Bayou Wine Garden is my favorite of the Bayou ____ Garden franchise. The food and the ambience are great and I love their frosé. The service on both the beer and wine garden sides is hit or miss, though. This last visit on Friday, 1/10/2025, our bartender was wonderful and made our date night really sweet. I appreciated him grabbing my frose from the outside bar instead of sending us into the chilly weather. He was patient and kind with all of our interactions. My mussels and frites were so good, this visit. My boyfriend enjoyed his Parmesan truffle fries. I probably wouldn't get the debris fries again that I've gotten on past visits. I remember the chicken sandwich being okay if not a little dry. I love the warmth of the woody interior with the oak wine barrels and iron design details. There are ample restrooms inside and outside. I also love that in the warmer months, they host the teacher's union during weekday happy hours. In addition to teacher happy hours, I've attended birthday parties and impromptu girl's nights at the Wine Garden. It's a great space for groups of all sizes.

Champagne sangria. Say no more. I lied. I'll say more. I swear BWG has become my #1 drinking destination and I don't even live in Mid-City (but I have considered moving walking distance). In warm weather, not hot, I like sitting outside. When it's very hot or too cold to sit out on the porch or by the fountain, I find myself sitting at the large, oval bar that takes up the majority of the main room before heading to the gardens that surround it. There are friendly regulars and just the kind of neighborhood bar that I can tolerate.Bayou Wine Garden is a magical place where you are amazed at the reasonable prices and the wine and cocktail selection, but also where you find that Champagne sangria is perfect no matter the weather outside.I still wish I could at least have a snack whilst on the sip. I implore you to at least offer up a plant-based app or two... nuts? Taralli? Chips?

This place is becoming a bit of a habit for us and I can't believe I haven't remembered to give them a shout out before now because we always get stellar service. We've always sat at a table before, in which case you order with your phone with a QR code (which makes bill splitting so easy for groups), but we went in just for a couple of drinks and apps so we sat at the bar, and I'd say the experience was even better. My partner likes her frozen drinks and they always enthusiastically offer to walk to the back bar to grab one for her, the signature cocktails are imaginative, or they can competently whip up any classic cocktail (I went with an old fashioned and it was perfect). They make a mean burger, but this time I just went with a huge order of garlic parm fries, and I can also recommend the disco fries (the brisket topping is tender and juicy). The bar is spacious and beautiful, but if you like Al fresco, there's so much pretty outdoor space, and at this time of the year there is a heater at your table. I personally think this is a perfect date spot!

I love coming here to watch the Saints game. The service is always consistently good, the food is good though I hate that they removed the chicken skins. They were a great snack. We had the crabby bites and the Guinness Gouda Burger and fries which was very good. The vibe can be sports like, turn up, and romantic at the same time. One of my favorite spots so I know we'll be back! Oh, they had a pop up. Sadly I forgot the name of the vendor but it was Indian food and was very good. I had chicken and lamb meatballs over rice. They both looked very good and I couldn't decide what I wanted, so we got both. Definitely a "go to" for game day. I love the wine on tap! I'll be back!

Decent selection. Excellent Happy Hour deals. The outdoor area works well; however, the indoor space was a bit cramped. Make sure to go when the weather is nice to catch an outdoor seat. Service was immediate and friendly.

Truly a fav in midcity! Love the specials, variety of drink & food options as well as the lively spring/summer crawfish days. The courtyard is a must and enjoying sitting outside enjoying the Nola weather. This is truly a staple in Nola and a must try. The best!!!

Bayou wine is a staple and my friend groups hang out rotation. It's always so chill even when there's a crowd. How enjoyable it is to be out in the fresh air courtyard during the day or later evening, sipping my wine or frosè under the twinkle string lights. I especially enjoy visiting during crawfish season. The crawfish is always so good! On a nice weather day, it's really hard to beat the vibes at Bayou Wine. Other food items I enjoy is the mussels & garlic parm fries, boudin balls and fish and chips. I plan to get a charcuterie board next time I visit (after the crawfish).Parking can be frustrating in this area and the streets are pretty terrible so just be conscious of that. There is a parking lot across from Bayou wine- it's usually packed.

I was lucky enough to have some locals recommend this to us for our first ever crawfish boil. We grabbed some bikes from downtown and made it here and were just so impressed with the area and the vibe. This is two bars that back up to each other and share an incredible patio space, made for groups/families/dates and had great live music, TV's for sports and even a little market going on.We were so excited to try crawfish, and each of us had drink options that we were excited about, from local brews to wines and cocktails. We quickly found a spot, grabbed a huge mound of crawfish...and watched the locals to figure out what we were doing! I LOVED this experience and am so sad I don't live close enough to have this way more often. We also ordered off their regular menu, the mussels and crab rangoon dip and nothing disappointed. All the food was fantastic, the atmosphere was incredible and we had the perfect day.Any chance you want to create another version of this in the Milwaukee area PLEASE????

First, let me say this review is a 4-star instead of 5 because there was a 20% tip placed on my bill as a default even though we had no table service (ordered from an online menu via a QR code), we only saw a wait staff member when our food was brought to the table, we had to order drinks at the bar and go back and forth to the bar for soft drink refills. A wait staff member cleared the table when we completed food and drinks, but never asked if we wanted a refill on drinks or any other food. We saw a group go get their plates and napkins to eat their appetizers. This is not acceptable given the prices. While the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere inside and out very cool; this lack of service and an attempt to get a 20% tip on the back of no service diminished our visit. As for the food, I ordered the mussels with fries, and my wife ordered the kale and mushrooms grilled cheese. In a word INCREDIBLE!! Who would have thought of kale on a grilled cheese. Wow! My mussels came to the table hot with a beautiful aroma coming from the bowl which was literally filled with mussels. The saffron based broth was heaven on a spoon, which I did eat like a soup when I finished the mussels!! The fries that came with the mussels were cooked crispy the way I like them and very flavorful. I dipped them in the saffron broth which amped up the flavor in a major way.I'm sorry that I couldn't give this a 5-star rating, but the lack of service and a 20% tip placed on our bill as a default was disappointing and I acceptable.
