Very nice event space with tasty food and good service. Over the years I have attended weddings, conferences, trainings, and awards banquets at this hall and always had a good experience. The space is versatile and has a decent amount of parking.

Boudreaux's is a large banquet facility located on Government Street near downtown Baton Rouge. Recently I attended a luncheon held here. I didn't have anything to do with the luncheon other than attending, so this a review of the service and facility as an attendee. As you enter there are two large areas with couches and chairs. There is a large ball room to the right, which for this event, was set for 200 people. The staff were professional and attentive. For this event we had a boneless pork chop, sweet potatoes and green beans. The food was good considering all 200 people were served at the same time. This venue is a nice space. There is a parking lot outside, but it looks like the facility will hold more people than the lot. In addition to being a nice banquet hall, I would imagine this would be a good venue for a wedding reception.

Boudreaux's Catering on government st. is a family owned tradition with amazing food. You can't go wrong having your wedding, special event or even brunch at this venue. Not only do they have an amazingly lavish and rich decor, but they are known for there rich Louisiana cuisines.

"A beautiful venue for a special event". This was my second time within two week's time that I was able to attend an event at this venue. I have never been during any other time of the year, but was so happy to go during the holiday season because it was so lavishly decorated for Christmas... bright lights, faux-snow covered Christmas trees and an exquisite fireplace. My family was so honored to be invited to a family friend's wedding here - ceremony and reception. The ceremony was perfectly, after the ceremony the bar opened up along with the hors d'oeuvres station then the dining room opened up for dinner seating. Although it was not dinner, but an extensive array of scrumptious Southern-style appetizers... it veered away from a boring dinner of potentially rubbery chicken or a bland piece of steak. There were meat pies, meatballs, a mashed potato station, flank steak strips station, shrimp and more. My only complaint was that the food did not come out fast enough and the lines got long that by the time it was our turn to get food, some of the favorites were gone and it took them a hot minute to replenish. The flank steak station was interesting for they had an electric skillet out to cook the steak right then and there and the was peculiar because the skillet was having issues, when I went to get my food. Oh well... I was not about to let any of this ruin such an amazing evening. This appears to be a family-run establishment and they worked hard to make this an phenomenal event for the couple and their guests.I look forward to attending another event here. If you are looking for a beautiful venue to host a wedding, anniversary, retirement or office party this is a great place for it! Everything will be taken care of here!

"Perfect event space to host your special day". Bordeaux's hosted a wedding of some friends of mine and I'm sure they couldn't have been much happier with the way things turned out. Large even space to house at least 200 guest with still room to spare for a dance floor. Georgeous decorations that added an elegant backdrop for the evening. Nice waiting area to allow guest to mingle and enjoy light refreshments and drinks while they transformed the area for the reception. The food. OMG. Was amazing. Tons of fried southern bites from chicken, fish, boudin balls, meat pies and meatballs. While there was a buffet in the middle of the floor with pasta, shrimp salad, spinach dip, and cheese and fruit. The waitstaff and bartenders we pleasant and very friendly. Private parking was an added bonus. And the location is not too far from the downtown Baton Rouge area where there's tons of hotels for wedding guest to stay if from out of town. Simply amazing!

Just came back from their Thanksgiving buffet, and I'm extremely disappointed. I had never been there before, and when I walked in I was very impressed; it was beautifully decorated and there was a jazz band playing. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. We were shown to our table, where we waited... and waited... and waited for a server to come. Finally we flagged down a woman (one of the managers, I think) and asked her who our server was. She said, "What do you need? I'll get it." We told her what drinks we wanted, and she scurried off. We waited about 5 minutes, and she never came back. Then I looked up, and noticed her back at the front desk, assisting other people. She had completely forgotten about the drinks. Finally I asked one of the male waiters if he could get our drinks, and he obliged. In the meantime, I went up to get my food, starting with the appetizers table. Smoked salmon? Out. Boiled shrimp? Out. I settled for some pecans and various cheeses. Then I went to get some soup... never mind, no soup bowls. Another woman told a different manager that they were out of soup bowls. He went to the back, and returned a minute later with ONE soup bowl which he handed to her. So, I strolled over to the "meats" table, where the prime rib roast was. He asked how I wanted my meat, and I told him, "Medium rare." He replied, "Is medium well OK?" I was like, "Yeah, I guess, if that's all you've got." His reply was, "They really need to bring out another one of these things (roasts) -- I've been cutting this same one since I got here, and it's overcooked. They're trying to make it last, but people eat more than this in 90 minutes." When even your employees are admitting that they're trying to stretch things out for as long as possible before refilling/replacing food, that's a sure sign that I chose poorly. I don't know how the catering is, or how they are at any other time of the year, but their Thanksgiving buffet was plain terrible.

I went here the other night for a wedding ceremony/reception. It was the day after Thanksgiving, and Boudreaux's was decorated for Christmas. It was absolutely beautiful. The food was bomb for wedding food. Fried ravioli, fried catfish, the best fried chicken, boudin balls, etc. were on a buffet line. They also had stations set up for flank steak and shrimp (or pork) and grits. The staff seemed nice and accommodating. Overall, I had a great time as a guest at the wedding.

Boudreaux's is a time-honored tradition as an excellent catering venue. Their food is excellent, embracing many aspects of local flavor, and presented in a very classy style. They recently began a Sunday Brunch service open to the public which, to no surprise to me, is a real class act, and is truly the best Sunday Brunch in all of Baton Rouge! The grits bar with its delicious toppings such as Beef Bourguignon and Spicy Cream Shrimp is a real highlight of the extensive buffet. Don't forget bottomless Mimosas/Bloody Marys/Screwdrivers for only $10. You won't be disappointed.

Was invited to a wedding my friend was having. I have been looking for a reception hall for my own wedding, well I found it. Fabulous food and service. Clean, elegant and courteous. I was blown away with the tai bar and grits bar. Jeanine walked me step by step with everything involved. Huge selection to tailor your needs. Can't wait for my wedding!!
