I love a good sports bar, let alone bar food. Give me some good American fried food with a cold beer and I'm in ! This place is exactly that. They have plenty of TV's to keep up with your sports team and a good mouthwatering menu to choose from! The service was extremely tentative and kept the drinks coming ! We ordered only their meat pies during this visit and they were SO delicious! A little kick of spice with them but very good! Highly recommend coming here rather it just be for drinks or to enjoy some delicious food from their menu as well, either way you can't go wrong with stopping by here!

Went there to watch a Saints came & I can dig the atmosphere! The food was good af! The drinks were strong & good..they have a cheesecake egg roll with some friends had, they said it was super good! I had the cheesesteak eggroll with spicy ranch OMG!! They have a Tiger Tea which was pretty good. Strawberry margarita was very sour, I'm nnot use to that..On game days when LSU or Saints make a touchdown they give out free Fireball shots..overall I liked the place, definitely would go again! Inside & outside seating with tvs outside as well!

If you're looking for a sports bar in downtown BR, I highly recommend. Great vibes, bartenders and burgers. Huge LSU and Saints fan base...I'll be back soon!

This place is DEFINITELY NOT my go to! Bar staff is terrible. Feeding their own faces and chatting amongst each other instead of attending to customers sitting RIGHT in front of them. 4 customers versus 4 bar staff and NOT ONE of them asked how our food was or if we needed anything after our food was delivered. I finally got the attention of the female who was vaping. Meat pies BURNT, French dip was ALL bread. ONLY 2 STARS for the beer.

I live downtown and it's sad that this is our best dive bar to grab a beer and food. The bartenders are amazing and they have a lot of beers on tap. However, you can tell all of the food comes out of the frozen section of Costco. We're in Louisiana everyone can tell when you half ass a food menu. Do better guys.

I loved Bengal Tap Room! A great bar, not too much going on to feel unsafe, but still a great place to go as a young person in BR. It's not stuffy, and you'll find people of all ages having conversations over great music choices. My moscow mule was delicious and the bartender was super nice which made me want to come back another day.

Killer happy hour and great service. Ashley and Sean were awesome. Thanks @ChrisFarr for the recommendation. Next time we're in Baton Rouge we will be back for cheese fries and cheap beers. Cheers!

It's should be simple. It's a bar. I just need decent bar food. I wanted to settle in. I wanted this to be the spot to watch football. The wings were underdone. I finished one beer, paid, and left. Wings went unfinished. Be better...just a little.

Let's start with the FREE brunch they do on Sunday mornings. Now, I'm not sure if this is an every week thing, but we went to watch a soccer match. The brunch had everything from eggs to biscuits to sausage to hash browns, and it was really great. Throw on top of that some really well made bloody mary drinks at an awesome price, or mimosas or a few other cocktails, and you have a great morning! The next experience to talk about is when we headed over there after a good night at the HRC - our run club down the street. Service was amazing and super friendly, and the variety of beer was vast. They have a rotating special burger each week. I can't remember exactly what the burger was, but i went with the regular burger. ((This week was a bacon and brie burger - man, I wish I could have made it downtown for that!)) Finally, we went there on a quiet Saturday afternoon, before the business of the evening began. We were pleased with the sandwiches we got, paid with a nice good ole Jucifer. Perfect before a good stroll downtown.All in all, Bengal Tap Room is a refreshing addition to downtown.

February 2021 updated review. A 4% debit or credit card surcharge fee?! If you are going to impose a specific fee then at least let the customer know ahead of time! Until this fee changes, we won't be back. I would've paid cash if you gave a heads-up.We do like when Colette is working. She's a cutie.
