Bayou Lagniappe

They advertised open they were closed. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant out with all the great past reviews. There were several vehicles parked out front. Someone opened the door to the restaurant and stated they were closed with no explanation.

Amazing customer service!! Big group of out of town-ers come in an hour before closing and how do they react? Very good eats! The place doesn't look like much from the outside but well worth the trip! We picked this place since it was near the ONLY movie cinema in southern Louisiana still open for business. So happy we found it!

Bayou Lagniappe is tucked away along the Atchafalya River. The quaint eatery offers seafood and an array of other food. Do not expect a fancy dining experience, but the food will knock your socks off!All the boiled seafood--crabs, crawfish, & shrimp--are delicious! The seasoning and spice are perfect. I also recommend the burger and bread pudding.Don't pass this gem!

Yummy small lunch place to go to when you're hungry! Would come back when I pass by the area again!

This is an incredible spot right across the river from Morgan City. The food and service is incredible and the price is fantastic. You will not go away hungry.

Overall, AMAZING. Chef goes above and beyond. Monthly specials are ALWAYS delicious. Comfortable, friendly environment. 10/10 Recommend.

This is a great family owned restaurant! The offer several boiled seafood dinner, local crabs, shrimp and fish. The customer service is very personalized. Our eastern and northern accents identified us as "not from around here". The staff took time to explain menu items, find out where we are from and how we found the restaurant. In turn, they shared the history and family relationships make the place work.The food is excellent. Save room for the bread pudding. It is probably the best I have eaten. On our first visit, we ordered one to share. On the second visit, we each ordered our own.

Very friendly workers and owner. Boiled crawfish was delicious. Great family friendly atmosphere, we will be back.

Just wow. I generally won't eat boiled seafood at a restaurant (only at home). Everything here was perfect. Nothing was over cooked. The crabs were full and sweet. The shrimp was tender. My only disappointment was that we wimped out and got the regular spice. Now that we know their baseline, we could easily go to the spicy. But, that's on us because we were too cautious. We also had the crawfish and spinach boat. Excellent as well! We finished off with the blueberry bread pudding--also excellent. It's clearly a family owned place and everyone knows everyone. Staff were very friendly. We didn't have reservations, but they worked us in.
