This store is aware they are the ONLY grocery store in Addis, La. They need to do better, PERIOD! Nice on the outside and that is about it. The inside is old and outdated. Rusting, dusty shelves, damaged floors, and OVERPRICED food. The meat department needs to be condemned! The meat never looks fresh or edible. If you need something from customer service and they are busy doing something else, be prepared to WAIT until they finish what they are doing before you get service. They don't acknowledge you standing there, not even looking up to at least say "I'll be right with you..."

I've given them several chances & I thought things were turning around but things have recently gone downhill fast. We had to sort through a bin a limes to get 3 decent ones, onions were infested with flies, all the refrigerators/freezers were leaking with piles of paper towels on the floors, and I can never count on anything being fresh. I've attached a photo of cheese we bought less than 24 hours ago full of mold growth. This is not uncommon for this grocery store.I've had to explain to a manager what powdered milk is & they are constantly out of basics like almond extract or chicken bouillon. I've also had to alert management of very expired product still on the shelves. I want to support local business but this is ridiculous.

I live right across from Benedetto's so it's very convenient for me to go here. While most of their prices cant compete with Walmart, I enjoy the fact that I don't have to fight traffic to get here. Over the last couple of months the store has made a big improvement. They have moved the register for their dockside services which is great because the store was too cluttered with that on register 5. I have also noticed they have more grocery products that they didn't have before. The deli items, fruit items, and bakery items have improved drastically. With all of the improvements made, I just hope that the consumer don't have to bear too much of the cost.

Prices are a little higher than other nearby grocery stores, but very clean. Good customer service, excellent deli, and party trays.

"Neighborhood market, no frills with o.k. customer service". When I first walked into this store almost 6 years ago, I got stares like I had never seen before. This is situated in a very small town that I was once very new to. Immediately, I knew I was in a town where everybody knew everybody, since I was getting the strange stares, like I have never been seen before... LOL. Some prices here are a little high, make sure to check dates because some things on the shelves are not always checked, since I have seen outdated items. The customer service is just o.k. Once I learned who was nice, I always went to their line and there are some that are a little cranky-pants, so I avoid. Anyway, this grocery store does not have everything, but has the bare necessities. I have seen a lot of the same employees for the last several years, so it is nice to know they have retained their staff... that goes to show for something. I did go in there looking for unique items like tofu and ginger, but did not have it at the time. Recently, I heard they started to carry ginger... will have to see for myself. I go here now, only if I need because it is convenient.

OMG - where to begin. To start I am a firm believer in supporting local businesses and don't mind paying slightly higher prices. I will continue following that philosophy with the exclusion of Benedetto's. I don't know if there has been a management change or if they need a management change. No one can or is willing to help, in Benedetto's ad they had a particular item on sale. After asking two employees if they could help and the second one told me I would have to go up front. A disaster, we went back to the same isle I had been down multiple times and said we don't have it (not that they sold out) then proceeded to tell me the ad come from AG so they don't carry all the items in the ad, really, that was a SMDH response. I said is it possible y'all have some in the back - quick NO, that had restocked today. Brings up my next point - BUYER BEWARE - when they rotate their stock, the large majority of the perishables 'up front' were either already expired or expiring tomorrow. Checkout was another adventure, after ringing up my several hundred dollar purchase, through her smacking gum she said the total, then immediately picked up her phone and started texting. So I just stood there, she said my total again, and I said oh, I thought you were on a break... never again!
