Blue Ruin Speakeasy

Came here on a late Saturday night and was perfect. The drinks are great, decor is beautiful and staff were really nice and made one of the best oaxacan old fashioneds I've had. It's cozy and they have an outdoor space if you want to enjoy the weather.

It took the bar ten to fifteen minutes to acknowledge my wife and I. It's tucked away near loft18 in old Metairie. The drink was good but the service was last luster.

Met some of my friends here for a Saturday night get together and this place is so cute!! They don't serve food but their drinks are priced well and they have a good wine list. I got a glass of Chardonnay for $8 and they have heavy pours. The interior is super cute and fresh looking, on the smaller side side wise but a great place to have a drink and catch up with friends. They have an outdoor area with benches and TVs inside by the bar and in the space in between the inside and outside. Bartender was very pleasant- would definitely recommend and come back!

Neat little spot. Good drinks, a bit pricey and crowded which kinda killed the speakeasy vibe. I wish the space was a little bigger and had seperate areas for a better setting.

Very cool atmosphere. Loved the chandelier. Specialty drinks at a reasonable price. They make an excellent espresso martini! Was a fun after dinner spot.

My friend and I were excited to try a new place only to find that the service and the drinks here were pretty awful. My cheeriness was constantly met with a bothered attitude from the bartender. My drinks were watery and half the amount of what you'd expect. The parking is confusing and limited. The inside felt like a library. Despite the number of people occupying the space, it was eerily quiet. There was no music, not even a hum, to set the ambience. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this spot.

This has become our favorite before dinner cocktail spot. Delicious cocktails, comfortable surroundings, and very knowledgeable bartenders. The specialty cocktails change often, and all have been delicious and creative

The ambiance, the drinks, the service, I can't say enough good things about this little place. I've been going to blue ruin since it opened and will continue to be a loyal patron

This place is so cute on the inside and the ambiance is nice. I really like their cocktail menus and their outside seating too! The service was good, as quick as it could be with only a few bartenders and a packed house. Definitely want to go back!

had high expectations, odd location and the bar setting was ok. they do serve drinks in pretty glasses. Pricey , and tasted fine. It was ok
