The staff makes you feel like family when you walk in and the food is always delicious! Tyler , my clerk was amazing! Decided to give this place a try today. I ordered the white beans with rice, salad and chicken wings which are really individual drumettes and flats.Overall this plate lunches pretty good. One of the things I wasn't crazy about was the bean to rice ratio. Which was way more beans to rice that is given. It wouldn't hurt to put a little bit more rice on the plate if you're going to put a lot of beans. The beans were creamy and perfectly seasoned I will say that much. The chicken was pretty good for the most part. A little salty for my taste ( but I am salt sensitive). But after pulling the skin off they were great. Overall the price is okay and the service was excellent. I will most definitely come back again.

I love to support black owned businesses and this place didn't disappoint! They used to be located in Saint Martinville but moved recently near my job. The staff is amazing and very friendly. I have tried the grilled shrimp salad and the fried shrimp and fish platter. Everything was perfect!!! I love how they season everything to perfection.

My daily commute is passing in front of Brown Skillet. Finally decided to stop in this morning. Being in Fast Food Service for 17 years I'm detailed in a Restaurant from the moment I hit the parking lot (looking at the outer appearance to see what's the inner appearance). Awesome and clean, neat, tidy and eat off the floor type appearance inside. Great job crew. Now the food - Absolutely great. The proportions - spot on, got the Mega Breakfast, the service - excellent. Also got this Mason jar of Lemonade. I'm thinking I'm about to start collecting Mason Jars (will be trying the various flavors of the lemonade). If you are reading this please find your way to Brown Skillet on University for Breakfast. Once I try lunch I'll be back with a lunch update. By the way Tyler (?) keep up the great service. A person's day can be made by the people they encounter first thing in the morning. My husband and I were visiting family and looked for a local small place to eat breakfast. Let me tell you our smoked sausage, egg sandwich was to die for. Delicious and employees very friendly. Lafayette folks, y'all need to check this restaurant out.

I just found out about this business last week. But I plan on frequenting here OFTEN!! The food was sooo good and the Customer Service was out of this world!! I love this place and will return again and again. You should TOO!

The BEST burger I have ever had! The menu is so extensive and a great value. The staff is so friendly which enhances the experience. I'll definitely be back to try other items!

Breakfast sandwiches are amazing and family recipe lemonade is a must try! The food is great, but the customers service deserves a 10-star review! Highly recommend when you are in the downtown area and worth the short drive if you are not!

Wow...the best burger I've had in ages, hands down! My sis picked up lunch for us, first time here. We'll definitely be back. We both had a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and a side of onion rings that we split. Onion rings were 100% homemade and so were the HUGE burgers. You sure get your $ worth here. You could tell they cook with love and that it's their passion. My sis also said they were extremely nice and friendly. Can't wait to try something else!
