Big O’s Original Pops

After a nice dinner at nearby Sneaky Pickle, my party of four walked a few blocks to Big O's Original Pops, an artisanal popsicle shop inside Beanlandia. The woman working the popsicle counter was very friendly and guided us through the large menu of cream and fruit popsicles. Some flavors are in full size for $4 and others are mini (half the size of the regular) for $2. I enjoyed the mini hazelnut fudge popsicle and my seven-year-old daughter enjoyed the strawberry lemonade one. There's an outdoor patio guests are welcome to, but there aren't restrooms. Also, payment is through Venmo, Cash App, Paypal, etc.

This afternoon, we dropped into Beanladia, and found my favorite popsicle spot - Big O's!!I had the spicy mango popsicle and OMG, my mouth exploded with the sweetness of mango and a slight spice kick. I normally go for my fave watermelon with basil, but I am so glad I went for this one today.So sorry, no pics for this review....we finished them before I remembered to get a pic!!! Next time....If you've never had a pop from Big O's, you haven't had a popsicle!! Seriously, go get one NOW!! You will thank me for this tip, I PROMISE!

Super cute spot, especially if you want a tasty treat and you're tired of the same old snowball.Big O's pushes their pops all over town, but right now you can get one at the popsicle doorbell at 3510 Royal St. Just ring the bell most days between 2 pm and 8 pm and the awesome owner Jesse will take your order and bring your wrapped popsicle to you promptly. Pay with Venmo for a completely touch-free experience.I got the blueberry mango cream and the watermelon basil lemonade. The cream pop was smooth and rich just like yummy ice cream and the watermelon basil lemonade was crisp and tasty. All of the pops are made with fresh ingredients and the taste proves it.I'll definitely be visiting again soon!

Really good popsicles! I had the creamy mango papaya and it was pretty good. I didn't realize it would be yogurt for some reason? So it definitely made me more thirsty than refreshing but it was still tasty. I also tried the pineapple ginger and that was AMAZING! 10/10. $3 a pop, doggy items, drinks and boozy pops also for sale. Off street parking for those who get stressed overParking like me. Definitely check em out!!!

I will be back! I got the peanut butter and butterfinger popsicle! It was tasty but there was a little bit of a sourish flavor to it maybe from the diary...I will have to try some others and update my review. It is such a great addition and much needed in the bywater! A great desert place after pizza d. It is super cute too! A great date night idea or just a tasty treat for a warm day! The popsicles are 3$ and you can pay with Venmo for atouchless experience.

Amazing popsicles in the Bywater! Ring the "popsicle doorbell" and you'll be welcomed by friendly popsicle ~artisans~. And the colorful fence across the street makes for a great photo opp!

Just left and I already want to go back. I was so excited by the menu that I ordered randomly. I had the Vietnamese Coffee and tasted my daughter's cookies and cream. Both DELICIOUS. Paid via venmo. My tummy is so happy right now.

Big O Pops is our hero for their handling of a special request in August!We wanted to send a special treat to our friends at the JW Marriott in New Orleans. We kept checking various delivery places but each time we met with an issue - hotel employees don't have much "downtime", so we needed something that was individual servings and didn't require a lot of prep. Big O Pops to the rescue!We reached out on the web site but needed to discuss special handling with someone. Within minutes, Jesse was in touch with us and provided us with price and delivery info. We were so pleased with the price and Jesse's handling, we increased our order.Feedback we received from our JW friends was amazing! They were thrilled with all the different flavors of pops and the Managers appreciated the individual treats. We'll be using Big O Pops for future Thank You events in the New Orleans area.
