A small dive bar on Magazine street with a small music venue in back that will often feature BOTH country AND western. It's a pretty small place with your basic dive bar drink offerings as long as they are not too complicated. During my recent visit here the whole place smelled like tainted provolone cheese- and not in a good way. Cheap enough and on the parade route during Mardi Gras.

Crazy how I am just now reviewing this bar. Been coming here for a few years. Back when it was smoking, then non smoking, and now the current post old owner/ covid protocol version. I would say minus the no sitting at the bar, this version is the best so far. They now sell food. That's a plus. And its cleaned up in here too. The mens bathroom air isn't a pee and fruit fly saturated atmosphere anymore. No clue whats happening in the womens bathroom. Still cash only. The same bartender I always seen. Still funny and dry as ever. He was obviously happy to be behind that bar again. There is video poker in there as is a pool table and a busted up Ms. Pacman machine in the back. Sketchy as all get out but the good kind of sketch. Nothing I would fear any physical harm from. There is still plenty of sitting along a wall. A jukebox. I don't know, I just really like this bar. A friend of mine, Courtney, had a great statement about Bros III, just walking in here gives you a hangover. That is kinda true. Mostly because if you walk out of there without the ability to get a hangover, you didn't stay long enough.

When the owner of this classic lounge passed over the summer, I thought "that's it. Gone." I'm so glad I was wrong.I saw a post that said the bar would reopen at 11am on December 26th and I was over there by 12:30pm. And it was the same old joint... but cleaner!I was really worried about how it would smell after being closed up for months, but the new management had a cleaning crew in there who did a great job. Same old shabby everything and Danielle was a great returning bartender for the day shift. At the moment it will not be 24/7 but they are planning on 11am to 4am (or later if the crowd is good). So I guess that will do. It was fun to hang out and watch all the neighbors stop in and grab a beer and say hi. Lots of hugs and reminiscing going around.

Post Covid- Stopped by after brunch at La Petite Grocery. Super clean and friendly service. We sat on the benches outside and enjoyed the weather. Good to have it back open!

Brothers III is one of my favorite bars in the world. I was walking down Magazine with my two drunk friends, saw the yellow painted building and decided to stop in. There was an old man push-up contest inside. I cannot wait to return. My two friends and I now have a group text named "The Brothers III" and we consider ourselves just that.

Fun meeting place, local people meeting, tourist getting their bearings, families meeting from around the world. Good uptown location close to bakery, flower shop, variety of restaurants, on the bus line. Good safe fun place. Cheapest beer in New Orleans!

This is a good dive bar if you want to drink cheap beers alone and don't care much for decor. The pool table is not level.

We were walking around the Garden District and looking for a place to rest and get a drink. A very pleasant chat with a local named George sent us here. We were a little uncertain when we saw the group of locals hanging around outside but one of them was Ian, the bartender and he invited us in. We had a great time talking to him about his travels and had the inside to ourselves. The place was nice and had just the right degree of dive-ness to be fun.
