We decided to stop in to Bacchus on the Beach the night before we left town. I soooo wish we would have had time for a quick bite beforehand, though. Their food was delicious and I would have absolutely returned to try more treats. All of the ladies in our group got appetizers. We ordered the crab croquettes, the Mardi Gras poppers, and the seared ahi tuna. We all shared a bite of everything and it was phenomenal. The drinks were tasty (I had an old fashioned) and the service was top notch. If you are in the area, definitely come check out this wonderful restaurant and enjoy the beautiful sunset!

Our food was good. Our service was not the fastest or the friendliest. But it was still good. My husband got the ribeye and said it was okay, but nothing special. I will tell you the bone-in pork chop was maybe the best pork chop I have had. It was so great. So I suggest the pork chop for sure. We both got dessert my husband got key lime pie and I got bread pudding. Both were okay but not great. Could be skipped honestly.

I was looking for a new place to eat in Bay St. Louis and this place popped up. I looked at the pictures and the reviews and they looked really good. When I saw the picture of the pork chop, I knew my husband would be excited because his favorite thing is a double cut pork chop, we got there at about 230 on a Sunday afternoon and we're seated immediately. The service was great. I wasn't super hungry so I got the crabcakes appetizer and a side salad which I did not get a picture of crabcakes were good but not the best crabcakes I've ever had and they were more like crab balls, not crabcakes, but the taste was OK. The pork chop was tasty, but it was a little bit overcooked so my husband was disappointed you get your choice of side so he picked the creamed spinach and it was good but it could've been hotter and the cheese on top was not melted. There was also some kind of sweet sauce that was cold in a cup that came with it and we couldn't figure out what that was for because it wasn't something that went well with the pork chop. he also asked if they could bring us some bread three tiny slices of French bread with some butter packets and they charge an extra dollar for that which we thought was pretty funny because if you weighed these bread slices they weighed almost nothing. All in all it was a decent lunch but not spectacular. I would try to go again and give them another chance because they have great views of the marina and it was the day we went so we sat inside but I would go back to sit at the outdoor bar area that looks great.

Finally went to one of the most talked about restaurants on the Gulf Coast, but for lunch.I'll try again to determine if it's this mediocre every lunch.

I've never been a big fan of grits or gumbo, I tried them both here and enjoyed them a lot they were very good. We didn't have to wait long at all for food and it was very good, and they have it decorated for mardi gras overall a very good and decorated restaurant

Good food, good scenery and gorgeous weather. Bacchus is always solid. We sat outside for dinner and enjoyed the "First day of Fall" weather. Everything was great. Bacchus is on our regular rotation. It never misses.

My oldest son took me to lunch for my birthday and it did not disappoint! He got the Bacchus Boy Poboy and he said it was amazing. I got the Shrimp Poboy. The bread was soft in the inside and slightly crisp on the outside. The ratio of tartar sauce to sandwich was perfect, not too much and just enough. The tartar sauce had a perfect tanginess and the perfect amount of shrimp. Our server gave good service, food arrived in a timely manner and drinks were refilled as necessary. The ambiance is always great. It was a beautiful day with a cool breeze. Always nice to enjoy eating outside.

Had a lovely afternoon at Bacchus. The food was so delicous. Since we shared a crab bisque, I had the fried green tomato app for my dinner. And the cocktails - we hit happy hour and had $6 old fashioned. Our every wish was handled so professionally by our server Blake! Thank you Blake for a lovely afternoon!

The food was great, would definitely come here again! The service was fantastic, and the view was great! The outside of the building however looked closed even though it was open.

Service was good. Food was good overall Ordered the seafood platter & it was the smallest seafood platter for $35 we have ever had compared to other restaurants in Mississippi, Slidell & New Orleans. Crab cake was delicious, oysters soft fried were good , shrimp didn't taste like gulf shrimp. Gumbo broth was delicious BUT not one spec of seafood, or anything in the entire bowl except a smidge of rice. Only broth. For $11 definitely not worth it. Sorry, but for $50 for 2 and both items were shared . Mixed review, good flavor, but costly for portion sizes. We will probably not go again, but recommend for decent food.
