Seeking a place to post up and get some work done during my recent trip to New Orleans, I just knew a brewery was right up my alley. So I made my way to the outskirts of the French Quarter and Brieux Carré Brewing Company, to do just that. ++ Small, intimate space. You can tell the beertender absolutely knows their regulars. Love finding the locals hangouts on my travels!++ For those looking to get out of the rain and get some work done, like me, there's a space off the taproom called the "Lager Lounge" which offered me a perfect spot to work away with few distractions. ++ Had the weather been more cooperative, there's also a spacious looking patio space!++ The beer names are very clever!++ They have a "Beer it Forward" program where you can prepay a beer for someone based off a random piece or criteria - like being a "Level 60 Pokemon Trainer" or "Driving a Mazda 3". Talk about fun ways to make connections.+/- For a girl who was craving sour/tart brews, they had one option that spoke to me during my visit: Moving to the city, going to eat a moderate amount of apricots. This gose with apricots and smoked sea salt fit the bill for sure! There is a fair variety of other brew options, but I personally wasn't feeling them that day. Brieux Carré Brewing Company was def what I was looking for. I'd gladly make my way back to see what's brewing next time I find myself in the Big Easy.Cheers, New Orleans!

Stopped in for a beer while out for a walk, post Cafe Du Monde. Mainly a lager house with one ale on tap - not the place to go if you only drink IPAs. That being said the lagers were exceptional and definitely worth a stop. Good menu on a QR code for food to go with, great hush puppies. Worth a stop for this who enjoy beer.

I was rewarded in my French Quarter meanderings for checking out this marvelous brew pub. They have a contraption called a bier puppeteer. Apparently it has German origins. I have great video of a guy dumping his bier as he tries to take a sip. He promptly ordered another.I ordered a 90s Women's Power Ballads Hazy IPA and a Märza Märza Märza Dunkel German brown lager. Hit the spot. Hope I have an uneventful stroll back to the hotel! The stainless brew tanks are an arm's length away. If you love craft brew on tap, come here!

Stumbled upon this small brewery. Delicious porter! Quick service with a cute sitting room. Large patio in the back. A very good find for sure!

It's a very small brewery/ tap room, just east of the famous French Quarter in New Orleans. They had about 10 beers on tap, no cans for take out though. I tried their Crispy Boyz II Men pilsner. A nice and hoppy beer, very drinkable.

This was my hang out spot because it was a one block from my hotel during this stay in New Orleans. The brewery is located in the Marigny neighborhood and borders Frenchman Street. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and they appear to have locals hang out there as well! The space indoors is small..but they have more space out back in their Biergarten. The beers are brewed in European style Lagers/Pilsners. I enjoyed the Saison they had on tap...lil funky and sour! The prices were moderate (flights $17). If you are in this area...I recommend you stop in and check them out!

A bit out of the way but worth the journey if you are into beer or have a large group. Service is super friendly, and it is great that you can get your beer in three different sized pours. The Černé Down For What 15° is the best one I had, but they have a number of others that come in for a close second. The area in the back is a place that feels familiar. There are a few games back there and large tables to enjoy great times with friends. I can't comment on their food but as part of a large group we had a crawfish boil and gumbo brought in that was amazing when combined with the beer. If you need a lot of space for a good time, consider making this one of your top choices.

My boyfriend and I had time to kill before our flight home so we decided to check out one last brewery in NOLA. Brieux Carré was a fun place to hang out for a while. I stuck with their liquid death waters - which they had a pretty decent selection of.My boyfriend tried two rounds of flights and we had fun trying all the fun beers they had. My boyfriend especially loved the Beer It Forward wall! He bought one for a New Jersey teacher so hopefully someone snatches that one up. They have some fun snacks but we were too full from lunch to indulge. We headed to their back patio and hung out for a while. I do wish they had some games or something in the back to spend some time but we still had fun. Staff was friendly too. Place was minimally crowded on a Friday afternoon.

Before hitting up Bourbon St to see what the heck happens there on a busy night, we decided to find a few craft breweries and came across this place. It's at the end of Frenchmen Street and looks like a house on the block. We stared for a quick second and realized this was our place. We walked in to a long bar with a few people in line looking to place an order. After a minutes, the line cleared up and we grabbed a couple of beers. I went to look for a seat and found a patio in the back. Cool spot, it's lit up with holiday style lights all around. There's a small deck but also just some grass. The beer is pretty decent. You can buy snacks with your beer. We sat back to people watch and catch up. Weather was beautiful and ambience was great. The bartender is really cool, will give you recommendations if you ask for it and very helpful. The prices are fair and the inside is pretty cool too. Nice spot to start or end your night outside the zoo that is Bourbon St
