Bicycle Michael's

Wanted to give a huge kudos to Bicycle Michael's. Went into the store and was surprised at all of the items they have, floor to ceiling! If you don't see something ask! Staff was super helpful and had everything I was looking for much to my wallets dismay. Prices were fair and besides the jacket, shirts (x3), and a jersey. Almost rented a bike but ran out of time. As a disclaimer my name is also Michael so that did influence some of my buying. Jacket/Huddie is light weight and the material is very good. I wear it all day. Not ideal for super cold but for mild cool weather it is awesome. I like the card logo on the back as well.Jersey has New Orleans main attractions which is cool if you know the places but I think for my preference I would have preferred more of a bike logo or New Orleans in bold print so people know. Wear the jersey on all my rides and can say it is very comfortable and holds up well.Shorts are like the jacket, love them and giving as gifts.Bike rental: super fair price and they had several recommendations on where to ride. I just ran out of time and my wife doesn't ride so will attempt it on my next trip out there whenever that may be.Staff: super helpful and humorous, wife who doesn't ride came out of the shop with things to see and do.* At night time this street is also a local's hangout. Very lively and good place if you want to get away from the tourist traps. Very busy though and packed with people because it is still advertised however it is off the beaten path so you don't run into anyone trying to sell you free beads.

What a find! Experienced bike shop conveniently located. Plus, loved the shop dogs. Went there multiple times during our lovely week in NOLA

Best bike shop in the downtown area! I needed a minor repair on my bike so stopped in to see the team at Michael's. Being the Thursday before Mardi Gras I knew my chances of getting in and out quickly were nil, but they told me to bring it in and they'd see what they could do. I was fully expecting to hear from them next week at the soonest, but got a text today (24 hours later) letting me know that it was finished and ready go.Picked my bike up a few minutes later, repaired, tuned up and ready to ride. Very fair pricing, too. I highly recommend Bicycle Michael's whether you're in the market for a new bike (regular or electronic) or a repair. They have free air and all the accessories you need to make biking safe and fun, too.

Bicycle Michaels is overpriced but very competent in all things that are bike related. They Re likely the most competent bike shop in New Orleans and located just off the Quarter on Frenchman St.

Huge shout out to this team! I bought a Jamis bike from them 2 years ago and have received nothing but FIVE STAR service from them. They will go above and beyond to explain everything to you about your service and are always fast and efficient!

Got a tire from them that was defective and they switched it out for me. I explained that my bike is my only mode of transportation and they switched it on the spot. Always awesome when a place stands by their products and their doggos were dope too. Thx guys.

Michael's saved our day when we needed repair on a Sunday afternoon. Fast, friendly service at a reasonable price! Bikes, parts, expertise - they have it!

Absolutely the best service imaginable. We have a second home in New Orleans that we visit often and ride older "beater" bikes while we are there. Of course these bikes need alot of TLC. We have brought them to Bicycle Michael's whenever we have a problem and they always fix the problem at a very reasonable cost and very quickly. Michael and his staff are kind and do a great job explaining the work that needs to be done and are fine trying to fit in the work within our budget. Just the best. Do not hesitate to use them for work needed on your bike or to purchase a wide array of bike equipment.
