Blue Room

Are you into spaces with that old time Hollywood charm and feel? Do you like dressing up? Do you like elegance? Well, then the Blue Room is the place for you!I was recently here for the Stormin' of the Sazerac annual event and the room was beautifully decorated and made to feel like the 40's. The decor is lovely and being here just makes you feel as if you have stepped back in time. I can only imagine the history that this room holds. The room is so big that it would be perfect for any party or wedding reception. The staff is friendly and attentive and meets every possible need. There is also a lovely stage area that is perfect for a band and a big floor that was made for dancing the night away.

The Blue Room has a history of hosting great events since the 1930s when performances from the likes Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles would perform. Now the Roosevelt Hotel uses this space mainly as an event venue. I attended a really great wedding reception here and the food and entertainment were all quite nice and the elegant setting made for a fantastic experience. This is certainly a great space for any event and the historic stage is ready for live music so maybe they will bring the 1930's back again eventually with a more consistent music schedule.

Wedding planning made easy! I have heard how stressful wedding planning can be. We have Earl from The Roosevelt helping us, and there has been NO STRESS AT ALL. He takes care of everything and even scheduled a food tasting for all of the food to be served at the reception. Chef Ryan prepared a wonderful spread for us, and then came out to speak with us about what we liked and if we wanted anything changed. Earl returns phone calls and emails within a short period of time and is always patient and kind. He has walked us through step by step. We are looking forward to our daughter's wedding.
