It's been a while since I've had a dining experience that left me speechless and overwhelmed (in a good way). However, Brasa provided that wow-factor for me! This is a quaint restaurant with friendly servers and amazing food. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Zariah to be my server at any place; she was attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the menu! Not to mention, she is also very kind.Drinks: I had the "porn star" (yes, that's really the name); in fact, I may have had a few. This drink is very unique with passion fruit boba and a shot of cava. This is the type of drink you just have to taste for yourself because words do not do it quite enough justice. Easily the best and most unique cocktail I've had.Food: started with the avocado asada as an appetizer-- 10/10!! Very light yet flavorful. It was absolutely perfect. It could truly be a standalone light lunch item; it's not heavy at all yet still packed with flavor. For an entree, we split the Picanha. It was flavorful but a bittttt overly fatty in my opinion. The cut was great and well cooked, but if some of the fat were taken off, it would have been perfect. It was topped with crab meat which made it even better!Sides: this was the BEST broccolini I've ever had! The sauce and flavor were outstanding, to the point it would make you almost want to lick the plate! We also had the "aligot" silky mashed potatoes which were really good as well. This is a beautiful restaurant with the food to back it up. I can't wait to return!

Overall everything was just fine but based on how the restaurant tries to present itself and at those prices, 'Fine' is a disappointment. It's needs to be incredible and it's far from it. The ambiance is nice. It's comfortable and inviting. We had drinks at the bar and the bartender was very nice and helpful and made a good drink. Overall I'd say all the servers were pleasant and attentive but they were a little cumbersome. Our server was very nice but wasn't able to answer questions confidently about the menu. Not helpful. Service was also awkward during the meal. They would remove silverware that was still needed and then replace it. Remove salads forks when a salad was coming etc. It felt like they we doing things at random to appear as if they are a high end restaurant but ultimately didn't seem to know what they were doing. And example, I was asked if I wanted more water. Never ask that just fill the glasses as they get low. As for the food it was again fine. A lot of fancy South American names for what were fairly regular items. The beet salad was good. The sides were serviceable but not memorable. Lastly the steaks were for the most part cooked well and tasted good but again quite priceyFor just a basic steakhouse steak. I'd try them again to see if this day was just an anomaly but as of not I can't really Recommend to others when there are dozens of other choices in the city.

Phenomenal dining experience. Was visiting New Orleans for the big game weekend and had a chance to dine at Brasa. The food was amazing. This is not your traditional steakhouse, this is a South American steakhouse, the types of meat you find in Brazil and Argentina. They are known for their wide variety and exceptional cuts of meat. And the way they cook their meat is unique to South American traditions. We had a big group so we had a chance to try different menu items. We started out with the traditional bread rolls which were good. We loved the wagyu empanadas and the short rib macaroni and cheese. We also really enjoyed the Caesar salad, but full disclosure it comes with real anchovies on top so if you aren't a fan I would ask for them to be left off. Our favorite cut of steak was the Picanha. And don't skip the chimichurri, it was incredible

The best service I received while in New Orleans for an extended stay. Sure, my associates may have overhyped it a tiny bit, as their wagyu empanadas, while good, were not "mind-blowing", but alas, the entire meal was first-rate. My whitefish was cooked well but precarious with the amount of bones to extract.

Brasa has great food plus drinks! I typically stop in to grab drinks and small bites - I love the carrots and sliders. Always getting my special drinks which the bartenders take great care. Shoutout to Luke and Memo!! I hate John had left, he was the previous manager and greeted customers w| a smile. I absolutely love the ambiance! I love the additional room overlooking Canal Street. The location is a plus, located in the old Morton's Steak House in Canal Place. 10/10 recommend!

TL;DR - for the money I wanted more. We were excited to try this place after some other locals recommended it last weekend. The vibe inside is nice. A bit swanky in a good way, other than the freaking plant that kept getting caught in my hair. The food was ok but not amazing and for the $$$ we spent I just wanted it to taste next level. Salads and sides were good, but we voted the steak wasn't as good as other places we've had. Staff was nice and attentive. They do validate if you park in P400. Unfortunately Resy didn't message this at all so we parked somewhere else and had to pay.

I know it's cliche, but if I could offer more than 5 stars for this restaurant, I absolutely would. I got the Lomo Fino, and my significant other got the Ojode Bife. Both were perfectly cooked, juicy, and the crust was the cherry on top for each steak. We also supplemented with the Al Gratin potatoes (highly recommend) and broccolini. What really made the restaurant worth it, though, was the waiter we had. I feel terrible as his name escapes me as I write this, but wow. Absolutely charming, charismatic, no attempt to pressure or oversell, just great recommendations that clearly made our meal so enjoyable. This was a memorable experience, and when I'm back in New Orleans, I'll surely be back here.

This meal blew me away. Everything from the decor to the service to the food was excellent! I love how bright it is inside compared to your typical steakhouse. We used to go when it was Morton's, and I think they did such a great job updating the design. We parked in canal place and got validated which the hostess made super easy. We started with the bread which was amazing! I also really enjoyed the pornstar martini. It's interactive and tasty! The empanadas are 100/10 - must order! And the sauce that came with it was so good.. I kept it for dipping later in the meal. We ordered the picana and the filet. Both were cooked perfectly. The filet was just a little better. We also tried the carrots with goat cheese and the mashed potatoes. Only complaint is that the potatoes were described as silky, and they were more on the chunky side but really delicious either way. Def in my top 3 steak houses in the city now!

I went back again to decide where the first time was a fluke. But, unfortunately it's still just an okay place to me. This time I ordered the Caesar salad which was different. The presentation was nice but it didn't quite taste like a Caesar to me. Judging as a Caesar I'd give 5/10 but as just a salad it would be 7.5/10. The truffle fries were perfectly cooked and the aioli was tasty. I got the entrana steak this time and it was just okay. My husband got the rib eye and it was also just okay, lacking in seasoning/flavor. The mashed potatoes were excellent and cheesy and the short rib macaroni was better and more meaty this time. But, overall it's just not a place I think I'll be going back to.

I visited during Superbowl weekend and had a wonderful experience! The restaurant itself is very beautiful and the staff was very welcoming and attentive despite the restaurant being so busy. We initially came for happy hour and had a great time chatting with the bar staff, The hosts were kind enough to accommodate our request for a table after enjoying happy hour at the bar. Elijah was our server and he was extremely knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure. Overall the quality of the food and the incredible service justify the prices. I will be back soon!
