If you're looking for a shop that reminds you of the ones in Acadiana, look no further than Boudreaux's. I guess you could say that Cajun food and cooking are in my blood. As a child growing up in New Orleans I remember by grandfather from New Iberia coming to visit frequently. I have a lot of fond memories from his visits, but one of the things I remember is applicable to this review. Whenever he would arrive he would have several gifts for the family. I'm not talking about traditional gifts either. He would bring several packs of boudin and hogs head cheese from a local New Iberia shop. That must have had a lasting effect, because since then, I am on a never ending quest for good boudin and head cheese. I was on such a quest just the other day when I noticed Boudreaux's. The moment I walked in, I knew I was in the right place. There were coolers filled with stuffed chickens, roasts, pork loins, gumbo, étouffée and all other sorts of Cajun delights. In the fresh counter is where I focused my attention and will elaborate on a few items. Boudin - fresh, homemade and with the perfect combination of meat and rice. It had a slight kick, but not to overwhelming. Stuffed chicken thighs - stuffed with jalapeño cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. $375 for around 30 minutes covered and 20 uncovered. Oh my goodness gracious was this delicious. Even if you don't normally like thighs, I strongly recommend this item. Smoked boudin - I don't remember smoked boudin when I was growing up, but what a great idea. Boudreaux's version was perfect. Smoked sausage with pepper jack cheese - whatever you do, but some of this sausage. The sausage is made and smoked in house and this is, without a doubt, the best smoked sausage I've ever had. I don't know how it hod hold up in gumbo or some other dish, but it is amazing on its own. The people working behind the counter were friendly and very helpful. If you're like me and miss the Cajun butcher shops of Acadiana, I recommend you take a trip to Boudreaux's.

I found this place on Yelp and called ahead because they were closing in 10 mins and the GPS said I was 10 minutes away. The young man who waited on me did a fantastic job and the food was great! We ordered boudin balls, plain and smoked boudin, and meat pies. I bought enough to feed 8 ppl and we all enjoyed it and had left overs.

This place has the best boudin I've ever had. I went there Monday (2.27.17) and wanted pork crackin and boudin. All I have to say is I wasn't disappointed. Great service and food. I will be back.

Stopped by there today to grab some lunch and cracklins for my hubby. While the pulled pork was great, the cracklins, not so much. Must have been an off day for them. They were severely overcooked and not seasoned. However, my dogs didn't mind one bit. But most of the time, it's a great place to stop when you are craving cracklins or a specialty Cajun meat.

This place is great. They have a great staff and a great selection of Cajun meats and favorites. I highly recommend the stuffed boudin pork tenderloin, and filets. Really good quality meats and poultry. I'm not a fan of cracklins in general but my wife loves them and gets them here regularly. They also have something they call a goosey cake which is really awesome. It's best described as a cheesecake brownie. Only down side is the price point. It's the only Cajun meat market in the area so the price point is a little high but it saves me the trip to the city.

Husband loves this place. Seems to always be fresh. Have lunch specials. People seem nice and food has been good so far. Its completely take out, platters and etc. Not somewhere you go every day but for an occasional cajun craving.

One of the best meat markets for specialty meats I've tried. Their cracklin is amazing. The stuffed boneless chicken is SSSOOOO good. And the staff is very friendly and helpful! You can't go wrong!

The cracklins and boudin is good for this area. Staff is friendly but not very knowledgeable. I asked a question about the marinade and no one had a clue about the taste. I also asked if they could hand cut a steak without the marinade and that was a fiasco. Staff was not sure how to price that or if it could be done.
