Great playground set with two different age group spots. There are a lot of trees so it's a shady but the water also does not evaporate.

This park is hidden away and I don't think a lot of people know about it. It is bigger than I expected and has lots of places to explore. There is a playground and I've seen people fish here as well. It has connected waterways (similar to City Park) and connected "islands" you can walk on. There are picnic tables and benches scattered throughout and plenty of space. There are also (I think unmarked) trails that go through dense tree areas although I haven't explore those yet. If you live nearby or on the Westbank is it worth checking out Something to note is you have to pay to get in. I believe it 50 cents on week days and $1 omg he weekends. It is closed on Wednesdays too. They do have park hours so check that before you visit.

Stopped here today to walk our dog. They charge a buck per car to enter on weekends, and .50 cents on week days. The park itself is very creepy in the Fall. Everything is overgrown with vines. What isn't covered by vines are the innumerable Fire Ant colonies. They are EVERYWHERE. One was the width of a car. Speaking of cars, if you have a low slung car, don't attempt to go to this park. The road going TO the park is horrible and the speed-bumps in the car have no hump to them. They are almost round and will shake your teeth out of your head.Speaking of rattling teeth, this park has a bunch of winding paths that just scream Haunted house. Whoever is in charge of the park is missing a great opportunity to host a haunted forest here. We joked that they should have pirate skeletons and witches all through the paths. There are even some clearing that would be perfect for setting up different stages for monsters and such to play out horror skits.Speaking of horror skits, while walking through one part, we stumbled on a cooler, some site photos and some fake concrete walls. When we turned around, we saw that some film crew had set up a mausoleum, some gargoyles and a few other statues etc back off a path. Of course we took pictures. The stuff really looked like it had been there forever. These tv guys know their stuff...they even had the ever-present vines covering them all up. It was trippy. It really tripped the Girly out because the one of the names on the crypt was her maiden name. Turns out, they are filming "The Magicians" there in a few days. Speaking of Magicians, I'm out.*cue poof of smoke and a big TaaaaDaaaa!*
