Came here 2 days in a row. It's right off Frenchman street, but it's a nice spot. Last night, they had good music and today during the day, the music is nice. Decent seating and standing room. We got shots of tequila, but their selection of cocktails is nice. Service is nice. The bartender is nice. The bands are very crowd friendly/interactive.

Now this place was popping! The bands had a lot to do the atmosphere here! Casual, easy going, friendly & probably (IMO) best music! We hung around enough to hear two different bands. Both had their own niche, getting crowds going, & music. There is no food served here, there is a vendor in the back serving food for sale. We enjoyed this place over all especially the wide variety of music.

Well, isn't this place loads and loads of FUN! Aaahh yeeeeah, maaaan. BMC will rock those socks off! Started my Frenchmen street bar hopping journey at this jazz bar and it ended up being my absolute favorite! The venue is cozy but inviting. Colorful, loud, fun, and full of all different walks of life. The band that was playing was so talented! I wish I could remember the name of the band, but I was drankin', I was drankiiin. But honestly, I had such a fabulous time here. Seating is limited but finding a nice little spot at the bar isn't too bad. Plus, you'll probably be singing and dancing at some point, so the standing will become unnoticeable. The bartenders were awesome! Super fast and attentive even with the swarms of crowds that were coming in. The drinks were so tasty and also decently priced. Literally stayed here for a few hours and made friends with several people at the bar. I even met some people from California (my home state). We chopped it up and went bar hopping down the block together after leaving here. Frenchmen Street is truly something else, but BMC makes it even that much better. If you're looking for a fun jazz bar with great live music, look no further. BMC is that spot!

An iconic and historic spot in FQ, this club host many of popular and upcoming bands. Has a huge floor in front of the stage to sit and enjoy, or dance with while the bands perform. No cover, bars are available in front and back. Drinks are pretty good and decently priced. Bar tenders take good care and have good skills. There's a beautiful small patio in the back, with gorgeous murals.

This is a great place to see live music. Every time I've walked by, I've stopped to pause and give a listen to the lively act on stage.I recently came in for a couple drinks and to check out the bands. It's a really generous space without seeming too cavernous, so it's a nice, intimate experience with small tables and chairs and even some window booths which make for great people-watching since it's on lower Decatur across from Checkpoint Charlies and a hop, skip and a sway from all the wonders of Frenchman. One of the many things I love about my city is that you can catch a live act and satisfy the one drink minimum (there is no cover here) and not spend a small fortune like in bigger cities. I had two giant cups of sangria at less than 15 bucks a pop while enjoying blues acts up front and center. The crowd is often a little more chill here depending on the night and if you need a break from the mayhem of Frenchman or, heaven forbid, Bourbon, you will be quite content at BMC.

Excellent local music. No cover. Tip the band! Nice draft beers. Easy going waitstaff. Kind of industrial interior. Somewhat limited seating. At the edge of the happening scene on Frenchman.

Fantastic music venue in the French Quarter. If you get there early, between 5 and 7, you can get great seats. We saw Grammy winning Piano Man G and he and his band put on an amazing show. We got about three hours of amazing piano and sax music before all the drunk selfie crowd started coming in. Drinks are decent, basic, most are about 12 bucks. Bartenders are nice and they are fast.

Having been to New Orleans multiple times this is my favorite Jazz spot that's right off of Frenchmen Street. It was so great I actually went two nights in a row.You might have other popular names on Frenchmen street that I also recommend to checkout and places like Preservation Hall which is worth checking out if you want a more traditional old school New Orleans style jazz. However if you want a laidback environment and something that won't be too packed and you can actually sit down and have a drink and relax without getting reservations or tickets in advance than this is the place to be. I had a great time the two times I visited during my time and will return back again.

Great music here all the time. Drink specials and friendly staff makes this a go to place. Best is it's not part of the bourbon street drunks. It's about the music
