I love this store. They carry my favorite brand of seltzer at an affordable price, stock ice cream flavors you don't always see at the surrounding big box groceries, and the staff working are always pleasant- they move their lines quickly!! Whether for gas, a pizza, or a drink to-go, Brown Derby reigns supreme amongst the convenience stores in the city! Great store. *PS- they are one of the few businesses around who do not allow people to loiter and beg customers for money by the front door. As a regular customer, this is noticed and valued. Not many other surrounding businesses do anything about this, and customers appreciate.

I stopped here for lunch on the fly. I got the Salisbury steak and mash potatoes. The food was good. The meat was thick, juicy, and flavorful. The mash potatoes were creamy and tasty as well. There were other down home food options like baked chicken, white beans, stew chicken, smothered okra, etc. When placing your order, you have the option to order a small plate or large. I opted for the small this time. The meal also comes with a free canned soda, which was pretty cool. This is cool place to jet in and out of if you want something hearty to eat.

I work in the goodwill building and wanted cheese grits. I always see this store next door and today was gave it a shot. I walked in and thought...eh. Lol but proceeded to the food. I was happily greeted, the staff was really nice. The options for breakfast were great! There were many different meats for grits and gravy. I just wanted grits and cheese with eggs, so that's what I got. I had to wait for the fresh eggs to come out which was plus. Moral of the story is...it's a good breakfast and I'll be going back. I think they'll get to know me by name. Lol

I have been here in the past, and found the employees to be friendly enough, the gas a bit on the high side, and the lot easily accessible to enter and exit. The station is very well lit at night.During the current time of Covid-19, I get that companies need to diversify in their endeavors to make money. Capitalism. I was working from home one day and wanted pizza without going with the national chain. I hop on doordash and find a place called Mothership Pizza. I see that there are not many options on the menu, and see that the physical address is in a place where I do not remember a physical pizza place in the area. I went ahead and ordered. While the pizza did not taste as if it were once frozen, it wasn't quite homemade. I have included links for the doordash page and the google maps link to show that there are no pizza places in the immediate vicinity. Who am I to judge? You do you.https://www.doordash.com/store/mothership-pizza-new-orleans-901806/en-UShttps://goo.gl/maps/frDd27ogjJAnAf4s5

Brown Derby is rightfully well noted for their carry out buffet that offers a lot of great choices everyday which they serve in huge portions at a value price. There really isn't anywhere to sit down and enjoy your meal after you purchase it so this is strictly a carry out only place. Brown Derby is also a convenience store and offers an assortment of all manner of other items so you can do a bit of shopping before getting in the often long line to enjoy some of the food from this spot. This is a very popular spot in the area so the line for the food can be longer especially around breakfast and lunch so plan accordingly.

Superstore indeed. Hot food, gas, t-shirts... You name and it's probably here. This is corner store meets gas station... The gas, which is normally HIGH, is Exxon branded, so I will fuel up, only when in dire straits. And of course, I use my Plenti card to rack up on points... Win-winFriendly staff. The cook in the kitchen is fine as well, although I guess sometimes she can be feisty, but shucks I guess I would to being couped up near all that grease & heat. Being able to get HOT FOOD is a great thing, but once she's out, that's it. I've gotten a few food items here, no complaints. I like being able to dart in and grab a few things as need. Nice having them here.

This is a brand new gas station (Exxon at the moment) and convenience store. The space is super clean (as it should be since it's brand new). The gas station portion is well lit.Do not confuse this with the Original Brown Derby which is across Jeff Davis from this location and sells hot plates. I do wonder if they are affiliated or all appropriating a traditional name.

This store is a SCAM‼ went to get my iPad fixed and another guy that worked there warned me that the repair guy would run me for my money‼ I didn't believe him and suffered the consequences. First time around I paid $220 he kept saying he's "giving me a discount" mind you I know how much everything cost to get my iPad repair but maybe he was incorporating taxes and labor. I knew it was a red flag when I asked him to reset it and he said it was an EXTRA $30. So I reset it myself at home within 2 minutes. The first day I received my iPad the screen was lifting and I had multiple functions not working such as Touch ID , ft , and certain keys on my keyboard couldn't be touched. I made him aware of the issues through cashapp. I live far so I wasn't able to just constantly travel over an iPad , I finally brought it back because out of nowhere my screen started going haywire and had ghost touch horribly. He said he would fix it and I asked for the price and he didn't give me one. I come back to pick up my iPad in a week HE SAYS ITS $100!!!! Mind you it's broken again BECAUSE HE FAILED TO GLUE IT DOWN PROPERLY. He refused to release my iPad to me unless I paid and wouldn't negotiate a price. I'm never coming back to this store again FOR ANYTHING‼ , my screen still has a slight ghost touch and lags behind after being touched but atp I don't even care , I'll just buy a new one if it breaks.

Where else can you get gas station pizza at 3 a.m. in the morning? It gets 4 stars just for that. But I will warn you, GET IT HOT. Don't eat their ready pizzas.

Mothership Pizza is the EXACT same store as Brown Derby Pizza, both list 3402 Tulane Avenue, New Orleans, LA, as their address yet do not acknowledge that they are one and the same on UberEATS per my expertise and apparently on Door Dash per another reviewer's. I had a horrible experience previously with Brown Derby's God-awful anti-pizza and vowed never to order from them again. However, as I've learned, Mothership Pizza is nothing but a facade and the EXACT same horrible pizza. If that isn't duplicitous and deceptive enough, the photos used by Mothership Pizza featuring their product are flat out LIES AND MISREPRESENTATIONS. Note this complaint has zero to do with the pandemic, I remain sympathetic to small businesses. But my Brown Derby experience occurred last year and the mere idea of shucking and jiving and neither clearly informing consumers that it's a re-branding nor depicting honest photos of actual product is indefensible and just wrong. NEVER again will anyone I know go down this rabbit hole.
