I came around 1:30 pm to have Just the banana foster for dessert. I was planning to sit at the bar as that is what the hostess said to do the night prior since they were booked. The manager said they weren't serving dessert at the bar, but managed to seat us at a table. Our server was sweet and definitely a foodie. She shared some of her fav restaurants and did a nice job with the banana foster, I enjoyed this signature must have in NOLA!

When planning my trip to NOLA, Brennan's was at the top of my list to try. They've been around for ages, and have so much history and influence of New Orleans cuisine.First of all, the restaurant itself is gorgeous. There are many different spaces both downstairs and upstairs, and the various rooms have totally unique decor. Even the bathroom is amazing :) The staff is also fantastic. Very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. We came here for breakfast and were very pleased with our experience from start to finish. I wanted to try both the Eggs Hussarde and the Eggs Sardou and they were able to give me one of each in my order which was exactly what I wanted. They were totally different and I enjoyed them both.My friend got the Scotch egg and loved it as well.We of course couldn't skip the Bananas Foster which was invented here and is made tableside, flames and all. I 100% recommend you get this if you dine at Brennan's. I can't imagine any circumstance in which I would skip it.Thank you for your hospitality and delicious food!

We stopped in at Brennan's for the second night of our New Orleans trip for The Wife's birthday dinner and of course for the Banana's Foster. We did have a reservation, which was a good thing as despite it being a Monday night, they were still plenty busy. Despite this all throughout the experience the service was great - expedient and efficient. The food was also delicious - I really enjoyed the gumbo and the blackened redfish and of course the banana's foster was great, both the dish and the spectacle of it all. Finally, kudo's to Brennan's for doing something unique on birthday's where they provide this massive cotton candy cake to the table, a fun and unique way to celebrate, that we did not expect. So if you are like us and you haven't been to Brennan's, visiting this institution is definitely worth a stop, and don't forget the Banana's Foster!

Well what can u say about brunch at Brennan's? It's just the classic New Orleans thing to do. We were super excited and it didn't disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was perfect. The GM came by personally to thank us for celebrating an anniversary and bday with them. Our waitress was professional and knowledgeable on the history of the restaurant.. just an overall experience you must do when in the French Quarter. Ps.. don't forget to save room for the bananas foster.. life changing!!

I had high expectations for Brennan's in New Orleans, given all the hype, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to it for me. While the service was excellent--the staff was attentive and welcoming--the food itself fell flat.We started with the turtle soup, which I expected to be rich and flavorful, but it was pretty underwhelming and didn't stand out in any way. For the main course, we had the redfish, and while it was cooked well, it lacked seasoning and depth of flavor. For dessert, we tried the bread pudding, which was decent but nothing particularly memorable. We didn't order the Bananas Foster, which is one of their signature dishes, so maybe that would have made a difference.Overall, while the ambiance and service were great, I found the food to be underwhelming for the price and reputation. With so many incredible dining options in New Orleans, I don't think I'd rush back.

Came here for bunch on Friday with a group of 5 while in town for the wknd to celebrate a friends birthday. The banana foster did not disappoint and was by far the best thing I had during brunch.I started with the seafood gumbo which was ok and for my entree I had the lobster omelette cardinal which I really enjoyed. To drink I had the French quarter fest which was good as well. My favorite thing we had was their though was the dessert. The famous banana foster which was invented at Brennan's in 1951. It is made table side along with a little history on how it came to be. My friend ordered the turtle soup and I decided to try to (I tiny bit lol) and dare I say it wasn't bad. I tasted like a black bean soup. Idk if I actually had any of the turtle but the broth portion was good. This isn't somewhere I would frequent but it was an over all nice brunch.

We were in town for a concert and decided to go to Brennan's, partly because of the name and what it means to Berkeley natives. It did not disappoint, whatsoever. Beautiful decor, great service, and delicious food.

If I had to only give one 5 stars on my weeklong trip to NOLA, it would be for Brennan's. All the servers could catch flies with how sweet they asked about where we came from and whose birthdays we were celebrating. We got all 9 apps and each ordered an entree for our 9 person group. Apps were cleaned long before entrees came and enjoyed tremendously. Entrees and desserts were delightful as well. But what puts Brennan over the top is still their service. Each dish was presented and delivered together, almost like a show to enjoy. Highly recommend for tourists and locals alike!

There's a good reason the Brennan family has been operating restaurants in New Orleans for so long. They know how to provide excellent food and service in a lovely setting. We have dined at Brennan's twice, and both were wonderful. Some of our cajun and creole favorites are the turtle soup, the seafood gumbo, and the blackened red fish. Their bananas foster is legendary. No joke. They are the originators of this delicious dessert. Located in the French Quarter, it's easy to walk to from any hotel in that area. If you are further away, taxis and Ubers/Lifts know the way. Enjoy!

This place is nice, but it's missing some character to really feel upscale. The service was pretty hit or miss. They were prepping for a private event, which is understandable, but it felt like guests who were already there weren't the focus. We ordered espresso martinis, and they came out looking clear and didn't taste right. When we asked the bartender, he admitted the espresso machine wasn't on yet, so he just skipped using actual espresso. He did remake them, but for $50 (with tip for two drinks), it would have been nice to know that upfront. We originally sat outside, but someone came out with a leaf blower. I have severe grass allergies, so I just asked if they could hold on for one minute so I could take my drink inside. I wasn't asking them to stop, just for a quick second to move. The chef training the employee on the blower wouldn't even look at me and basically told me to be quiet, saying he wasn't talking to me. It was unnecessary and honestly threw me off. He did come up about 20 minutes later to apologize, which I appreciated, but the way he handled it at the moment wasn't great. It's a nice space, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. Hopefully, they work on some basic guest service because the experience definitely could have been better.
