Bubby's Snoballs

Lakeview has a newish snoball shop, thankfully. Unfortunately, doesn't seem to be as good as some of the better known shops that have been doing this a while. The flavor I ordered was "clear spearmint"; not sure why the clear flavors cost more but I was hoping it was because they are stronger.Unfortunately, the snoball that resulted was unevenly flavored. I tasted a decent bit of flavor on the bottom with my straw, but most of the top and center had little spearmint and were mostly ice. Ideally, these things are made by layering in the flavor generously as the cup is gradually filled with ice and pouring some extra on top. One of the advantages of syrups that aren't clear is you can see where the flavor went; not so in this case.They make flavored snow, and if I'm going to pay for that, I expect it to be done right. What else can I rate them on?

More flavor snowballs than other spots. I really like the stuffed snowballs get a little extra soft serve topping on them. This was the only snoball place open on a holiday too. Cash only. You'll see the colorful building on the side of the gas station. Would def come back here.

Their snoballs lack flavor. Our snoballs were mostly ice, especially in the middle of the snoball.This stand also has fewer options than most snoballs stands.

Their snowball ice is so smooth. There is never a line or huge wait. The different snowball flavors are delicious. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommend!

As the spouse of a snowball fanatic, I often find myself frequenting snowball stands all across the metro area. I've only been to Bubby's a few times and every time I've gone, it was to get the wifey a snowball. However, that doesn't mean I didn't take a giant scoop. (All for the benefit of Yelping about it).If you live on the Westside of Harrison between Old Hammond Highway & Veterans Blvd, this is actually a convenient location. Located at the corner of Harrison & Fleur De Lis in the corner of Fleur De Lis Car Care's parking lot, this small stand actually serves up a decent snowball. I had (eh....sampled) a chocolate snowball with condensed milk and it was A-ok, for lack of a better phrase. The ice was pretty smooth, but not velvety and the chocolate was sweet but not to the point of being overbearing.The best thing about this place is that there never seems to be a really long line. The do a steady business and you can get a good snowball in 5 minutes or less.

Love this little snowball stand. The ice is shaved good. I'm picky about snowballs but this is in top 3 in Nola

Good snowball. Nothing unusual but a good local business that provides a valuable option. Service was prompt and friendly. Parking right in front. Will visit again!

Was just trying to enjoy a nice snow cone and definitely did not expect it to be served with a side of discrimination. The people were HIGHLY disrespectful and the ice was hard, the icecream was not good and worker was unable to count despite using a calculator for help.

Good stuff! I didn't order anything but the kids loved their soft serve. Wifey had the SF coconut.
