Ben Thanh

This little store is located in the same building as my new favorite Chinese restaurant, Hong Minh,There are a few prepared foods, veggies and staple items. Not much different than any other little Asian market. For selection, you might as well go to Hong Kong, but if you happen to be close by and remember you need some coconut milk, this is an ok stop to make.

This is a small Asian market that has a decent selection of items along with a small hot buffet selection of prepared foods. They have fresh vegetables along with a selection of Asian packaged items. I paid a visit to this place after eating next door so I was already full and didn't get a chance to try any of their prepared food but it did look good. It's definitely not Hong Kong Market but its an interesting place to shop if you need some Asian items most regular grocery stores in the area won't carry.

During a week's stay in the West Bank, I discovered this great family-run Asian market that I visited every day. Perfect for picking up both Asian foods and items of convenience, but also don't forget to check out Ben Thanh's lunch specials. I kept ordering their po'boy because they were so generous with the shrimp, always stuffing as much into the French bread as possible, and I loved their prices. I like supporting family-run small businesses and will be back to Ben Thanh the next time i visit the West Bank.
