Exceeded expectations! I can't say enough about the accommodating staff, from beginning to end. Nicole's guidance throughout, Donna the wedding attendant, the bar tender, everyone. The food was delicious! Highly recommend.

Well I did not expect to give this place 5 stars but they exceeded my expectations. Everything was great! Especially the food and service. I had a sit down wedding for 60 people. Filet and shrimp were cooked perfectly! Everyone of my guests commented on how great it was. Special thanks to Nicole and Donna who took great care of us.

I wanted to do something very special and upscale for my future daughter-in-law. So, I met Shirley at my home and we discussed, a Shower /Champagne Brunch! It was gorgeous! She helped me select the menu and we decided to have her staff cook and serve my guests! It was perfect ! I was very impressed, as well as, my guests. The food was perfection! Shirley and her crew are the sweetest and most loving group. We had my daughter's bridal shower at Benedicts and this location is so beautiful! I would recommend this location for any special event. The food was amazing

We had our wedding here a few weeks ago and I am so pleased and thankful for the wonderful experience. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service were all top notch. Ms. Shirley and her staff are very dedicated and professional. I must give a shout-out to Donna who was my bridal attendant - I didn't realize how much I would need her, she must be a mind reader because she knew exactly what I needed before I could even ask. She is truly a blessing to Benedict's. All of our guests were very impressed - as we were! Please take any negative reviews during this time of Covid with a grain of salt. Many venues are suffering terribly with last minute cancellations, giving them no time to reschedule new events to stay a float - Benedict's, for instance, worked with us greatly to provide a safe and lovely wedding within these times.

Benedict's did such an amazing job helping us to make our daughter's wedding special. The venue was great, the food was wonderful, and the service remarkable. They even took care of the rehearsal dinner and a bridal lunch!! Thank you to all of the staff for your attentiveness.

We were married at Benedict's last Saturday and it was absolutely perfect!! We had a few issues occur outside of our control, but Donna and Nicole managed to make everything go so smoothly. The venue was beautiful, the food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. I can never thank our Bridal Attendant Donna enough for keeping a frantic bride calm and reassured. All of my guests were complimentary. Thank you so much Nicole and Donna for all of your hard work. I will recommend this venue and your services to everyone!

We moved our venue from New Orleans to Mandeville 2 months prior to our wedding date because of the Covid-19 regulations in Orleans Parish. In the beginning, working with Lauren at Benedict's was a dream. We selected our menu and signed the contract. The actual wedding itself was phenomenal--we had a great time and our band kept the party going. However, there were quite a few setbacks. My dress was bustled incorrectly the whole night. After them working on it for 15 minutes we decided it wasn't worth wasting our reception time on. This is something that a wedding venue should have under control. Several people after the wedding stated that they had to go hunt down both the wedding and grooms cake. We had a bubbly bar and hand passed Bloody Mary's on our contract--neither of which we had at the wedding. We were supposed to have sliders and fries handed out at the end of our wedding--we, the bride and groom, never received one. We both ended up going to the bar several times to get our drinks because our person assigned to take care of us was MIA 80% of the night. Both of our parents were fending for themselves as well as they were assigned the same individual as us. When my mom called to inquire about this on Monday she spoke to Lauren about it. Lauren called myself, the bride, and got my side as well. After not hearing back, we called again on Wednesday and discussed the same issues with Lauren and how poor the service was. When we brought up the passed Bloody Mary's, she said "we even bought the bacon salt rim for it." That doesn't mean that they were made and served unfortunately. My mom then wanted to speak to Shirley, the owner, and they stated that she was in the hospital and that they would leave her a message. Lauren suggested, in the meantime, that we speak to Shirley's daughter, Nicole. She called my mom from her personal cell phone and we were in the car and Nicole didn't even let my mom speak and instead was an irate, unprofessional businesswoman. When my mom spoke of the lack of service that even she got, Nicole then yelled "well I'm sorry that we didn't go tap on your shoulder on the dance floor and get in your face and ask you if you needed anything." From the very start, she immediately went into defense mode, which only proves further the poor service we got. It's a shame because Shirley probably doesn't even know to this day the horrible service experience we had because Nicole is masking it from her mother. Never would we recommend a place operated like this.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is a hit or miss. When they are good, they are very good but when bad they are like burger king on a bad day. I have eaten there 6 times dinners and banqets. So far two outstanding meal (1 was banquet) 2 fair and 2 absolutely terrible for price (1 a dinner). I wish they were consistent. Do try them, but pray they are having a good day. Warning..staff attitude is like French waiters, with truckstop service. I really wish the owner would return it to the honored position it was.
