Bayou Snowballs

I was pretty disappointed in this stop on the Westbank snowball tour.First of all, like Jess mentioned, they are really slow. You order at one window and they give you your snowball at another window. We only had two people ahead of us and there was still a bit of a wait to get our snowballs.I got the pink bubblegum. There wasn't a lot of "juice" in it at all and I think you can even tell in my picture that the ice wasn't really soaked. The flavor was weird and tasted like medicine with a weird aftertaste. David tasted mine and he said the same thing. They do have a wide selection of hamburgers and poboys, if you aren't in the mood for a snowball, but you want to munch on something. I probably won't be back.

The perfect way too cool down, first time trying a snow cone with ice cream and I don't regret it! The orange dreamsicle tasted just like an actual ice cream pop! Parking is easy and they accept card and cash!

Of the three snowball stands I stopped at during a recent New Orleans trip this was my least favorite. For one, they're slow (which others have mentioned). In a way though I feel bad. I think the guy that runs it (I'm pretty sure it was only him) has his hand in some of the other small business on the lot this place is located and seemed to be run thin. It took us about 20 mins to get our snowballs with three customers in front of us and none of those orders were all THAT big. I had a pineapple and although it was good enough it was not as good as the other snowballs I had on this New Orleans trip. There was plenty of syrup on it, but it just seemed to be a little watered down.

Favorite place to go on our way to New Orleans. They have the powder type shaved ice so it's very tasty and rich. Awesome staff too, spoke to owner about military stuff , he was awesome.

I don't see myself coming back here which is disappointing since they're the only sno-ball stand I know of that takes cards (at least I'm assuming they do since they charge tax). Maybe I caught them on a bad night, but they just don't seem to have a system together.After ordering I was 3rd in line to receive my order. Well, they had only one girl making everyone's orders (with 2 other people just walking in and out the back doors) so each order was taking a few minutes each. Then the 2 customers who came after me received their orders before myself leaving me last in line for one sno ball. When I finally got to the window the girl left alone to fill orders goes "I'm fricken aggravated!" and intentionally knocks a bunch of styrofoam cups to the floor. After 10 minutes or so I finally get the sno ball and it tastes nothing like the flavor I ordered. I'll give this place an extra star because their flavor choices are extensive. I mean there's really something for everyone. They also serve hot food and snacks. Oh, and the lady who tried to order after me? Yea, 5-10 minutes easily passed by before anyone acknowledged her presence.

Awesome flavors. Numerous treats. Many food items (nachos, burgers, hot dogs, poboys). Ice not too hard not too soft. Service not the fastest but very nice people. Lots of "kids favorites", like Hulk, Spiderman, Spongebob, Rainbow, Garfield (orange & grape) and more. Also have snow shakes, (snowball and ice cream blended together). OMG!! Almost forgot...the banana split snowball!!! Stuffed banana snowball topped with strawberries, chocolate syrup and whipped cream. (Awesomeness in a cup!)

Super slow :( stopped today and there was already 9 people waiting around. I opted to stay in the ac truck while my awesome SO went to get the snowballs. He waited a few then comes back and says they aren't making snowballs... Wth? You waited to find out the aren't making snowballs? Bad business. Post a sign or something. We won't go back. I found the drive thru one near by much better.
