Love their fried shrimp on their shrimp poboys. Still under ten bucks for a poboy and a drink.

The food was really good. We got the 4 piece fried chicken dinner that comes with one roll and fries. The chicken was very crispy and juicy. The roll and fries were really good, all was very fresh. You can order boudin by the pound here in mild or spicy. We got an order of 3 boudin balls, which were very good but apparently they sell out typically before noon. The service was good. It is a very homey place that isn't intimidating at all. The menu is simple and easy to read. I will say it seems to be a very straightforward place. Food is served on paper plates and cafeteria style trays so if you're thinking fancy then this isn't for you.

We stopped for a quick dinner. Steve saw a sign with this place. The only thing low carb is salad so I guess carbs today. I had the catfish plate with okra and Steve picked shrimp with coleslaw. We got the last order of boudin balls (lucky) before they closed. It was pretty quick and very clean. Except for the lettuce someone dropped on the floor. I guess they aren't keto.

Great Cajun food, decent prices, family and friendly atmosphere. Quick service. Kind service.

One of my coworkers recommended this place for me to try there chicken and boudin...dry and no favor is the best way I can describe the chicken!!...and I can tell they gave themselves the name boudin king because if you know Louisiana (Opelousas to Lafayette) you know good boudin!...long story short they should change there name to maybe Boudin Apprentice.

Great service and food was just as I remembered it, very yummy!!!! We had visitors from Hawaii and they ordered boudin to take back with them!

If you're looking for a local place that serves real Louisiana Cajun food, no fuss, no pretense, this is it. We took the time to leave the interstate and drive through town to get here and it met expectations. When you're looking for boudin, good gumbo, and fried okra this does the job. Order at the counter, pick a picnic table and get your food when it's ready. Wouldn't mind bread with an entree, but you can ask for it if you want. And I guess from the other review they probably need to put the "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service - and leave the gun in the car, we're friendly". A lot of places did something like this in the old days, maybe time to bring it back?

Great food hands down !!! Can't go wrong with anything you order....I love the shrimp with fried okra the best ever...

Followed the sign on IH-10 and we are glad we did. The gumbo was great. We had a cup of chicken and sausage and a cup of shrimp gumbo. Yum! We also had a pound of mild boudin. It needed salt but had a great consistency and flavor.
