we got the fried rice. This was the only part of the meal I didn't care for. There wasn't much flavor and the rice was overcooked. Of course, it was the last half hour of the day, so I imagine they probably do a pretty good job most of the time, but most of the rice was left in the bowl when we were done. The Mongolian Beef, though, what a knock out! Fresh and crunchy vegetables, perfectly cooked strips of beef, with a sauce that was just spicy enough to make the Petunia and me smile big big. A dash of soy sauce and we were off and chomping. I wish there had been more beef, but that isn't the chef's fault; Petunia was on a roll with her fork. To be fair, we worked in the yard all day and this was our first meal, but I am writing this with a watering mouth thinking about that dish and wishing I had some more beef!First time here, but we will definitely be back; good food and great service are hallmarks of a good restaurant, and these guys are really good."
"I ordered the General Tso Tofu and spring roll. The general tso sauce was not as thick and flavorful as I'm used to but you do get a ton of fried tofu. But only a few pieces of broccoli. The food was just okay but since they are the only Chinese restaurant I've found thus far that makes fried tofu versions of classic entrees I will most likely return. I'll just order extra broccoli next time. Also, I must inform that the family really enjoyed their shrimp lol mein, chicken lol mein, and sweet and spicy chicken."
"Very good sushi for the price and HUGE portions! The crab ragoons were more savory than I'm used to, but the sweet and sour sauce was very sweet so it balances well."
"My favorite part about Red Star is not just the fact that they have so many great vegetarian options, but that they really know how to use produce. There are no rubbery mushrooms, no uncooked greens, no big chunks. Every ingredient is incorporated perfectly, like the thin ribbons of cabbage that come on the general tso's tofu/chicken. Everything I've had is like this!If you go to Red Star to pick up or dine in what you'll find is a very small space, with just two tables. That's typical for takeout restaurants, but what sets Red Star apart is just how clean and organized it is. Absent is the clutter or grime I associate with takeout places, in its place there's clean floors, clear windows, and a wall of real, living plants! The lady who runs the counter is nice. She communicates well, packages the food securely, and is amenable to special requests like "I want an extra 8oz container of general tso's sauce." Service like that is just great.Red Star may not be fancy, but it is the tastiest, most consistent takeout I've ever had. Best of all, it's still cheap! I'll be a loyal customer as long as they're in town."
"Super delicious and food is fine super quick! Prices are good too, which is great because it's right outside of LSU campus"
"Love August Moon. Love the lady that takes the phone orders. Love the delivery guy. My department orders from August Moon once a month and we call to make an order at 10:45am. We get our food by 11:45.Food is always fresh, no complaints. Our go to is lunch special general tso chicken, sweet n sour chicken, lemon grass chicken and boneless chicken. Their grilled pork vermicelli and lemon grass shrimp substitute fried rice for vermicelli are also delicious! We like the different substitutions if you didn't want the eggroll. Definitely recommend"
"Classic Americanized Chinese food done right. I have eaten here numerous times over the last 10 years. I've consistently ordered the same thing every time. The lunch plate "shrimp with garlic sauce". It comes with shrimp fried rice and fried wontons. If you dine in, you also get a cup of some delicious hot and sour soup or egg drop soup. I always opt for the hot and sour soup. Yesterdays lunch was no different. The veggies are so fresh and cooked perfectly, the shrimp is deveined and plentiful. There's plenty of egg, veggie and shrimp in the fried rice. The fried wontons are basic...and I wish it came with an egg roll but for the price (11.00) it can't be beat. The service is good. They check on you regularly and leave you alone if you take work calls or meetings. The inside is no frills diner but the back booths are super comfortable and cozy."
"The food here is good, but the ambience is a little weird. I can't put my finger on it, but I think it would better serve a pizza restaurant. We went about 30 mins before they closed, so the place may have been picked up for closing time. The wait staff is super friendly, and the prices aren't bad. We ordered general chicken, some egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken. Definitely large portions, and like I said, it is pretty tasty."
"The service here was very excellent. The waitress was very attentive. And much like all buffets. This one has its good points and not so good points. My biggest complaint was the lack of hot food . Most of it was lukewarm, if not slightly cold. I don't understand that at all. Yuk ."
"I wanted some Chinese food and this hit the spot. I ordered to go and my food was ready quickly. I really liked the hot and sour soup, and the lo mein was great! I will definitely go there again."
"This is a favorite of my daughter and has been for years. If you're looking for basic Chinese fare, Yummy Yummy is a good option. They have all of the dishes you've come to know and some you might want to try for the first time. The prices are good and the portions are very generous. I love their food as much as my daughter, but my waistline thinks otherwise. I'm a sucker for all of their fried and sauced chicken dishes, and I'm also a fan of their lo mein. Chinese comfort food is what I'd call it."
"China House may be the only one open 7 days per week in this area. Lucky for them as we tend to crave it on Sundays! I called in my order, was told 20-25 minutes, but was ready in 18! I went inside and paid, and they were hustling to get it ready. I don't consider myself a critic of Chinese food, but for my family, this place is consistently delicious! Feast for a fam! $56 of 2 chicken low meins, 6 egg rolls, shrimp and broccoli (lunch special with rice and a drink), and triple delight with side of white rice. 6 of us ate with plenty leftovers!"
"Excellent food. We picked up sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken, egg rolls, crab Rangoon. All very good"
"The first time I came in my brain couldn't make sense of this place. It looks like a house, but I found it online by searching for a grocery store. They didn't have much in the way of grocery items. No produce, in fact the shelves were half empty, but there was an entire wall dedicated to t-shirts and hats? And then there was a kitchen in the back...with po boys? Yes, po boys. This ended up being the last thing I ate on a flight out of the city. I always try to grab a little something for the plane ride, and in a rush ordered the shrimp po boy, not knowing the amazing quality of the meal I was about to enjoy miles in the sky. Damn. I wish I had more to say, I know this is one of my favorite po boys in the city (right up there with Verti Marte). The fry on that shrimp was so perfectly textured and seasoned, I miss this sandwich so much. They also serve breakfast, fried chicken, and Chinese food."
"Decent experience, with bonus points given for them dealing with obvious difficulties. I came here around 4:45 on a Saturday, hoping to beat the dinner rush because I had a large-ish order to place. There were two employees, one who was in training and one who did all the actual cooking. Service wasn't fast, but I ordered at least 10 different things - most of them sushi rolls - so some extra wait time is to be expected with only one person making the food. The sushi rolls I had were decently formed. The end pieces were a bit clunky, but that's common. The spicy roll that I got was actually quite spicy, which was a nice surprise."
"So, we were looking for a quick lunch and decided on chinese. The place by our house is bit very good, and I checked yelp to find a new one. THANK YOU Yelp!! The food was great, fast, flavorful and my favorite part... it was plentiful! We ordered the lunch special $4.95. You can't beat that price for lunch!"
