I visited this bar for a nightcap. Located on historic Magazine St. gives it a gold star in my book. The bar is quaint, cozy and intimate. It lends itself to engaging conversations and a relaxing evening.Until next time!

On a stroll through the charming streets of New Orleans' Garden District, we found our way to Bouligny Tavern, an awesome spot in an elegant mid-century modern building on Magazine Street. Opened in 2010, Bouligny Tavern is named after one of the first Creole plantations in the area. After admiring the historic mansions and lush oak trees on our walk, this spot was the perfect place to grab a drink. The atmosphere is sleek with dim lighting. I was in the mood for an Old Fashioned, and their fig variation was a great change up. Our bartender was equally fantastic--attentive and knowledgeable on bourbons. If you're in the Garden District, check this spot out. We just had a drink but they serve food as well.

First time here for a private event. Not my usual side of town, nor haunt as I totally missed it and had to circle back to find it. The staff was EXCELLENT. Friendly and super accommodating to a large group of wine laden women, they were approachable and kept our glasses refreshed. The space was nice-felt vintage like a swanky cocktail lounge with group seating or banquet seating. The lights flickered a lot, maybe a ghost-or just uptown but I really enjoyed my time feeling elegant for an evening!

Had a very nice dinner here recently. All of the food was delicious, especially the panzanella salad and beef bruschetta. I could have skilled the Gougères only because they were somewhat plain compared to everything else. We got to sit on the front porch which was perfect with the heat lamp next to us. Would definitely come back next time I'm in New Orleans.

I Work a blockAway and got treated with such disrespect from ANDREA the bartender. Simply by asking if they have a house cab- no problem- I said- just give me a glass of whatever red you have. I was a single woman sitting at the bar- and that def made her angry. I am a bartender as well and can't believe the way I was treated. I love this place- love the Jamon Serrano, burgers, Andrea- needs training - it was beyond rude and disgusting service

Substituted the mezcal for another type of tequila & it was even better. Major thanks to the barkeep for letting me experiment! A delightful visit.

Just happened to visit this tavern on the night when a random storm dampened the city. They lost power in the restaurant and it suddenly felt like a party. The service was friendly and prompt. My shrimp roll was excellent. A friend ordered some fries that were cooked to perfection. Despite the dark, stormy few minutes we endured, it was a great night in the tavern.

Love this place on Magazine Street! Best craft cocktails, great apps and the best part is they play vinyls all night long. The Negroni was delicious and so were the appetizers (wings, devil eggs, crab claws). I usually sit at the bar and service is always good. Love the vibes for sure.

Love love love this place. Vibe and ambiance are on point for what I want in the evening-low lighting, small intimate areas, beautiful place.Service was attentive and the servers were very personable, drinks delivered pretty quickly.Drinks were awesome. My favorite dirty martini in town, with house-stuffed blue cheese olives that will make you keep ordering more! All the other drinks we had were complex and lively as well. They have food too which looked and smelled amazing, though we didn't eat this time.Plan to be back soon!

A group of myself and some others headed in here for a drink and some appetizers. We were kicked out of the restaurant as a whole because one of us did not have an ID as her wallet was stolen earlier that same day. We are college alumni who have been to multiple different restaurants on Magazine and never had an issue. We are not underage and aside from her, every single one of us showed a valid ID. The staff was extremely rude and we were kicked out of the tavern. Extremely disappointed.
