I cannot believe how rude and inconsiderate the male owner/ manager of this store is. As soon as we walked in he began criticizing my husband for his size and asked him if he wears size 5x (he doesn't). Then he actually asked him what size he wears. I have never witnessed anyone be so disrespectful in my entire life. It took everything in me to simply leave this store rather than punching him in the face. I'm currently looking for some type of visitor bureau so I can report his poor and disgusting treatment.

I wish I could give 0 stars. The African American guy that was working was extremely rude. While looking at the masks he told me I needed to leave because he was closing the store. It was 2pm... I'm not stupid the store wasn't closing. I found something I wanted to purchase but refused to give this kind of person any of my money. As a Louisiana local, I hope visitors don't think all of us are as rude as this man is.

This is this coolest place to fine a souvenir, and the shop owner is super chill. I got a real down home N.O. vibe here. Must visit.

Bought a cute shirt. Got back to hotel - was folding to put in suitcase and noticed a small hole in front. Tags still attached. Had not tried on. Took back with receipt and the manager was extremely rude. Stated "how did that hole get there!" I said I don't know could I please exchange. He did not want to and accused me of causing it! WTH. Why would I put a hole in a brand new shirt I wanted! No others in my size. The man was so rude and confrontational it was not worth it. I said "I'll repair it myself."' And I left. Never experienced such awful customer service in my life. The hole was where the screen printing occurred for the embellishment and the fabric was very very thin at that spot. Obviously when it was in heat press it was in too long or a spot of weak fabric.

A collection of good looking tchotchkes representative of the New Orleans experience at a reasonable price. A must-visit gift store that stands out from many of the others in the French Quarter for the originality of its offerings. I have visited this store a few times and have always found the appropriate gift.

nothing special. The reason it's getting one star is that we had just bought one of those Marti gras masks at a store across the street from this but were looking for another one at Bayou Threads since we couldn't find a feminine blue one at the other one. Well it was in a bag and the lady working there started creeping on the bag and trying to look in it and when she saw it was a mask she accused us of stealing it. well not only did she not carry that exact design, the price tag on it was yellow while all the one in this store were white. we had to argue with her for like 10 min and told her we'd gladly walk back to the store we bought it from to prove it. of course she wasn't interested in doing that. when we basically proved it wasn't stolen she was still a huge bitch. My friend ended up buying a mask from her so she would leave us alone. the whole ordeal made both of us furious and all and all kind of ruined our night. You'd think she'd be used to tourists walking around with similar items since there's about 50 stores in the area with the same products but i guess we can't all be geniuses. Don't shop here, there's plenty of stores with better shit for cheaper prices and way better staff.
